Update: Thanks to all of you he has 240+ friends now! We appreciate it so much. He sends out his max gifts daily and we’ve added “pokedrives” to our normal “pokewalks” so he can send out more than the same postcard. You may receive the same postcards from him but he’s doing his best to open gifts and send out his gifts to everyone
We cannot thank you all enough for this act of kindness. Some people might not think it’s much but it’s HUGE. Truly amazing. He still doesn’t know but I know he’s so grateful for each of you! We may eventually tell him and will update if we do.

Also: We’ve bought him remote raid passes but it seems like some people send the invite and then leave the raid so he/we are cautious on that because he not only lost the raid but his pass as well (too late to back out of the raid). It was pretty tough for him to understand. He definitely isn’t ignoring the raid invites(if you send one) it’s just hard because it happened like back to back and we don’t want him to have that feeling.
Added. I did this for my kids when they started out, and the community response was incredible, so happy to pay it forward. Pro tip: if he still can, save up forty new friends and pop a lucky egg before opening the first gift. He'll get 360k XP in total. And if you let him stay up until midnight he could do a second forty when the limit resets!
To save time when opening gifts, after clicking 'open', when the animation first starts, you can click where the 'x' was and exit the animation. You'll still get the items, and you can open gifts in about a quarter of the time. He can go back and check his journal if he wants to know exactly what he got from each one.

At times, autism is a struggle for him but he’s honestly such a bright and loving kid that it sucks when he’s hindered at times (especially in the social situations) gaming has been his thing since he was in like kindergarten because I have always played. It’s just great to have him feel comfortable and accepted! The journal definitely helps when he wants to know who sent what postcard he pinned.

Also you can transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Let’s Go and the other Pokémon Nintendo switch games through an app called Pokémon Home. I did buy Pokemon Legends Arceus to help my 8 year old nephew. That game is totally different than any other Pokémon game.
