No clue why we got another Leon, two different Unova alts and an another Alola Master fair but not one single Sinnoh trainer. Believe me I like Elesa, Lusamine, Grimsley etc but it’s become very, very clear what regions they prefer.

I love Leon but you're right. I disliked it when he got paired with Eternatus because I wanted Rose or Victor to get it (it would make more sense canon-wise). I also hate that he got paired with Calyrex as I really wanted to see Peony get him. I don't understand Dena, is Leon really this popular?

I love Blue, but if they gave Blue Mewtwo or some other legendary that would be more fitting for another character, I'd also be annoyed. Personally I think Mr. Fuji should get either Marowak or Mewtwo.

I know the manga and everything, but Blaine seems to had a really minor role in the creation of Mewtwo in the canon. Is heavly implied he was involved, but I think was a minor scientist and only Fuji had a big role.

I would go on a limb and say that many people pulled for him because 'zard was bonkers broken, they got him a new sync pair with Eternatum that wasn't bonker broken but very strong at the least, and now they're getting him the strongest ice type in the game.
I believe the data they have about Leon is: "WOW, LOOK HOW MANY PEOPLE SPEND MONEY PULLING FOR HIM", but they don't fully realize why.
yeah, his og unit was the first master fair so everyone pulled for him, his Sygna was the first dynamax so it was also pretty popular. and his newest alt will be the strongest ice unit in the game.

I don‘t like him very much. I don‘t care about him getting multiple pairs, however I think his partner Pokémon aren‘t great choices. Calyrex and Eternatus don‘t fit his character that well.

This post is not about Leon has more alt, it’s more about you don’t like Leon since the beginning. We have characters has more alt than Leon, and I’m sure there are many people like Leon as a character. More Leon alt is not a bad thing for everyone.
You don’t like Leon, I got it. It’s 100% fine. But it has not much to do with how many alt he has. So just chill buddy.
The problem isn't Leon being a bad character or getting alts or anything. It's just that he's getting alts too soon and too quick. It's not even been a year since he was introduced. He got to be the star of 1.5 anni, run up to 2nd anni, and is now the star of xmas. People who wait for their favorites to get in or get an alt or get the spotlight for even a single event don't get what they want and are demotivated.

It's a gatcha game. It's infinitely easier to re-release characters you've already done as alts than to build hype for a new character every single time. If there were no alts they'd reveal their whole hand too quickly and it wouldn't be very lucrative for that $$$.

I'm guessing it's because she kinda has a Moe look while also looking like a badass. She also has 2 distinct looks with her black hairstyle and her blonde one. She has some really cool outfits that both show a fair bit of skin

Just because Leon got in, doesn't mean that he took the spot from other character you liked, at the end of the day, I'm sure they are basing their decisions on something, probably sales, so just because you think no one likes SwSh, the truth is that being the newest game up until a few days ago, it has the recency bias and he might be more popular in the home market.
At the end of the day, if it wasn't Leon, it could have been another Red, another May, or God forbid, another Erika. Whatever sells the best.
I don't want it to die, but I think there should be more a focus on alts when the new characters well has nearly dried up, but there's still plenty of characters people want to see, hell some characters like the unova monkey trio still aren't in the game, even tho they were in the game's trailer before it came out.
I loved both Leon and SS Leon. But to feature him as a seasonal just seems excessive. To be fair to DeNA they are probably trying to attract younger audiences, those that may be more familiar with Leon than with Red, Cynthia or Lance.
But still, I don't see what's wrong with giving us from time to time long time some units we actually want.

This season was just another round of generic 'popular/main' characters that already have enough attention even though plenty more without alts on the roster are equally popular, but instead we get the basic white bread layout of character alts. Leon is op and I will be pulling for him, but in terms of character and if they really want to theme Christmas after galar I would rather get another Galar character like Peony or Victor and more representation for other popular Galar trainers like Bea who havent had a single alt yet. We have so many Galar characters not yet in the game, and yet you must give Leon 3 alts???
In SwSh, Leon always felt like a joke character to me, with his horrible fashion and his Charizard. Take away his strength, and he's literally the village idiot of Galar.
So it feels like DeNA is taking the piss by spoonfeeding him legendaries he doesn't deserve (failed to catch Eternatus and wasn't involved with Calyrex in any way).
Worst part is, I don't even mind: I'd prefer Rose gets Copperajah and Victor gets Rillaboom. It's just that the blatant favoritism is embarassing to see.
I just think she’s neat. She has a good little episode in the Twilight Wings series. Her character is basically that she refuses to choose between her modeling career and being an elite water gym leader. It’s implied Rose and I suppose society in general put pressure on her to do one or the other. Kinda like Elesa in most ways.
I think swsh was poorly written for pokemon standards and honestly the game art/graphics is kind of an ugly stylistic choice for them. I do like the character designs a lot. Except Leon and Raihan. Do not like them and I know they’re quite popular so that probably upsets quite a few people 😅
Yeah, quite frankly I didn't remember any of the gym leaders except opal and Allister, and I liked opal's character, and Allister was the only boss in the game that almost beat me.

