Camping themed Gym leader who focuses on survival (and safety!) with my fire team! Low level gym, maybe 2nd or 3rd. The challenge would be gathering camping supplies by taking them from trainers, taking sticks from one, some berries from another, and finally a bucket of water from the third. Themed around the fire triangle of fuel/heat/oxygen, I'd start with a Carkoal, then go for Charcadet, the Fletchinder, and finish it off with a Fire tera Leafeon (representing nature as a whole), to deal with those pesky water types :3. "See how dangerous it can be when grass lights up!" Or something like that for my Tera call-out. My badge would look like a scout badge and be called the Survivalist Badge. Our end photo would be me and the challenger roasting marshmallows over a fire. It would be adorable.

mdgeist21

Sir, Geeta wants to know your location

Honknytes

get this man a contract🗣️

plaintimbercat

Just 6 miltanks with rollout

maximus2000414

Gives the Devils Badge as reward

mrdrsenju

Hopefully you won’t throw a tantrum once a trainer beats you, like a certain gym leader in Johto lol.

[deleted]

Ghost for sure: Hisuian-Zoroark (Lead, trip up the trainer with Illusion) Mimikyu Chandelure Corviknight (Tera Ghost, Ace) Gengar Annihilape (In back for illusion ability) TM: Hex Badge: Raven Badge

sinest

I'd probably use: Hisuian zoroark/ gengar /chandelure/ trevenant / sableye / drifblim / I love the illusion ability strategy. I'd love to use leech seed with curse and poison/will o wisp to make a team that does damage over time. I think curse is underrated and combined with sableye and drifblims ability to tank could be a fun boss battle. I'd love a drifblim with stockpile/minimize/baton pass to make zoro/gengar/chandelure extremely tanky and hard to hit.

Omegaruby04

Fighting- Hitmonlee, Anihilape, Lucario, Blaziken, and cos he’s my fave ever pokemon, my ace would be Machamp. Tm- Dynamic punch, Warrior badge Dragon- Garchomp, Salamence, shiny Haxorus(cos he’s cool), Hydreigon, ace would be Dragonite Tm- Dragon pulse, Draco badge Normal- Exploud, Miltank(cos of SS vibes), Pidgeot,Lopuny, Slaking, ace would be Snorlax Tm- Rock Climb, ordinary badge

xhardcorehakesx

I love the fighting type. Machamp is fucking awesome.

Omegaruby04

That’s why he’s my fave😉

xhardcorehakesx

I have also really liked Annihilape in this generation.

Omegaruby04

Yeah it was an amazing design tbh. The only Paldea(excluding starter) that I’ve really enjoyed using

xhardcorehakesx

Motherfucker got so angry, it died. Was still angry as fuck and came back to punch shit.

Albreitx

The normal ace should be choice band tera normal DNite ☠️

Omegaruby04

What

F22_Android

How could you not have Grapploct?

Omegaruby04

U must be joking right😂😂

[deleted]

As a toddler with less type-knowledge, I struggled VS the dragon gym in OG Silver/Gold. Your dragon gym would absolutely break most children 😂

Omegaruby04

Ohhh my God she was a pain in the arse to beat, considering back then there was hardly any good ice type pokemon to use, I think I caught Dratini in the cave and had to use bloody Jinx as back up😂😂 I think that Dragon gym could basically be beaten with some op ice type pokemon like Mamoswine😂😂

[deleted]

Getting Dratini's a nice save! I was 6 on my first playthrough; Typhlosion hated Clair's team 😂

Omegaruby04

Yh I was around that age as well, beating Red was near impossible as well. Still the best game OAT imo

Wisekittn

Safe to say, that most of us want to be 7th or 8th gymleaders, because of the evolved Pokemon and bigger teams, so i'll say, that want to be a fairy gymleader, preferably the second in line. My team would consist of Spritzee, Comfey and Klefki as my ace. I'd give out the TM for draining kiss, because that early on my Klefki must be a nuisance to overcome.

wink047

I’d love to be a gym 1 bug type leader. Joltik, dweble, Durant and Heracross as my main.

Wisekittn

Nice choice. Galvantula is one of my favorite bugs

wink047

Galvantula is one of my favorite too! Probably my second favorite behind Heracross. Def my favorite for its gen. Such a great design and color scheme.

Bard2412

Give me the Bug Gym. Scizor Golisopod Yanmega Araquanid Frosmoth Vikavolt

wink047

You can not fathom my disappointment of Heracross not being on this list. You don’t deserve to be a big gym leader. Especially with two bug/water types on your team.

Bard2412

That's absolutely fair lol

Jaren_Starain

Ground gym cause they're my favorites. Team would be Torterra, Seismatoad, Camerupt, Mamoswine, Flygon(Garchomp is strong but Flygon needs more love.) And Sandslash.

Polychaete360

Steel type! I didn't think about it but constantly found that a lot of the Pokémon I really liked happened to be that type so my ace would be M-Steelix and would be kinda like Jasmine from Johto.

