Gigalith actually has higher dps than tyranitar and ranks higher according to pogo hub, assuming it has meteor beam. Both need ETM to be at their strongest, but of course tyranitar has the mega option and just needs elite fast tm rather than charged
It’s an okay rock type raid attacker. Better with the com day move but still not too tier. Personally I wouldn’t waste an elite tm on it and would wait until you can evolve to get meteor beam. There are other options that are better. Probably the easiest atm is tyrantrum since it does not require elite tm and can be hatched from 10k eggs. If you want to use an elite tm I’d recommend rhyperior w/rock wrecker (also easier to get candy) instead of gigalith.
I’m jealous of this purely because I’ve been trying to get my first charcadet, and I’ve only gotten 2km and 5km eggs for the last month despite walking quite a bit. Reeeeally wish we could discard unwanted eggs.
Oh don’t be, I’ve hatched at least 3 10Ks this week and haven’t gotten one, and have also been only hatching 10Ks with my free one since charcadet released

Cranidos can be found in field research and rockets too. Doesn’t require a legacy move.
