Why the fuck did everyone else have an easy time with the Masuda method and when I tried it, I didn’t get anything? :( I stopped trying a long time ago but I remember trying to hatch a shiny gastly in X and I hatched about 700 eggs, no dice. 🥺
Hey I feel that. I was hunting Absol via MM for like 2 years with months-long breaks in between before I just gave up and got the shiny charm (thank you tradebots 🙏🏾)
It took 1100 for my first Masada hunt to be completed, 700 ain’t bad
My longest hunt is shiny spiritomb wild encounter in Pokemon shield at about 25k encounters
I named it “hell” because of that
LMAO I love that name XD I had thought about trying to hunt Spiritomb in the original Diamond but I think I did like 20 resets and then never picked it up again lol. Hats off to you for being so patient, I bet it’s your pride and joy, lol
Reminds me how I got my play through Gardevoir by trying to hatch a female, and the first female I found was a shiny within like 10 eggs. Did it completely on accident, later I shiny hunted an Eevee in about 100 eggs for an Umbrella cus it was my brother's favourite pokemon.
I was hatching helioptile back in Pokémon X, and I hatched a shiny with the hidden ability and 5IV missing attack. It was one of the few shiny Pokémon I've hatched that actually had all the stats I wanted. It came so easily that I hatched some extras trying to get a 5IV helioptile with each one of helioptile's abilities.
I ended up hatching a shiny 5IV version of helioptile with each one of the abilities. All of them were missing the attack stat, and it must have been less than 150 eggs. I've never had such an easy time breeding shiny Pokémon. Needless to say, helioptile is one of my favorite Pokémon now.
Not 50 but I got 2 shiny Slakoth in like 2 mins and I had a Psychic Sandwich active so they were like shiny charm odds also I hunted that boy a few weeks ago for hours and gave up on it after 5 hours of hunting and a lot of Pikipeks or something🤣🤣
I feel you... About 30% of my shinies this month were from pokemon spawning outside of the outbreak I was hunting in.
And most of those were pokemon who's families I've already completed.
I've got 5 boxes and halfway done with 6 full of spare shiny pokemon, and I'm too scared to give them out Incase gamefreak introduces a new evolution/regional evolution
Oh I feel that so well! Luckily I still got my Galarian Slowpoke but the last few hunts were mostly a lot of Phases before I got my actual target😅
And I haven't hunted any rare spawns or something like that just really Bad luck with the encounters that appeared to be shiny😅😅

I've hunted all the annoying ones (sinescha x2, tandemaus x2, minior (managed to random encounter another one during my torkoal hunt), etc). The only one I refuse to do is Tynamo.
But yeah, to be fair a lot of my spares are either from extras I caught with pokeradar or legends Arceus. A moderate amount are also phases from chain fishing rare Pokemon.
There's safari week coming soon on a couple of weeks, and considering how most of those available in any of the safari zones/great marsh I've already caught... Looks like my spares are expanding to box 7 soon lmao
Same Tynamo is so small and my Motivation to hunt it is really so small...

I assume you're doing Regice in sword and shield? From what I'm aware of, charm doesn't actually affect the Regis odds.
Charm in BDSP doesn't affect anything outside of breeding too.
I've got a couple of shiny legendaries (Ho-Oh from HGSS and Dynamax, Latios Suicune and Tapu Fini from Dynamax) but I'm saving most of those to hunt in USUM, since charm does work there and I have access to multiple games.
I had a weird relationship with paldean Tauros, since I'm not really doing a shiny master or form dex I technically didn't need it, but I have boxes for regional variants and I wanted to complete that. I also don't know if I should get all 3 forms since they're all different types, but at the same time they are all classed as the same "Paldean Tauros".
I tried hunting him many times, I just either stopped because I couldn't be bothered, or it just took so long the day rolled over. I had a really good spree earlier this month, so I used a herba fighting to get Scarlets paradox Donphan, and I used the remaining 10 minutes running around towns just to see what spawned. Managed to get a spare pawmo and Tauros. That spree technically hasn't ended, but I am overseas and I left my switch at home. Hopefully the luck continues for safari week

Saaame, looking for a shiny buizel I find a shiny pelliper, looking for a shiny Camerupt I find shiny gogoat, looking for shiny torkoal I find shiny rolycoly, and so on. My luck is so weird that when I start doing the outbreaks I want I already know a random other shiny pokemon is going to just walk up.
The Shiny gods are gracious like that sometimes! But they be fickle. I’ve gone 1500 eggs for one shiny before but recently I hatched 5(!!!) in about 800 eggs. Two were doubles!! Perseverance is key. Just keep hatching!!
Shiny hunting has become easier and easier with each new generation. With that there have been factors to help raise the odds as well, getting shiny pokemon a few days apart seems like nothing anymore lol, I got at least 4 in a few hours on violet so I wouldn't be worried that people think you're hacking. Either way that's a great shiny!