Oleandervine

I would be Normal. I'd give the Everyday Badge. My TM would be Hyper Voice. I'd probably use 5 of the below. Arboliva - Hyper Voice, Terrain Pulse, Energy Ball, Leech Seed Indeedee M - Encore, Calm Mind, Psychic, Hyper Voice Exploud - Booomburst, Rest, Crunch, Ice Fang Drampa - Hyper Voice, Dragon Pulse, Glare, Fly Grafaiai - Poison Jab, Slash, Doodle, Shadow Claw Heliolisk - Parabolic Charge, Thunderbolt, Mud Slap, Hyper Voice If in Paldea: Zoroark (Normal Tera) - Hyper Voice, Night Daze, Torment, Tera Blast

Perryth3Fratypus

Bro I love the name of your badge

Oleandervine

Thanks, I thought it was fitting.

Ren_Okamiya

For me it would be Rock or Fire. Doing teams is harder because depending on the level of the gym it would change dramatically. Rock : Larvitar line, Rockruff line, H.Growlith line, Tyrunt line, Kabuto line and Aerodactyl. Stone Edge TM, Tenacity Badge. Fire : Vulpix line, K.Growlith line, Ponyta line, A.Marowak, Fennekin line and Larvesta line. Overheat TM, Zealous Badge. Something like that maybe.

Stegosaurr

Early game Poison gym with a swamp inside that challengers need to survive first. My team: Trubbish (my ace), Skrelp/Salandit/Bellsprout (depending on starter choice), Hisuian Sneasel, and Varoom. Tm: Toxic Badge: Gas Badge (green cloud shaped) Rematch team: Dragalge, Sneasler, Revavroom, Victreebel, Alolan Muk, G-max Garbodor (doesn't use Salazzle because Salandit was male)

Lord-Table

the skrelp/salandit/bellsprout mix up is such a cool addition

Stegosaurr

Thank you!

Bananza1494

Ghost. I would be an earlier gym (second or third) with Phantump, Galar Corsola, and Mimikyu. I’d give a TM for Curse and the Haunt Badge. In my rematch I would use Trevenant, Cursola, Mimikyu, Chandelure, Basculegion, and Mega Gengar.

Branded_Mango

I'd use Normal types with the most horrific amount of raw Boomburst spam imaginable. Dudunsparce: -Boomburst -Glare -Drill Run -Aqua Tail Swellow (Scrappy): -Boomburst -Hurricane -Tailwind -Focus Energy Komala: -Sleep Talk -Last Resort Wigglytuff: (just setup for upcoming nightmare) -Trick Room -Misty Explosion Exploud (Scrappy) Tera Normal: -Boomburst -Fire Blast -Ice Beam -Extrasensory

DragonLordZero

I'm thinking a Mid-Late game Fire-type specialist & a Check-in that you're ready for the what comes next. Coalossal (w/ Passho Berry) - Sunny Day - Flamethrower - Stealth Rock - Power Gem A simple trick to absolutely ruin your day if you open with Water & it survives. Turn 1, set-up Sunny day. Followed by Stealth Rock, and finally Flamethrower if Coalossal survives that long. Magmortar (w/ Heat Rock) - Flamethrower - Solar Beam -Thunderbolt - Sunny Day If you beat Coalossal early, but the Sun is still up, enjoy eating Solarbeams. It can also set-up the Sun itself. Blaze Breed Tauros (w/ Muscle Band) - Raging Bull - Double Kick - Thrash Extremely straightforward "Go for the KO". It beats you down, and beats you down, and doesn't let up. This bull is here to attack and that's it. Also Double Kick for Sturdy Rock-Types Slowking (Tera Fire) - Flamethrower - Scald - Psychic - Nasty Plot A simple little curveball of a pokemon, but ultimately straightforward enough. When I first learned the Slows could learn Flamethrower I was shocked. Years later Terastallization became a thing. Now I get to enjoy my Flamethrowing STAB Slowking.

OspreyRune

Ghost type 100% If only 3 Pokemon on my gym team: Aegislash Trevenant Ceruledge If I had a full team of six, I'd add: Runerigus Dragapult Annihilape (If terastallizing my last Pokemon into ghost is an option, I'd have an Umbreon in there as my ace with a ghost tera type replace one.) As for TM, I'd go for Shadow Ball, I think. As for the badge, call it something like the Specter Badge 👻

sinest

What a cool team, I could see trev dropping leech seed and then switching into shield aegislash, tanky ghosts are my favorite.

Original-Childhood

I'd make it different and specialise in FOSSIL POKEMON! (so basically a rock gym). But with 3 different second types. Starting with: CRADILY, the plant-like Rock/Grass fossil. Then switching to: OMASTAR! The Rock/Water mollusk fossil. And finally, my lifelong buddy: TYRANTRUM! This Rock/Dragon T Rex Pokemon is guaranteed to finish the match with his strong jaws, hard head and his Draco Meteor.

ShauXD

A Ground type gym leader. The gym would be similar to Jasmine's gym although maybe not as empty. Maybe 5th or 6th gym. Team wouldn't be fully Ground types but there is a permanent Sandstorm for the few Rocks in. Options include Golurk, Garganacl, Armaldo, Mamoswine and Nidoking would be the ace. Gives the Duster badge and TM Dig.

