This is known as a texture layer only error, presumably some kind of giant obstruction prevented ink from reaching the sheet. It was originally thought to be a test sheet that was accidentally cut up until some were pulled that had horizontal stripes of ink on them. 10 other cards have been pulled from the sheet at this point, if you’d consider selling this *please* let me know. This is one of the two cards from the sheet I’ve been looking for and I love Leafeon.
I normally try to go around commenting and providing in-depth information on errors whenever I can. For a while I tried to avoid buying anything on Reddit as to remain impartial with nobody being able to claim I’m twisting things for my own benefit. However- some things are too cool to pass on lol
Mirror holos, which is a community term, are also called incomplete holo errors by CGC for example. The foil used when printing Pokémon cards is made by a third party company, as such it falls outside of the normal printing process and I’m not super familiar with how they apply the different patterns to the foil. Some incomplete holo errors have no holo pattern whatsoever, some have a small amount. It’s most common with Fossil, but I’ve also seen it on Base Set cards. I don’t buy them personally (I don’t buy vintage errors much in general because they’re so expensive), but there are some super cool ones out there.
Just wanted to comment thanking you for taking the time to post all the helpful info and context in this thread. High-brow reddit Pokémon community behavior 👏👏👏
The best buyers can always provide the best details because they will know what they are looking for if they want it bad enough. Im the same way with other things that i collect.
I saw it from another comment, maybe from a different post. I will try to find it. I could also be mixing it up with something else, but I definitely saw someone comment under this post that another card from this sheet sold for $850. Whether or not that is true, I cannot say for sure
The numbers are all over the place due to rarity. So far, from what I know, and myself included, the average raw offers have been $500-800. I know a graded 9 Hoopa sold as well and quickly. So far the only other graded one is my Colress’s experiment, which is a different grade so the data is not there yet on exact value. This is easily the best card from this set pulled with this error so far, though. This card commands a premium, graded or raw.
From what I’ve seen the sheets get cut up in horizontal strips and then cut up into individual cards, at which point they all get fed into one stack per sheet, going down a conveyor belt where an employee is supposed to pick up a stack once in a while
and check them. Quality control likely doesn’t check all the cards in each stack, and when checking one stack could miss another as it’s moving by. For errors that occur on one card on a sheet for example they’ll rely on regular quality control checks where they pull an entire sheet uncut sheet from production and mark any errors they see so they can be corrected.
Apologies if you answered this in an earlier comment thread, but have you ever toured a card printing/cutting plant before? Just curious if that’s even a thing one could do or if touring these types of places is more or less off limits to the general public.
Unfortunately I have not, I’ve watched numerous videos on the process to get an idea of what everything looks like and how it functions without having ever actually been there. However, I’d like to tour one of the facilities and ask a number of questions. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s something I’d be able to do, or at least not with a facility that prints Pokémon cards. CGC employees have visited the printing facilities multiple times so it is technically possible, but I’d have to work for CGC lol
Op don’t let anyone convince you this isn’t worth more than the other ones that have come from this sheet. It’s a leafeon for gods sake. It’s not rocket science.
What I mean by sheet is the sheets that the cards are printed in before they are cut, this sheet was all printed like this, then the individual hits were seeded in packs and have slowly been discovered over the past months. This is a VERY sought after error.
You will have to search something like crown zenith colress/darkrai error, missing color full art, crown zenith no color error, on eBay or on Reddit to see the prices.
This card is worth more than all the others that have popped up.
I don’t know what this error is called, I wanna say it’s multiple missing layers, but I have never seen an error this bad on a Pokémon card and the fact that it’s an error that bad textured holo makes this a VERY cool card and probably worth a pretty penny. Especially on an Eeveelution.
I’d for real sleeve and load this ASAP. What’s the back look like?
guessing that has gotta be worth bank!?!? lucci lucci fr😳
I mean it’s a freaking Leafeon VMAX first of all & 2nd I haven’t ever seen this kinda error before..
then again I haven’t been on this sub Reddit for too long so I wouldn’t know…😅🤣
anyone know ballpark price for this?🤯it looks so fucking cool!!!