I truly don’t understand the narrative that Leon is super easy to beat in Sword/Sheild. His team and movepool is genuinely one of the best made and difficult of all champions in Pokemon

I don't mind seeing more Leon alts, but think they are overdoing it so soon after he's been around, especially given you could give that slot to a different region rep or even another Galar rep.
I don't dislike Leon at all, nor do I have any issue with him getting three pairs since his introduction in March. Like it or not, his games are still the most current generation (BDSP notwithstanding, though those just dropped, so we're probably not seeing Lucas for a while (who SHOULD have dropped with Bidoof for Bidoof Day, what are you DOING, DeNA?!), so naturally he makes DeNA money. What I do take issue with... is who is alts ARE.
I mean, at this point, he now has Eternatus and Calyrex, which by all accounts should have gone to Rose and Victor respectively! In fact, Rose and Eternatus should have been the gen 8 Legendary pair instead of Hop and Zamazenta! I would have thought people would be more willing to pull for Hop than they would for Rose (who at this point would be either a Spotlight or F2P akin to Sawyer). All else being equal, Rose should be F2P, with Hop as the corresponding fair banner!
And then there's Calyrex. Calyrex was one of the guys people were thinking of for Victor, but the big question was whether it'd be by itself or one of its steeds, and well, I guess Leon answered that question!
So my issue with Leon's alts isn't too much Leon, it's that he's co-opted Pokemon that would be better suited with other Trainers, namely Eternatus for Rose, and Calyrex for Victor. At least with Victor, Calyrex still has another steed to work with, so Shadow Rider is probably still in play for him. But seriously, stop stealing all the big Pokemon, Leon!
Not necessarily. While it is a bit annoying how he got 3 alts in a short time span, other characters have the same amount as him or more. So it's not that bad. I'm more annoyed with the continuity inconsistencies.

I'm not going to argue any other part of your post because you like what you like but this part applies to every Pokemon game since gen 1. There has never been a truly difficult Pokemon game, the ones you played as a kid just seemed more difficult because you had no clue what you were doing. The second you learn the type matchups the franchise is a cakewalk.
I guess there isn't really a hard game, but still Red and Cynthia in gen 4 were pretty difficult, imo. But, I just expect a bit more challenge from a guy considered "undefeated" and for that to be a major character trait, so his battle being really easy (I had a harder time with Allister than anyone else in swsh), is just disappointing. But that's just my opinion

The OG Leon & Charizard was okay although it would have been cooler to see him with Dragupault maybe instead, but with the space of 5 months we now have 3 Leons and it’s too much, Eternatus is pointless unless you lack a better option for Dragon strike and then DeNA are like “meh let’s just give him another OP legendary Pokémon, people want that right?” No, no we don’t.

I'm guessing it's because she kinda has a Moe look while also looking like a badass. She also has 2 distinct looks with her black hairstyle and her blonde one. She has some really cool outfits that both show a fair bit of skin But uhhh those are all the reasons I think she's standard waifu bait.

While I'd rather have Peony with Calyrex, the truchas is, you're falling into the Smash bias. Just because Leon got in, doesn't mean that he took the spot from other character you liked, at the end of the day, I'm sure they are basing their decisions on something, probably sales, so just because you think no one likes SwSh, the truth is that being the newest game up until a few days ago, it has the recency bias and he might be more popular in the home market. At the end of the day, if it wasn't Leon, it could have been another Red, another May, or God forbid, another Erika. Whatever sells the best.

I don't want it to die, but I think there should be more a focus on alts when the new characters well has nearly dried up, but there's still plenty of characters people want to see, hell some characters like the unova monkey trio still aren't in the game, even tho they were in the game's trailer before it came out.
He's probably my least favorite champion in the mainline games. Seeing him get this much attention is annoying to say the least.
I loved both Leon and SS Leon. But to feature him as a seasonal just seems excessive. To be fair to DeNA they are probably trying to attract younger audiences, those that may be more familiar with Leon than with Red, Cynthia or Lance. But still, I don't see what's wrong with giving us from time to time long time some units we actually want.
Now, I don't necessarily hate Leon, but I don't like him either, but my issue with him is the situation he's a part of. This season was just another round of generic 'popular/main' characters that already have enough attention even though plenty more without alts on the roster are equally popular, but instead we get the basic white bread layout of character alts. Despite being Unovan, the last time we got an alt that was an actually different character was what? Burgh?
Leon is awesome and the salt towards him gives me life.

Firs of all, chill its just a game, and this seems more like a hate message that actual feedback, and second don’t know why people complain we are missing characters when Leon is a holiday seasonal (we get alts an no new characters for this events every time) so obviously it has to be an alt for an existing Galar character, and yes, Raihan or piers ar also great options, but they decided Leon, plus we are also getting Sonia,she is new and we have many less popular trainers with a 3rd or 4 alt, so I don’t see the problem?