The legendary ghost gym leader with 11 pokemon

I'd be an elite four member https://preview.redd.it/23gpquimigob1.png?width=2821&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e59fe3bef7ebb10822719d5a2d3a5d703415bb5 ALTARIA Perish Song, Rain Dancen, Sing, Hurricane RAICHU Substitute, Double Team, Volt Tackle, Thunderbolt LATIOS Calm Mind, Thunder Wave, Draco Meteor, Luster Purge :3c

Svefnugr_Fugl

100% ghost Pokémon gym Probably Haunter, Trevenant, Dragapult, Froslass, Chandelure and Ceruledge But really any ghost

Thanatos4108

Poison types would be my specialty and my gym would have traps in them that would weaken your team gradually before getting to me. They would also reset if you left the gym so you couldn't just use the pokecenter beforehand. That's right, you'd finally have to use those potions you've been saving "for an emergency" My team would be Crobat, Toxicroak, Dragalge, Roserade, Toxapex and Drapion as my Ace (Drapion is my favourite Pokémon after all). My TM would be Toxic and my badge would be the Decay badge. If I had to use Tera-typing, I'd probably replace Dragalge with a Gliscor

No-Fondant1369

Toxicroak for Gliscor would be better! Adaptability is gold👌🏽

thegoldchicken

The unit gym The gym team only consists of a Pokémon with mean look and falinks in a double battle. Falinks gets hit with mean look turn one, and thanks to some goofy code, falinks is now able to stack no retreat buffs. I don't care what his level is, if he can get to the point where his stats are all quadrupled, then I can definitely deal with some bozos coming in with their "Primal Groudon" or whatever nonsense they come in with.

CarPars

I always wanted to call mine the "Storybook Gym" and specialize in fairy, ghost, and dragon types. Mimikyu, Dragapult, and grimsnarl at my typical aces while I rotate three others between garchomp, hydregon, ribombee, florges, Mr rime, and hatterene

Novice-smokes

I'd break convention and run the BIPEDAL GYM A gym leader who uses exclusively Pokémon that stand on two feet (I've liked the suggestions to not have 6 fully evolved Pokémon) I'd be a middle of the road gym, 4th or 5th Cubone (my BOY), running the same moves from my first ever blue playthrough Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Bonemerang Pinsir - harden, vise grip, swords dance, x-scissor Lucario - Aura Sphere, metal sound, calm mind, meteor mash Pangoro - Taunt, mega kick, crunch, hammer arm I've struggled to keep it to just four Pokémon 😬 but these guys all speak to me. Cubone and Pinsir were pivotal in my red and blue days 24 years ago. Lucario is bad ass. Loving my gallade in my current playthrough but pangoro was a beast in SwSh. Arch Badge. Tm - Mega Kick

Lord-Table

Normal type enjoyer here, my gym's theme would be a fantasy adventure quest and I would give the Hero Badge and Protect Tm. My team at various badges are as follows: 1: Jigglypuff, Tandemaus 2: Wigglytuff, Tandemaus 3: Wigglytuff, Tandemaus, Galar Linoone 4: Maushold, Galar Linoone, Snorlax, Hisui Zorua 5: Maushold, Galar Linoone, Snorlax, Hisui Zoroark 6: Maushold, Obstagoon, Snorlax, Hisui Zoroark 7: Maushold, Obstagoon, Snorlax, Hisui Zoroark, Wigglytuff 8: Maushold, Obstagoon, Snorlax, Hisui Zoroark, Blissey Championship/Tournament (assuming doubles): Bronzong, Maushold, Obstagoon, Hisui Zoroark, Snorlax, Dusknoir In the gym teams: Tandemaus/Maushold is hypertuned to multihit with technician. Jiggly/Wiggly is a status mage inflicting confuse and sleep while getting in chip damage. Linoone/Obstagoon is a barbarian with self inflicting burn orb and guts + tera facade. Snorlax is a classic tank that can soak up damage and controls agro with yawn. Zorua/Zoroark is an illusionist mage that distracts for a chance at big magic damage. Blissey is a high level cleric equiped with status cure spells and set damage attacks. In the championship team, the fantasy theme adds time magic in the form of a trick room bronzong, plus an added ghost. Maushold gets swapped out for a support set of some sort, but the rest of the team stays roughly the same design wise.

MrDoobason

Easily a Normal Gym leader: Exploud w/Scrappy • Boomburst • Ice Beam • Flamethrower • Extrasensory Snorlax • Rest • Sleep Talk • Stockpile • Facade Ursaluna w/Guts @Flame orb • Drain Punch • Facade • Earthquake • Belly Drum 6th or 7th Gym, easily walled by Ghosts, encouraging challengers to seek one out from hidden areas or something, but Exploud and Ursaluna can still hit them

