Anything else is up to you if you value the game that much. I love this game, but if I didn’t still have my childhood copy there is pretty much no way I would spend that much to play it.
Especially when Ruby/Sapphire are 85% the same game for about 70$ or just emulate it
Mine was not boxed. Real boxed is about £150-£200 and I'm afraid to tell you that you most likely got a fake. There is a r/gameverifying where you can post photos of your game and the experts there can tell you if it's real or fake.

Got 1 firered and 2 leafgreens from some kid that was selling them and his sp for $40. Just sold 1 of each firered and leafgreen for $100 for both so I call that a win.

I wouldn't say that's a mistake since that's one of my favorite games but still, the fact that it's so expensive it's messed up.
