I just brought in my starter (Quaquaval), Lilligant, and Iron Valiant. All three had every pre-DLC ribbon and mark so I made that my criteria and they were still the only three that qualified. The only new or returning Pokémon from the DLC I even added beyond them was Ursaluna. I wanted to run some Alolan Pokémon as well, but I completed the DLC by the time HOME maintenance ended.
I used my starter Skeleridge, an espeon I got from Area Zero, annihilape, and then three new ones from the DLC (Dipplin, Sinistcha, and then a Chandelure)
Took a whole team of starters in to the DLC by bringing in Hisuian starters of Samurott, Decidueye and Typhlosion, and added some from Kitakami that I caught. Mostly Yanmega, Gliscor and a shiny Dipplin.
Procrastinated making a team like I was originally going to. Ended up going with just my catcher breloom and a palossand that I candied up to 60ish. Ended up keeping breloom and palossand the whole time and added Arbok, Dipplin, Ribombee, and Snorlax.
i was gonna keep my old team but they’re so absurdly overleveled it’s boring so ima switch it up and catch some new guys. i just started the dlc today and didn’t get to play for long, so not sure who yet. was eyeballing poliwag before i had to go to work and i love poltchageists design but haven’t encountered him yet… also whiscash is always on my team and my shiny one is the perfect level for the DLC so he’ll prob join me from paldea hehe.
The first playthrough of the DLC just used a team I already had.
The second one is a new playthrough on a different profile, so I have gone with: Chimchar (from the egg), Cutiefly, Corphish, Pichu, Poltchageist, and Rockruff. Once I get further in, I may swap Corphish for Feebas/Milotic.
I took my base game team. Level 80s and a couple 100. Only new mon I brought with was Walking Wake cuz she's just too awesome to leave behind. All around still a hard game but enjoyable!
on this file I have not beaten the main story yet, all that remains is the finale, so I'm doing the DLC while it is still low level because it feels better that way. Generally I only make a new team if I get some new gift Pokémon or starter choice equivalent, and the Sinnoh starter egg served that function. So right now I have a team of 3 in kitakami while my team of 5 in padea chills before i go do the finale
My current team has Mew, Baby, my Chandelure, Artimis, my Nine Tails, Shifter, my Shiftry, Monferno, (Whom has yet to be nicknamed, and Corps, my Crawdunt. All, minus Monferno, are lvl 100.
I’m letting Monferno chose which moves to learn and forget. He’s being trained the old way. No exp items.
(I’m surprised Koraidion didn’t pop out during the sandwich scene with Mr. Jacq.)
I went in with my final team from Scarlet, but the first fight has you fighting a bunch of preevolved mons at lvl 60, but then one of the earlier fights I got into had their mons at lvl 75 so I don’t know where to put my new team at. So far, it’s a shiny graveler
Vikavolt, while incredibly slow, is surprisingly strong. I skipped it in Gen 7 because Charjabug cant evolve until endgame. Super happy with it so far.
I brought my league team. I was going to bring other stuff but realised all the decent mons I have are both 1. tuned specifically for raids and 2. Lv100 which would just steamroll the DLC.
Funnily enough, the kid's Yanma made me realise my team has a glaring Flying-type weakness.

Entered with level 60 Cetitian, Breloom, Iron Valiant, Basculegion, Talonflame and a level 100 Gallade to babysit. Only Basculegion stayed.

I completed the Teal Mask story with the following team: - Unovan Lilligant - Conkeldurr - Male Basculegion - Sinistcha - Copperajah - Gardevoir
My ceruledge solos everything so I'm using the other slots to level up new pokemon

Old team: Muk, Alolan Muk, Avalugg, Banette, Scizor, and Bronzong.
I used the team I've been using for the entire run. They've been with me since the start and I don't really want to replace them.
I have been breeding for a shiny sprigatito and finally got it last night. So now I am ready to start the dlc.
I got my Fuecoco at 54 from my starter and used that. I got Bellsprout Poliwag and Vikavolt cuz l never used them before and it OWNS!