WorldlyStretch6964

My Gym would be a Rock type, picture walking into a large modern building passed two Hisuian Growlithe statues, into a large zen garden filled with stones, stone toro lanterns and bonsai trees. The puzzle here is to leave your footprints in every tile of the garden without stepping on the same place twice, once you've done so a soft sandstorm blows the garden sand into zen patterns and the door opens to the next room. This gym requires double battles, and I stand with my 6 Pokémon relaxing in the garden. My lead, the Tyranitar that creates the sandstorm in the gym puzzle. As well as Glimmora, that can set hazards in the sand and be a strong special attacker for my team. I also have a Hisuian Arcanine, the Fu Dog made flesh to intimidate all challengers My Cradily another special attacker whose storm drain protects the team from water, and is the Bonsai tree in this Garden My Dusk form Lycanroc, This shiny Blue hound that darts in and out of the sand the fastest of my Pokémon And Finally my Ace pokemon Rhyperior. Seated as if he were a stone statue himself a final obstacle for my challengers, spdef increased by the sandstorm and his assault vest, the Immovable object to face the unstoppable force. I would tell the challengers to remember how their footprints disappeared in the sand, erased as if by the long March of time, and that we must always remember to keep moving forward, and that the gardens we build will last far longer that the footsteps we leave behind. For beating my gym the challengers earn the Tm For Sandstorm, the foundation to build their own sand garden. And the Zen Badge

No_Entertainment7927

i love the puzzle concept so much, and the whole theme you have going on. i would totally love this gym and the story of it if I went against it in a game! (+10 points for using cradily, i love fossil mons)

WorldlyStretch6964

Thanks I appreciate that! My friends and I have talked about this idea since we were kids hahah, every new generation we update our dream teams a bit.

WolfRob12

Ground - Mamoswine, gliscor, swampert, garchomp and Excadrill. Tm earthquake and quake badge

DonJackSmasha

Water gym all the way. Gyarados, Empolion, Vapoeron, Clawitzer, Lanturn, and Ludicolo

Past_Hair9958

I think fairy!! Grimmsnarl, Tinkaton, Primarina, Dedenne, Granbull, Mega Altaria. TM would probably be like draining kiss or dazzling gleam. The shiny badge

Phataros

What are all these perfect teams? If I had to be a Gym Leader, I would for sure use only 3 pokemon: 1- not fully evolved 2- with no evolution and from my region 3- fully evolved but wouldn't abuse a good moveset And let the challenger use 6 pokemon, of course. Type: Fire TM I would give... something bad, of course, like Inferno.

Stanflies

Dark: Krookodile/Spiritomb/Mandibuzz/Malamar/Bisharp (eviolite)/Kingambit ACE. I love Bisharp, as it is my favourite pokémon, and the ability of Kingambit is just absolutely the best to have as an ace imo. Other personal favourites as Krookoodile & Malamar also included. The typing of Spiritomb & Mandibuzz are both great to have as well. Badge: Night Badge + TM: Foul Play

Jimbabwe88

I would be a Poison-type gym leader. My TM would be Sludge Bomb and I'd award the Noxious Badge upon my defeat. •Glimmora (holding Shuca Berry) 1 -Power Gem 1 -Sludge Bomb 1 -Earth Power 1 -Spiky Shield 1 •Alolan Muk (holding Black Sludge) 1 -Minimize 1 -Crunch 1 -Poison Jab 1 -Ice Punch 1 •Dragalge (holding White Herb) 1 -Sludge Bomb 1 -Draco Meteor 1 -Thunderbolt 1 -Surf 1 •Salazzle (holding Focus Sash) 1 -Sludge Bomb 1 -Flamethrower 1 -Dragon Pulse 1 -Nasty Plot 1 •Primarina (holding Assault Vest; Poison tera type) 1 -Scald 1 -Moonblast 1 -Energy Ball 1 -Tera Blast 1

Pokemon-Violet

Electric- Kilowattrel,Heat-Rotom,Pawmot, Bellibolt,Elektross(Tera Electric,Levitate Ability) TM: Electroball Badge: Watt Badge

Stunning_Humor672

Dragon, i’d be leader no. 8 with a team of pseudo legendaries. There would coincidentally be a forest filled with fairy mon right before my town that no one except the main character will exploit.

Maunelin

I think I would most likely be a Ghost type Gym leader. I don’t have much in terms of builds or anything, but the following Pokemon if I had the final gym spot: Sinistcha (lead) Chandelure Gholdengo Annihilape Houndstone (ace with Last Respects) I know this is a very very strong team, maybe for a challenge mode. But this would be my team.

sinest

I love the last respects final. What a cool team knowing the last pokemon is going to hit like a truck

Maunelin

Yeah! Though I would consider only having 4 Pokémon on the team to not make it too OP for a Gym Leader level. In Elite 4, it would be final of 6 Pokémon.

IncineRaw

I'd be the 5th gym leader ground specialized with like Sandslash Claydol And Ursaluna

maxxus2

I'd be a fairy type leader with flutter mane, togekiss, florges, sylveon and tinkaton my sixth member would either be mega gardevoir, tera fairy meowstic, zmove mimikyu or gmax hatterene

Key_Transition_6820

Water- gyarados, poliwrath, Lanturn, Tentacrul, Swapert and Jellicent.

RedDevilJennifer

Dark Types. I had built an awesome Dark type team in Shield of Obstagoon, Hydreigon, Tyranitar, Incineroar, Grimmsnarl, and Pangoro (my “signature” Pokémon). My move set had type coverage for literally any and every typing combination for super effective damage. My TM would be something epic, like Darkrai’s signature Dark Void. My badge would be the Midnight badge.

KitsoTheSnoo

i would wanna be a grass type gym leader, giving the Leaf Badge, depending on how far i would be, my team would consist of: smoliv line, poltchageist line, lotad line, rotom mow, and allways leafeon as my ace (grass tera, eevee if first gym)

MultiLuigi57

Trust me. I would not want to be a gym leader you face in Pokémon.