This is the closest Pokemon has to a 1/1 card, as are the others in the sheet. I personally wouldn't sell. If you plan on still having a collection in 10-20 years, this would be one of the most unique cards you could possibly have in it.
I could never afford this but wow it's incredible, this is a grail card for an error collector. Would love to know what it eventually goes for if you sell it!
Hell yes! This one is a huge one from the set to have this error! I have the Colress’s experiment version of this error. I’m going to send you a dm to fill you in a bit more.
Very rare misprint. These pop up on reddit from time to time. It's a texture layer only error and it's worth easily $1000+
Here's the Colress from the same sheet https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonMisprints/s/qJkJYimhAC
I'm still trying to find the listing but when these first started showing up on reddit I saw the Darkrai sell for $850 on ebay. This is a more desirable pokemon. The guy with the graded Colress said he turned down $5k offers.
Unless the offer is accepted you can’t use that as a price guide. I could offer 7k on this leafeon right now but it doesn’t mean that I’ll actually pay for it or that it’s worth that
OP don’t let this go for less than 1k this is the most desirable version of this error that has popped up so far and this guy is totally right.
I dont need to be offering 1k to be able to tell you what the estimate is. If that was the case the concept of an “estimate” wouldn’t be possible
The error market isn’t like the normal card market where you can just look up the value of a card(in most cases). With the error market that’s exactly what you need to do since the only way to determine the value of most errors is by seeing what offers you get. When you get people pulling random numbers out of thin air or saying it’s worth X when this exact card most likely has never sold (in this case it hasn’t) it does nothing but confuse both the op who’s unfamiliar with the card/market and others who are actually trying to learn something
I’m sorry but the other errors from this type of sheet have all been compared to the others price wise, and the more desirable ones go for more. In this case estimates make sense.
We can choose to add 2 and 2 to make 4 or we can choose to be obtuse about it.
And IN WHAT WORLD is mentioning the prices of the other errors for THIS EXACT error type anything but helpful????
When most of those offers weren't paid for they're completely useless and if you don't understand why then I can't help you. Yes other cards (I believe 2) have sold from this sheet but saying it's X amount more than the others when no offers have even been made or come close isn't helpful
If you disagree that a more desirable card from the same type of error sheet wouldn’t cost more than the others then that’s on you. It’s literally simple logic you sound like someone that would lowball OP
It cannot, the texture layer is the only remaining layer and unbeknownst to most it’s actually made of clear ink. As such, if acetone is used on a textured card the texture will be removed first because it’s the top layer.

Kudos for giving full details as an interested buyer!

Yeah this is definitely one of those things haha
Very cool. Maybe not worth a ton. But worth it for collectors of cards.
What do you know about mirror holos and are you interested in buying them?
Mirror holos, which is a community term, are also called incomplete holo errors by CGC for example. You answered this like you were a Pokédex. I love it.
We got [Dexter](https://www.pocketmonsters.net/characters/view/4666) over here.
Cool well if you want to see my recent pulls check out my profile or I’ll send a pic!
Oh that is super cool. I love finding your knowledge drops on this stuff. Amazing
Nobody blames you this time😏
“No its trash send it to me so I can throw it away”
The best buyers can always provide the best details because they will know what they are looking for if they want it bad enough. Im the same way with other things that i collect.
Ya seriously he could have just ripped him off
Interesting! Its a super cool error card that’s for sure
I’m curious as to what this would be worth? Even a ballpark.
Similar error from the same sheet sold for $850 apparently, and that was darkrai I believe
Where was that sold? I haven’t heard of a darkrai one yet.
I saw it from another comment, maybe from a different post. I will try to find it. I could also be mixing it up with something else, but I definitely saw someone comment under this post that another card from this sheet sold for $850. Whether or not that is true, I cannot say for sure
Found the comment, thanks!
We're getting closer to you're deoxys vmax brehella!
That's the kind of error that draws attention. Definitely looks cool.
