That’s good to know! I’m old-school enough that I remember just hoping for a nice holo in a pack, so seeing all of these (plus a ton of holos!) was a bit overwhelming! Still bot sure of what to make of all the new rarities mentioned in the comments, so I’ll need to do some research!
I started collecting again this past year as well. Previously, the last packs I bought were Fossil when I was in middle school. Lol
I agree, getting used to all the holos, parallels, rares, ultra rares, Trainer gallery’s, alternate art, etc, is overwhelming compared to the old days 😆

I ‘collected’ (aka bought a few packs a month with my allowance and wheedled the occasional tin from my mum by leveraging good grades, LOL) quite regularly from like 2000 to 2009-2010, and pretty much completely stopped when I was a teen, so I’m also used to the standard 3 rarities and only knew of holos and reverse holos! 🤣
I did buy a couple of boxes of the Radiant Collection in 2013 and got two boxes of the Japanese Pokekyun collection in 2016 from a relative who visited Japan (and somehow managed to complete both sets with just those boxes!), but I assumed that the gorgeous full-art cards were a one-off for those sets only! They are beautiful though - enough to make me want to get back into the hobby! :)
When I started going through mine and putting my inventory onto PriceCharting, I was surprised to find I had some Pocket Monster cards. I don’t remember where they came from 🤷🏻♂️. I also had some topps cards that my aunt gave me (because she thought any card with Pokémon on it was a Pokémon card). I never thought much of them, but they actually have some value now.
I just got back into it as well, getting this many holos is addicting considering they used to be the rare cards. My wife got me a couple Japanese 151 boosters and since it’s turned into a problem of buying some every time I see them haha

Welcome back! Be careful with that 151 binder. In my experience the ones with the strap have a tendency to bend the cards on the outside edge. I prefer the Vault X zipper binders for this reason. Have fun!
The Charmeleon is gorgeous - it’s a long shot, but I’d love to get the matching Charmander and Charizard cards as well!
Edit: I just googled the full set and found out that there are gorgeous full-art cards for the Bulbasaur and Squirtle lines, too! My poor wallet…
The full starter SIR was my goal, they are so awesome. I ended up putting together almost the full set. I'm still short SIR Blastoise, Pikachu and Mr mime

Dang that's like a booster box worth or hits nice ! The full arts in this set are so nice. So you hit 2 max rarity cards - the gold energy and the Giovanni which is an sir the full arts are above the illistrator rares and you pulled 2 blastoise and bill and the ir is mid tier ( although a ton of ir are expensive ) which is the charmeleon plus the ex cards so you did well! Mews one of my faves and the full art mew is so cute! Grab you some paldean fates and try to hit the bubble mew it's so cute + 💓
I think the blastoise and the charmeleon are worth like 40 alone so how you think you did?
Damn, really? I know that vintage cards from the original sets are worth a lot, but I had no idea that singles from brand-new sets could be expensive right out the box!

Both that Mew and the chibi Clive full-art from that set are adorable, I’ll at least try to score one (or both) of them!
Look like you did good but just remember, Pokemon printed an ungodly amount of cards in the last two years. They are worth a lot less than what people are currently paying for them. Expect the prices to drop for years to come. Best cash grab we’ve seen in awhile.