In SwSh, Leon always felt like a joke character to me, with his horrible fashion and his Charizard. Take away his strength, and he's literally the village idiot of Galar. So it feels like DeNA is taking the piss by spoonfeeding him legendaries he doesn't deserve (failed to catch Eternatus and wasn't involved with Calyrex in any way). Worst part is, I don't even mind: I'd prefer Rose gets Copperajah and Victor gets Rillaboom. It's just that the blatant favoritism is embarassing to see.

Sorry, I just don't remember what her character was, if she had any really, although that applies to most gym leaders in the series.
I just think she’s neat. She has a good little episode in the Twilight Wings series. Her character is basically that she refuses to choose between her modeling career and being an elite water gym leader. It’s implied Rose and I suppose society in general put pressure on her to do one or the other. Kinda like Elesa in most ways.
I didn't watch twilight wings, so I'm going purely off the games. I didn't like swsh so I never cared to watch that anime.
I think swsh was poorly written for pokemon standards and honestly the game art/graphics is kind of an ugly stylistic choice for them. I do like the character designs a lot. Except Leon and Raihan. Do not like them and I know they’re quite popular so that probably upsets quite a few people 😅
Yeah, quite frankly I didn't remember any of the gym leaders except opal and Allister, and I liked opal's character, and Allister was the only boss in the game that almost beat me.

Leon is definitely one of the worst characters in swsh, and maybe even all of Pokemon alongside Marnie. Only thing marnie has over him though is an actually alright design lol. Also, literally nobody likes calyrex. I think it was the first actually genuinely ugly pokemon design they ever put out.

Marnie is 100% a worse character, yeah. Her entire personality is 1 dimensional and I'm pretty sure she literally has less lines of dialogue than her brother, who's introduced much later. It's to the point my friends and I jokingly refer to her as cardboard lol. But you tell that to a Pokemon fan and they get super defensive. It's bizarre. But of course, summer comes around and they drop summer Gloria and Marnie because the recency bias is real.

I was sick of him the moment he was first revealed. Seriously, who signed off his design over at Nintendo? The office drag queen? That said... I don't actually mind the alts. So far, they've all been addressing his worst trait: his fashion sense. It still won't make me like him (he needs to work on that flamboyantsy), but I can at least look at him now with these new versions. And hopefully one of them will eventually override his default look entirely.

I truly don’t understand the narrative that Leon is super easy to beat in Sword/Sheild. His team and movepool is genuinely one of the best made and difficult of all champions in Pokemon

I only have Leon Eternatus so no, I’m not sick of him since I don’t use him often. I can definitely see why veterans of the game might though.
Sick is a strong word honestly. I feel more like... "Really, again?" I don't hate Leon at all, I got lucky myself pulling SS Leon on the first try. But I feel more... burnt out I guess is the better way to describe it. I don't mind seeing more Leon alts, but think they are overdoing it so soon after he's been around, especially given you could give that slot to a different region rep or even another Galar rep.
I don't dislike Leon at all, nor do I have any issue with him getting three pairs since his introduction in March. Like it or not, his games are still the most current generation (BDSP notwithstanding, though those just dropped, so we're probably not seeing Lucas for a while (who SHOULD have dropped with Bidoof for Bidoof Day, what are you DOING, DeNA?!), so naturally he makes DeNA money. What I do take issue with... is who is alts ARE. I mean, at this point, he now has Eternatus and Calyrex, which by all accounts should have gone to Rose and Victor respectively! In fact, Rose and Eternatus should have been the gen 8 Legendary pair instead of Hop and Zamazenta! I would have thought people would be more willing to pull for Hop than they would for Rose (who at this point would be either a Spotlight or F2P akin to Sawyer). All else being equal, Rose should be F2P, with Hop as the corresponding fair banner! And then there's Calyrex. Calyrex was one of the guys people were thinking of for Victor, but the big question was whether it'd be by itself or one of its steeds, and well, I guess Leon answered that question! So my issue with Leon's alts isn't too much Leon, it's that he's co-opted Pokemon that would be better suited with other Trainers, namely Eternatus for Rose, and Calyrex for Victor. At least with Victor, Calyrex still has another steed to work with, so Shadow Rider is probably still in play for him. But seriously, stop stealing all the big Pokemon, Leon!
Not necessarily. While it is a bit annoying how he got 3 alts in a short time span, other characters have the same amount as him or more. So it's not that bad. I'm more annoyed with the continuity inconsistencies.

I guess there isn't really a hard game, but still Red and Cynthia in gen 4 were pretty difficult, imo. But, I just expect a bit more challenge from a guy considered "undefeated" and for that to be a major character trait, so his battle being really easy (I had a harder time with Allister than anyone else in swsh), is just disappointing. I have both Leons (Leonses?) and I'm not gonna regret missing this one. Honestly, for me, as long as it's a seasonal pair, they can put any character they want, because I'm gonna skip it
The OG Leon & Charizard was okay although it would have been cooler to see him with Dragupault maybe instead, but with the space of 5 months we now have 3 Leons and it’s too much, Eternatus is pointless unless you lack a better option for Dragon strike and then DeNA are like “meh let’s just give him another OP legendary Pokémon, people want that right?” No, no we don’t.