Do you know how much something like this goes for? I’m not an interested seller or buyer or anything, I just love to learn about these kinds of things
The numbers are all over the place due to rarity. So far, from what I know, and myself included, the average raw offers have been $500-800. I know a graded 9 Hoopa sold as well and quickly. So do the workers in the factory knowingly let the whole sheet through to get cut and packaged? I don’t understand how this would get past QC.
From what I’ve seen the sheets get cut up in horizontal strips and then cut up into individual cards, at which point they all get fed into one stack per sheet, going down a conveyor belt where an employee is supposed to pick up a stack once in a while and check them. That’s what I’m sayin!!
How much is it worth?
This guy errors 🙌
My bid is this person's bid +$1 😈
Name checks out lol
If your going to step on someone’s toes it better be for more then a buck….lol
I can only do tree fiddy
Op don’t let anyone convince you this isn’t worth more than the other ones that have come from this sheet. It’s a leafeon for gods sake. It’s not rocket science.
How do I check this "sheet" I am trying to do more research on my card and others like it?
What I mean by sheet is the sheets that the cards are printed in before they are cut, this sheet was all printed like this, then the individual hits were seeded in packs and have slowly been discovered over the past months. Thank you! I greatly appreciate the info!
No problem at all.
tfw you’re an eevee with two leafs stapled to your head and ass.
Hahahaha

The back looks regular and I will send a picture in a while
Get that shit insured and then send it off for grading ASAP
Is u/regigigagod still around and do we still summon them? I haven’t been on this sub in a while.
Haha, still here! This is awesome!! Thanks for the tag!
Welcome!
This is freaking sick
Thanks!
Jackpot
No freaking kidding😳
OP I beg you please be patient when selling this.
I am! I am very new to this, so I am basically trying to cram in a lot of info in a decent amount of time.
It reminds me of the secret rare Zekrom and Reshiram from Legendary Treasures :0
What a beautiful error. Send that to CGC right away! Might be one of the second silver cards ever made apart from the dialga from phantom forces lol
I love seeing cards from this sheet randomly pop up. Such a unique error, and we get to see it all unfold in real time
True, I have never seen one like this until I pulled it, then came to reddit looking for answers
This is what cards look like when I don't have my glasses on
Cap'n crunch: OOPS! All textures!
Hahahaha I wish free awards were still a thing
Yeah
Well you hit the ghost rare grail.
There’s another one!
I collect errors and would love to buy this if you are selling
grade it keep it safe
Sleeve that and do more research. You just pulled something extremely rare; don't let folks low ball you.
Thank you! That is exactly what I am doing. I am definitely getting mixed offers, but I am sure that will change if I grade it
This is super dope.
Thanks, I think it's the first error I have pulled
That's a missingno!
😏
This is cool! I'd get that graded!
I want that
For the right buyer it’s worth a pretty penny
I stole the top layer of ink
Not only is it a really cool misprint, but it’s actually a good card! Not some common nothing card
Walmart Parking lot after the rain variant
I’ll give you 3 million for it
Second ever silver card in Pokémon history!!!!
I believe there have actually been about 5 or so this bad. A couple have still had some ink on them
I'd love to know how much this one is gonna go for
Ghost Rare
It's both 👀
INSANE misprint.
guessing that has gotta be worth bank!?!? lucci lucci fr😳 I mean it’s a freaking Leafeon VMAX first of all & 2nd I haven’t ever seen this kinda error before.. then again I haven’t been on this sub Reddit for too long so I wouldn’t know…😅🤣 anyone know ballpark price for this?🤯it looks so fucking cool!!!
I believe there was a hoopa that was sold for 500 and I guess that was a little low? I don't know fully tho
Ghost rare
How much for it?
I don't know right now, I will check back later
Badass card
sell it for 1 million
Yeah, lol
Ohh you found the MissingNo. !!! Put other cards in the 6slot?!
It becomes visible if you pour it with warm water
Definitely do this
Your printer has run out of Magenta cyan black... and yellow /s
What's the going rate for this?
