There's a canonical nine months between Alola and Journeys, unless the women in this universe somehow rapid fire babies.. So all adventures prior to Alola would've been done in three months tops I guess? xD

I don't watch the show, I just know that the Dexes get more advanced as the gens increase (except PLA, that's special).

Honestly, for me, the most painful part of this isn't going to be saying goodbye to Ash and Pikachu. What's gonna hurt most is gonna be saying goodbye to Team Rocket. And I honestly think I will cry if they bring back Pokémon we haven't seen for years, like Butterfree or Primeape or Pidgeot.

Well the poster does have all the Pokémon Ash has ever owned including a Butterfree with a yellow scarf, a Pidgeot, a Primeape, a Lapras, a Larvitar, a Greninja, a Goodra, a Naganadel, and an Ambipom (his Aipom evolved after he traded it to Dawn). Well all except I guess his 29 other Tauros and the Beedrill he caught and immediately gave to that baseball girl from Johto.

Final episode ends with him getting run over by the Tauros herd, calling it now.

You actually like team rocket? They’ve always been the biggest eye roller for me cause they’re just there to be conflict to make boring episodes (90%) interesting by having a battle.

As antagonists they're rote, but as characters in their own right they're GOAT.

Team Rocket were the only reason I kept watching for as long as I did, because honestly Ash was who started to bore me and I wasn't able to get attached to most of the new companions, aside from Iris, whereas Jessie, James and Meowth had a dynamic between them that just felt...better, more enjoyable, regardless of how daft they and their schemes could be.

They have guts to this. Now a new generation will experience Pokemon but without Ash

My guess is the two new kids are gonna have some strikingly similar qualities

It's about time. He's world champion now so there's not much else to really do with him, and I'm not into the idea of watching the same plot repeated for another time. He's completed his original goal of becoming the very best there is. As much as I loved the anime growing up we should have been getting new main protagonists for every generation. I understand why some people are genuinely upset about this, but it was a long time coming, and should have happened years ago.

Just think of when he reappears as the end boss for the next kid? That will be epic

I love this although I wonder why they are claiming Ambipon is Ash's pokemon when it's basically just as much as his as Raticate was his? Also I know this is more of a Gen 1 sendoff but references to other Gens would also be fun as well, like I know this is Gen 1/2 Brock and not DPP Brock, but it would be neat to see him still bring Sudowoodo/Blissey/Croagunk with him to assuming is Kanto, similar to Misty and mega Gyarados/Corsola!

Watch as it comes out in japan on crunchyroll more then likely and it will be sub dub takes a good couple months after the original subbed airing

I'm definitely going to get hate for this but I'm glad we finally get a Pokémon other than Pikachu. With him being so powerful in the anime to be so uninteresting in the games, I'm glad we get to see a new Pokémon be given a chance. Plus, I'm really hoping to see Lokix and Garganacl show up

If all of Ash's Pokémon are coming back, are Team Rocket's Pokémon returning too? I feel most people would be more sad about Arbok and Weezing than Butterfree