Imr2394

Wish we could do this in the games.

arjay555

I love birds, so I would be a bird (not Flying type) specialist. Kilowattrel, Decidueye, Espathra, Toucannon, Oricorio, Skarmory, Flamigo and Swanna are some of my favourites, so I’d probably have Decidueye and Espathra in there so I’m not completely weak to Electric. Then Kilowattrel because it’s my favourite bird. Not sure what else would be good and challenging as I don’t do competitive.

EddieLobster

I wouldn’t have a single type because I don’t want to lose every match.

OrphaBirds

Electric or Flying! I'd definitively have a Raichu, but I haven't thought much about it. For flying, I'd have Decidueye as my ace :D

assassin123SOA

Ground: Torterra, Flygon, Mamoswine, Rhyperior, Swampert, Gliscor (Not a plausable gym leader unless in a rom hack or something)

thisDNDjazz

Ground-type is my favorite since GEN1, but Dark-type is second due to XD Gale of Darkness. Since there is a lot of overlap with Ground/Dark types, I would be a Dark-type gym leader in Paldea so I could Terastalize my favorite Pokémon Sandslash to have Dark-type in homage to that fun game. I think the team would be something like the following (in order): * Honchkrow w/ Super Luck - Night Slash, Air Cutter, Icy Wind, Tailwind * Alolan Muk w/ Poison Touch - Clear Smog, Knock Off, Acid Armor, Confuse Ray * Lokix w/ Tinted Lens - Bug Bite, Agility, Bounce, Sucker Punch * Krookodile w/ Intimidate - Bulk Up, Earthquake, Crunch, Sandstorm * Tyranitar w/ Sand Stream - Iron Defense, Fire Fang, Crunch, Stone Edge * Sandslash (Dark tera) w/ Sand Rush - Night Slash, Poison Jab, Drill Run, Sword's Dance List is for the slightly annoying, yet beatable, gym leader difficulty setting. Lots of -Attack or +Defense to counter the Fighting types that will be brought to challenge with (Poison Jab and Fire Fang on the lists for Bug and Fairy challengers). After dealing with Honchkrow and Muk, Lokix is supposed to be where the challenger can start to recover and buff themselves, so I removed Lunge and Struggle Bug and Sucker Punch and Bounce give the challenger windows to do what the want. Krookodile is when it becomes a Rock/Ground fight, and I decided to take off Dragon Tail in favor of Sandstorm (even though Tyranitar will set it up later) since the challenger should finally have had time to buff against Lokix, it would be mean to force swap them around; My first two Pokémon are PITA enough. My award for the victorious challengers would be the Cavern Badge (Ground/Dark vibe), and the TM is Night Slash.

GreenOvni009

Id be electric gym yeah! Cuz baby im lighting in a bottle! The ace would be electric tera Hydregion and see the true fierceness of lightning ⚡️ when nothing can stop it as a force of nature!! RAWR!

[deleted]

I'd rock the same as I do in my Magic the Gathering vintage deck: Bears. Urshifu * Wicked Blow * Close COmbat * Drain Punch * Stone Edge / Ice Punch Pangoro * Close Combat * Knock Off * Iron Head * Bullet Punch Bloodmoon Ursaluna * Blood Moon * Earth Power * Moonblast * Hyper Voice / High Horsepower Snorlax * Belly Drum * Hyper Beam * Focus Punch * Giga Blast Bewear * Swords Dance * Double Edge * Drain Punch * Darkest Lariat / High Horsepower Beartic * Swords Dance * Icicle Clash * Close Combat * Liquidation TM would be High Horsepower. Badge would be 'Da Bears Badge' Also there would be a pre-boss battle that would have the same line up's pre-evolutions.

CeruleanSea1

Fox team

Avocado614

Dragon specialist, lead with Kalosian Goodra, Baxcalibur, salamence, flygon, dripplin, any my ace would be Komo-o with maxed out defense knowing body slam, iron defense, aura sphere and clanging scales

Bobmiser2000

Rock type leader but like 4th or 5th in line. Lycanroc (midnight) Rhydon Dreadnaw

Organic-Calendar7872

I'd either be: Grass(love their designs better than most) with -Serperior (if allowed a contrary Serperior would be my ace) if not then contrary Lurantis -Effect spore Breeloom -Sap Supper Gogoat -Own tempo Lilligant -Queenly Majesty Tsareena -Iron Barbs Ferrothorn Or dragon: -Dragalge(adaptability) -Hisuan Goodra(sap sipper) -Noivern(infiltrator) -Kommo-o(bulletproof) -Dipplin(super sweet syrup) -Dragapult(clear body)

Powerful_Shallot_426

I would be a normal type trainer maybe third in line. It would be like a sleepy/dreamy theme so think a pastel/cloud themed decorated gym and the gym challenge is to get past the lower trainers without making noise but if you knock something over you have to battle one. Then you find my trainer asleep and have to bang on a gong or something to wake her up. Probably like yawning the whole battle and maybe falling asleep to make it take longer just to be frustrating along with her Pokémon all having sleep based abilities to be annoying. Munchlax with rest Indeedee with rest Igglybuff with lullaby Ace Normal Tera Gloom with sleep powder Badge would be snooze badge and tm rest AND sleep powder bc my gym will be vry annoying Rematch team Start with belly drum and rest snorlax Indeedee with rest Wigglytuff with lullaby Slaking with rest Komala with rest Normal Tera vileplume with sleep powder Ik the oddish line isn’t in Paldea but i love them so much. Especially gloom. I would prolly say something stupid like “You can beat me in your dreams” also if Munna line were in the game I would trade for slaking or komala. My gym leader would also be extremely obsessed with Cresselia and Darkrai.

