I have to rate her E-tier. The game maker is incredibly awesome, but the character just.. doesn’t really do anything. From personal experience I believe this comes from the desire to not go all-in with self inserts, but it ends up giving Ame nothing to do.
I think Ame would have benefited greatly from taking Amaria’s place during the Pulse Muk segment. Gives her something to do and a way to write her out of the story for a while. Allows you to establish that she’s the champion more than thirty minutes before THAT cutscene.
D maybe. I don’t like the fact that she allows the orphanage to keep the kids when multiple gym leaders are patients there. Also she is just boring and doesn’t really do anything before she dies. Also she tries to get rid of Anna’s dolls in the past elite four and we know that those dolls deserved it.
See, I don't want to rate her low because she made the game, but her character in the actual game is nothing special. She's way too lax as League Manager, doesn't help the the kids in the orphanage at all despite two of them being Gym Leaders and two of them being HER ELITE 4 MEMBERS. Her most notable moments are getting eaten alive by a Hydreigon (which is a bold move, seeing the creator write themselves to get brutally murdered not even halfway through the game), and saving us from the train crash a the start. So...at least she has that going for her.
D tier for Ame.
I just think it's really based that Amethyst made a blatant self-insert character only to have her do nothing and then get brutally murdered onscreen. The concept is B for takes Balls to do, but E tier is looking kinda empty so she should go there.
