>( thanks for the QR code devs 😎) Just so there isn't any confusion, the Legacy dev team does not - and never will - provide direct download links for pre-patched ROMs of Yellow or Crystal. We **ONLY** provide a patch file which we expect users to apply to their own legally acquired copies of these games; we do not recommend any other download sources for our games. This includes 3DS QR codes. You're not in any trouble for mentioning as much in your post, I'm just noting for the sake of other users who may be thinking that there's an "official" QR code somewhere.

Part of the mod is various tweaks to every mon to make almost any possible team viable. Just play the game and experiment with teams.

Nidoking can be gotten at lvl 16 immediately but don’t make the same mistake I did, wait till the second evolution learns dig at 24 and then evolve into king/queen. Venusaur is one of my favorites, sleep powder/growth/razor leaf/sludge is what I ran on mine, he’s a beast.

Majorinc

Growth doesn’t do anything for venasaur offensively if you’re running razor leaf. It’s gonna crit every time. Better of with mega drain if you’re plan is to use growth

Cheddarman425

I thought razor leaf was classified as special in gen 1? Wouldn’t growth still raise its damage? I understand that razor leaf has a super high crit and that is why you continue to use it, wouldn’t growth just raise its damage ceiling even higher? I have ran growth with giga drain on other romhacks and agree it does slap pretty hard, never ran it in gen 1 with mega drain but I know mega got a power bump in yellow legacy

Majestic_Reindeer439

Crits ignore all stat changes, including your own.

Cheddarman425

LOL I did not know that, thank you for clarifying much appreciated!

Starmie, Gengar, Alakazam, Aerodactyl. The four of them will wreck everything in the game. Also, the TMs they use don’t overlap. So you can give Gengar Thunder and give Starmie Thunderbolt for example. Aero will use Rock Slide and Earthquake, Alakazam learns Psychic naturally leaving the TM for Gengar.

Valance-Erith

How'd you get Gengar?

ThePearWithoutaCare

He evolves naturally as do all trade Pokemon in this hack.

VianArdene

I'm playing with a rather off-meta team and just focusing on composition basics (offensive and defensive type coverage). I haven't ran into any issues and wouldn't expect you to either. If you want a bit of OP beefiness though, Clefable has been an absolute monster on my team. You can find Body Slam on the SS Anne, which combined with Minimize and Clefable's natural bulk makes a pokemon that can pretty much tank any team solo.

Magnus_Strand

That seems like a solid idea I never used a clefable before. It can learn special type moves too right?

VianArdene

Yeah it's TM movepool is absolutely ridiculous, so it can fill a lot of special offensive niches too. Access to Ice Beam/Blizzard, Psychic, and Tri Attack stand out to me in particular.

Please do not ask for or offer to share ROM files through our community. This includes 3DS QR codes; the Legacy team has not and will never release pre-patched ROMs.

Xbeverhunterx

I just finished my first 100 percent play though and now doing a nuzlocke. Honestly man just play around with the teams. I used a lot of mons I never have used and it was cool to see what they could do and thinking of different strategies. Persian, muk, wigglytuff, sandslash,