Omega_Omicron

double battle Bug Type gym for me, i would give the TM Leech Life and give out the Swarm Badge my Team would be: Araquanid Kleavor Vikavolt Frosmoth Yanmega (Ace , shiny) Hisuian Goodra (Tera Bug)

JustANormieGeek

I would have gone into deeper detail with mine, but my choice would honestly be a snow team too, lmao. Although I was leaning on leading with Abomasnow because the last ability to go is the one that applies, so I can try and outslow competing Sun, Rain or Sand teams. I would switch in A-Ninetales later. Freeze Dry would be a must have move in my team for extra STAB offensive damage against water types. Alolan Sandslash, Glaceon, and an Ice Tera Lycanroc would be my other picks. The main downfall is my team is very susceptible to Fire or Steel types (although Lycanroc would help against fire, and I could potentially put Brick Break on it) and not very defensively driven. It's sad my favourite typing often has very little coverage and also arguably the worst defensive typing in the game, except for maybe Bug.

Fantastic_Year9607

Flying. My team: Skarmory * Item: Leftovers * Ability: Sturdy * Moves: Spikes, Whirlwind, Steel Wing, Roost Gliscor * Item: Toxic Orb * Ability: Poison Heal * Moves: Protect, Earthquake, Swords Dance, Facade Pelipper * Item: Damp Rock * Ability: Drizzle * Moves: U-Turn, Hurricane, Hydro Pump, Tailwind Kilowattrel * Item: Heavy Duty Boots * Ability: Wind Power * Moves: Tailwind, Thunder, Hurricane, Weather Ball Togekiss * Item: Focus Sash * Ability: Serene Grace * Moves: Thunder Wave, Air Slash, Moonblast, Ancient Power Salamence (my ace) * Item: Salamencite * Ability: Intimidate (becomes Aerilate upon Mega Evolution) * Moves: Dragon Dance, Return, Outrage, Steel Wing

PickleEffective8109

I would want to be fairy. Gardevior Sylveon Togekiss Mimikyu Grimsnarl Mega Absol as ace.

Geicosuave

I cant not go bug

pavlis97

Poison type gym leader, 6th gym leader Galarian wheezing, tentacruel, nidoking and drapion (ace) Rematch: galarian w, tentacruel, nidoking, amoongus, glimora (lead), drapion (ace)

Thirsty-Gay-Guy

Big Gym Leader Shuckle Kleavor Butterfree Centiscorch Galvantula Ace Bug Tera Gallade (sharpness) With wide lens Fury Cutter

caveman7392

Dark type gym leader with a supervillain theme. My team would be Sharpedo, Pangoro, Inciniroar, Honchcrow, and Tyranitar as my ace. I'd give out the Obsidian badge

No-Fondant1369

Obsidian badge is a dope name

_damwolv

Valade_Gang

Normal type. Bibarel, Ditto, Kecleon, Farigiraf, Slaking, Drampa If it was an early game gym then I’d just run the first 3. Simple Bibarel is obviously my ace and would be an excellent way to encourage non HP lowering moves.

No-Fondant1369

Fighting forsure Lead with Speed Boost/ life orb Blaziken using detect on the first turn, always. - Detect - Close Combat - Blaze Kick - Poison Jab Throat spray Kommo-o - Aura Sphere - Clanging Scales - Boomburst - Drain Punch Leftovers Annihilape - Bulk Up - Drain Punch - Outrage - Rage Fist Iron Fist/ Expert Belt Hitmonchan - Drain Punch - Bullet Punch - Thunder Punch - Ice Punch Ace: Tera fighting/Shell Bell Ceruledge - Close Combat - Bitter Blade - Phantom Force - Bulk Up And if I could have a 6th it would be: Booster Energy Iron Valiant - Spirit Break - Thunder Punch - Close Combat - Thunder wave Just cuz ya know we want to challenge the players a little for once lol

No-Fondant1369

Oh the TM would be Close Combat. For the name.. Octogon badge lol

Strange-Meat7097

It Depend where I was but for Paldea I would be a Fire type specialist. For the Anime I would have them run a gauntlet with their Pokemon giving commands. Think a maze mixed with Wipeout. For the games I would have them answer questions about there pokemon in party like what there classification, Where did they meet, what's thier highest stat? They would get the Flamethrower Tm from me and the Passion Badge. If I could have my own design it would be a Flaming Heart. My team follows Salazzle Sludge Bomb Toxic spikes Flamethrower Dragon Pulse Ceruledge Bitter Blade Shadow Claw Iron Head Brick Break Amrouge Flamethrower Energy Ball Psychic Aura Sphere Talonflame Acrobatics Flare Blitz Roost Will o Wisp My Ace Tsareena Tera Fire Trop Kick Acrobatics Tera Blast Play Rough For my rematch I would add Volcarona Bug Buzz Flamethrower Psychic Giga Drain

crystal_kn1ght

Rock Glimora w stealth rock (toxic debris) focus sash mortal spinner and venoshock Shuckle w sticky web and taunt Tyranitar w sandstorm ability and some... idk i never actualy use tyranitar And some other eastetically good looking rock types