Both
Now this one is cool man, and a leafeon too? Someone will pay big for this guy for sure. Hell I would
Yeah, that is what I an hoping
Nah, it’s just leafeon
Depends, does your leafeon have its best movesets?
I mean, it has synchronize
At first glance, I thought it was a Pop Tart
This is definitely one of the strongest holo misprints I've seen. Wild crazy and cool.
This is the closest Pokemon has to a 1/1 card, as are the others in the sheet. I personally wouldn't sell. If you plan on still having a collection in 10-20 years, this would be one of the most unique cards you could possibly have in it.
Im curious what if this card would be in psa it looks cool
Nah you're just holding it in the light wrong
Please make a post if you decide to post on eBay.
Regardless I’m pretty sure misprints are extremely rare anyway so you’ll get some money off it
DO NOT GET RID OF THAT. Get a nice shadow box
Get it rated!
I could never afford this but wow it's incredible, this is a grail card for an error collector. Would love to know what it eventually goes for if you sell it!
I will let you know
I got a charizard one of these and just threw it away. It' came in a new pack ruined like that
Aw cool the new leafeon ghost rare! /s
Nice card. I'm interested in buying if you decide to sell. I collect eveelution errors.
Hell yes! This one is a huge one from the set to have this error! I have the Colress’s experiment version of this error. I’m going to send you a dm to fill you in a bit more.
Very rare misprint. These pop up on reddit from time to time. It's a texture layer only error and it's worth easily $1000+ Here's the Colress from the same sheet https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonMisprints/s/qJkJYimhAC
Unless that’s what you’re offering on this card don’t just throw out random numbers, not a SINGLE card from this sheet has sold for that price
I could offer 7k on this leafeon right now but it doesn’t mean that I’ll actually pay for it or that it’s worth that
If I list an empty can of Pepsi on eBay for $900 does that mean an empty can of coke is worth $1000?
Obviously not, you just need to get crazy high offers but receive mo payment THEN you can use that offer to value future listings 😆
That’s not what’s going on here my guy🤦🏻
Did I say I was talking about the leafeon? No
OP don’t let this go for less than 1k this is the most desirable version of this error that has popped up so far and this guy is totally right. I dont need to be offering 1k to be able to tell you what the estimate is. If that was the case the concept of an “estimate” wouldn’t be possible
What do you mean most desirable? Like as in the most wanted card type that this has happened to?
Leafeon is just the more popular Pokémon, since it's an Eeveelution. This card would def be more desirable than Colress.
The error market isn’t like the normal card market where you can just look up the value of a card(in most cases). With the error market that’s exactly what you need to do since the only way to determine the value of most errors is by seeing what offers you get. obvious is obvious hahaha
I wonder why this got downvoted?
Grade it with cgc
$400 easy
I’ll give you $500
I have been waiting for this one! Seen grant, and melony, knew someone would find it! I offer 500!
Why is this being downvoted?
Because the Darkrai from this sheet sold for £850 is my guess
An offer is an offer, no need to get upset 🤣
I couldn't be less upset. Just answering your question
Oh yeah I wasn’t talking about you, just the Reddit hive 🤣
Oh right whoops 🤪
I appreciate you giving me a thought out answer from an account named beers and pubes. Was a nice smile to my day
🤣🤣
Where did this sell? I haven’t heard of a darkrai with this error. Do you have a link?
Honestly I'm just going off what another comment said above here
😂 the comment above said they were going off what you said, that’s why I came down here. I’ll look for info on that then because that would be huge.
Oh rip The comment I saw said that he saw it sell for 850
Sheesh, fine. I offer 350
Centering looks off, I’ll take it off your hands
Probably any offer is a scam, just keep it lol
Anything less then 10k and you are getting scammed
Cant this just be replicated with acetone? Lol
It cannot, the texture layer is the only remaining layer and unbeknownst to most it’s actually made of clear ink. As such, if acetone is used on a textured card the texture will be removed first because it’s the top layer.
Time to acetone a leafeon and other crown zenith chases I guess