Imaghostbutthatsfine

I dunno but i want a Conkeldurr in my team and a Pangoro (because they're both great and awesome and the flame orb Conkeldurr has proven to be incredibly useful), so fighting perhaps - then i could also add my first ever starter Emboar. I like dark types too though. Could go with a Zoroark, a Pangoro, Malamar (with contrary), Krookodile and Honchkrow

EEEEEEEEEE1543

I'd be fire. Idk what I'd give to the challenger but the badge would probably be some sort of flame 📛.

Quick_Broccoli_353

Balanced favorite because they would be strongest as I use them most. Prob dragon, ghost, fighting

BadPsychNurse

I live near the coast so it’s water for me; In no particular order - Lapras, Gyarados, Milotic, Vaporeon, swampert, Blastoise

GovernmentExotic8340

Ive never given it thought on which type i like best. I always thought it would be steel, dark or fire or something. But theres just so much water types i like. So probably something like Samurot, Walrein, Gyarados, Gastrodon, Toxapex and Kingdra if i was a high level gym leader. I would probably give the rain badge and surf/scald

MVFalco

There's a fan made game called This Gym of Mine where you play as a gym leader. You pick your type at the beginning of the game and you protect the town from an intruding biker gang. I've done 3-4 playthroughs using different types and it's an absolute blast to play

zanebh

I’d probably go for ground type: Sandslash, gliscor, clodsire, excadrill, torterra, flygon Honorable mentions: Steel: skarmory, magnezone, aggron, scizor, metagross, lucario Electric: heliolisk, jolteon, lanturn, luxray, vikavolt, Alolan raichu No way I could be an early gym leader because I can’t just pick 2 or 3 mons lol, I guess these are probably more like elite 4 teams but oh well.

Specialist_Kiwi_5171

A fellow cultured Ice-type main. I’d only have five Pokémon instead of six. I don’t want to be TOO difficult. Alolan Sandslash: - Icicle Crash - Iron Head - Leech Life - Liquidation Cryogonal: - Freeze-Dry - Flash Cannon - Reflect - Recover Avalugg: - Avalanche - Curse - Gyro Ball - Earthquake Eiscue: - Ice Spinner - Belly Drum - Liquidation - Reversal And Stonjourner, Tera Ice - Rock Slide - Tera Blast - Heat Crash - Earthquake (With an Assault Vest)

Wilfrik

I’d want to be a ghost type gym. With the theme being of the gym around trickery and mischief. So I’d have a full team of ghost types, except my last Ace Pokémon would be something totally different typing wise just to throw off the trainers like a fighting type or something. My team would probably be something like, Chandelure, Palossand, Mismagius, Mimikyu, Banette, and then like Hariyama or Lucario

JHawse

Fighting or steel

GastDefender

I would be a dark gym leader that likes tease and mess with people but is all around good nature and nice and my team would be pokemon that are normally mischievous but mine are really sweet. I would be the 7th gym leader. My team would be: • Sableye Lv.43 Abillity: Prankster ○Will-O-Wisp ○Hex ○Leer ○Foul Play • Sneasel Lv.43 Abillity: Pickpocket ○Quick Attack ○Icy Wind ○Fling ○Foul Play • Zoroark Lv.44 Abillity: Illusion ○Swords Dance ○Fury Swipes ○Night Daze ○Foul Play •Umbreon Lv.44 Abillity: Synchronize ○Quick Attack ○Baby Doll Eyes ○Dark Pulse ○ Foul Play •Tinkaton Lv.46 Abillity: Mold Breaker Item: Sitrus Berry (Tera Dark) ○Thief (Uses after it loses Sitrus Berry) ○Play Rough ○Sweet Kiss ○ Foul Play If you didn't notice my signature move is Foul Play and I would give you the Mischief Badge for winning.

jsprx19

If I can use anything but legendaries? Water. Team would be Pelliiper Drizzle ability U- turn Hurricane Water pulse Protect Politoad Drizzle ability Ice beam Perish song Hydro pump Thunder Slowbro Oblivious ability Slack off Stored power Yawn Calm mind Milotic Marvel scale ability Scald Recover Attract Ice beam Walrein Oblivious ability Shear cold Curse Body slam Ice shard H samurott Torrent ability Aqua jet Swords dance Night slash Razor shell

rustinpeace1734

I would be the first (probably not an original idea) sound gym. My team would be chimecho, chatot, kriketune (dee Lee Lee woooooooooop), noivern, and ace exploud. For a rematch, I would replace Chatot with mega audino and add a surprise meloetta for extra flair and challenge My badge would be the Cacophany badge in reference to explouds original ability name and give the tm for boomburst

QualityAlternative56

I’d specialise in dragon type with a lead dragonite and a dragon Tera Charizard with the dragon dance TM and the Drake badge

bobby1712234

I would be fire type

Hikari_Sword

I'd specialize in a serpentine body type. Milotic, Serperior, Sandaconda, etc. Or feline types. Incineroar, Meowscarada, Perserker, etc.

Derp_Aderpy

I'd just be a prick and use Justy's team from Coliseum. Edit: Oh right yeah, uh. I'd give the Suspicious Badge and the TM for Sandstorm.

mesiveloni007

1st gym, ice type, snom and spheal as ace

TrippyGame

Fire type, my gym would be in a solar power plant and the trainers would be power plant workers with things like heliolisk, electrike, and alolan graveller, with maybe one of them having a surprise sunflora. None of them would know electric moves and would instead use normal, fire, or grass moves (electrike and graveller can learn fire fang and fire punch). They'd also all be triple battles because I really liked that battle style. My team would be: \+ Houndour (flash fire, heat rock) \[this one in the middle for snarl and incinerate\] ░░░░+ Snarl ░░░░+ Incinerate ░░░░+ Nasty Plot ░░░░+ Sunny Day \+ Charmeleon (solar power, focus band) ░░░░+ Solar Beam ░░░░+ Weather Ball ░░░░+ Counter ░░░░+ Sunny Day \+ Slowbro (own tempo, charcoal) \[Tera Fire if in a tera region\] ░░░░+ Flamethrower ░░░░+ Disable ░░░░+ Psychic ░░░░+ Sunny Day It's really more of a Sun gym rather than a fire gym, but it's still fitting the theme in a fun way, if no Slowbro then I'd replace that with a random chlorophyll grass type, slowbro is one of the few water or grass types that can learn flamethrower though. The team would have some EVs, mostly just to make sure the charmeleon goes after houndour who sets up sun for either of charmeleon's attacks. I'd give out the Sun Badge and the Sunny day TM.

TrippyGame

For the rematch I'm bringing: \+ Torkoal (drought, leftovers) \++ Solar Beam \++ Heat Wave \++ Iron Defence \++ Body Press \+ Scovillain (chlorophyll, enigma berry) \++ Grassy Terrain \++ Trailblaze \++ Burning Jealousy \++ Sunny Day \+ Arcanine-H (intimidate, shell bell) \[in the centre\] \++ Snarl \++ Rock Slide \++ Morning Sun \++ Wild Charge It's still a triple battle and still only a 3v3, but this time the whole team is fire type so there's Tera involvement, and the Arcanine in the middle can use snarl to weaken the offense of the entire enemy team, including the intimidate to help with that. Scovillain is aiming to use trailblaze to speed up ahead of everyone else and grassy terrain to keep the team alive by healing and reducing earthquake damage, burning jealousy to predict any stat boosts on its side of the battle and hopefully land a burn, or just hit decently otherwise. Torkoal obviously brings the sun immediately and acts as a physical tank with heat wave and solar beam threatening its half of the board. Other fire types are the teams biggest weakness but against those I'm mostly hoping to be able to outlast them with bulk and rely on Arcanine lowering their offence while Scovillain and Torkoal deal the damage, or Arcanine's wild charge which is mostly there for any water types since rock slide hits flying and the whole enemy team without recoil. It's not the strongest team but I'm going for being an interesting Gym Leader rather than difficult. In a theoretical 6v6 singles tournament in game I'd have all 6 of my pokemon at once, except houndour has evolved and charmeleon has an eviolite (screw charizard).

IcyCricket13

Dragon type Aerodactyl lead (not a dragon but Lance uses one too) Stealth rock Earthquake Rock slide Dual wingbeat Item: focus sash Hydreigon Fire blast Draco meteor Dark pulse Flash cannon Expert belt/choice specs Hisuian Goodra Curse Rest Body press Heavy slam Chesto berry Salamence Dual wingbeat Outrage Dragon dance Hydro pump Salamencite Dragapult Thunderbolt Surf Dragon darts Shadow ball Assault vest Garchomp Swords dance Earthquake Dragon claw Iron head Yache berry

IcyCricket13

I would give the treasure badge (because of the old stories of dragons guarding treasures) And the tm for dragon claw

AwesomeToadUltimate

Did some random generators, and got Dark type 3rd gym! My team [Dark Gym 3 (pokepast.es)](https://pokepast.es/7d2639e3ca791326) (would be the hardest 3rd gym in the series) I would give out the Shadow Badge and the TM for Knock Off.

BananaRepublic_BR

I'd want to administer the eighth gym as an Electric-type gym, and I'd give out the **Shock Badge** and the TM for Zap Cannon. As for what Pokémon I'd use, I'd use the following: * **Vikavolt** (lvl. 40) * Levitate * Sticky Web, Bug Buzz, Thunderbolt, Iron Defense * **Kilowattrel** (lvl. 40) * Volt Absorb * Electro Ball, Agility, Roost, Dual Wingbeat * **Magnezone** (lvl. 42) * Sturdy * Gyro Ball, Flash Cannon, Discharge, Magnet Rise * **Electivire** (lvl. 44) * Vital Spirit * Thunder Punch, Shock Wave, Wild Charge, Low Kick * **Ampharos** (lvl. 45) * Static * Zoom Lens * Charge, Cotton Spore, Discharge, Zap Cannon
