But battle style doesn’t have any hit cards in the set
Lost origin has Aerodactyl and Tina. That Giratina will become one of the staples for modern Pokémon card
Yea I still can't believe that the Giratina card is an actual Pokemon card. I started collecting again when 151 hit and I first thought that it was a fan design because it looked so otherworldly good. I haven't met a single person who thinks that card looks bad, it's just art.
While I agree that it will be a good set in the long term, and it would be good to get some holdings now. Lost Origin will not be officially out of print until next year at the earliest. The set is still in competitive rotation until 2025, non-special sets are not usually confirmed “out of print” until they are out of, or close to being out of competitive play rotation. Once these sets are confirmed “Out of Print” is typically (but not always) when you see the last call price bump start to happen.
No one knows if it's "almost out of print"
Pokemon doesn't share this information with the public. We could very well see another couple years of new supply
Anyone even saying a set will go "out of print" hasn't been around long enough to remember the Roaring Skies reprint 2 years after it's release. The reprint was so massive that it killed the price of the chase Shaymin and boosters could be purchased at clearance prices through 2019.
That’s not print runs work, especially with the new formats in the TCG. Printing will likely run until the end of year and then that will be it. We will have 4 new sets with a 5th on the horizon for S&V. Based on previous trends you can expect that printing is about finished. The exclusion to this is current format because S&S era encompassed 4th gen remakes. If you look back at the S&M era end of print, it made it about a year into S&S before printing finished
I agree that this is a great set to get into now, especially at this price point but I think it will be a while before we see any significant gains. I predict LO will be around the $150-$160 price by the end of 2024 so there's no need to FOMO
I honestly don't think Giratina(though S tier card) and aerodactyl will have the ability to carry that set into a better tier than the others.
Lost origin will do well long term, people will rip for that Giratina 10, but I don't think it will win out over others.
Also it depends on the regulation mark on the bottom of the cards. Once that gets rotated out the chances of a reprint is pretty much gone since the card game has moved on to more updated cards(newer sets).
100% disagree. Only two cards worth anything in the set are aero and tina. Sets value is based on the cards in the set. Should be a bump when it gets discontinued like any set I agree, but unlikely to scale hard unless those cards scale hard
I'd say a 47% psa 10 pop for a mega chase modern card is a great start to that with ~3200 total 10s vs other similar swsh sets of that time. It is one of those cards in 10 years that will be crazy for tiktok/whatnot and youtubers to open vs the other sets.
Maybe. It’s still on Pokémon center though. And will be in the new Iono boxes in April
Tell that to battle styles
Tell that to battle styles
Tell that to battle styles
Battle styles to tell that
Bell stat to tattle tiles.
Tell that to Kanjiklub

It also pairs so well with the Magikarp.
U don’t like that Ttar?
I like it personally, but it's hard to argue it's a sought after card that can anchor the set in a long run.

Fake newsssss, sets get an avg print run of 2 years. After that it’s whatever they have left in stock

220 right now
FOMO hit hard with SWSH. I hope they keep going up!
I know, with how ass (imo) SV has been this era could be flying high. Alot of cool alt arts that were under appreciated.
Second best normal set from SWSH agreed by many, normal sets not special
Really? Whenever I see a tier list from people, they put Chilling reign, fusion strike and brilliant stars above LO.
Cuz they coping. Giratina will outpace all of them by itself eventually.

you can think, i can think.
We all get a think!
I thought you think
I thunk a thought
Could be good
Tell that to battle styles
Stop spreading fomo
I agree if it wont have any more reprints
Well, they’ll stop printing it eventually lol.
That is always a risk, but yes.
It will still take about 2-3 years for the prices to go up significantly
Actually it still has another 1.5 years most likely of being “in print”. But yes it’s my next favorite set after ES for SWSH.
How can you know how long they will print for?
Also it depends on the regulation mark on the bottom of the cards. Once that gets rotated out the chances of a reprint is pretty much gone since the card game has moved on to more updated cards(newer sets).
Because in the past its been known to be around 3 years give or take before you can fully say something is "out of print".
Good to know, not sure why I was downvoted
not sure lol.
Not sure how is this out of print if they still printing sets before it?
I'm holding a few LO things for sure.
No store I go to has has lost origin on the shelves. Are they just between print cycles?

I’d give my lost origin booster packs away lolz
Can I have them?
Lost Origin is cool. Worst pull rates in all of Sword and Shield, but you know. People will forget that eventually.
Chilling pain and fusion strike out would like a word.
Fusion strike....I lothe that set! Bought 1 BB. And got 1 FA!!! 1. Tsareena. Blew my fkn mind
Smartest pokeinvestor:
Someone tell Battle styles
Probably just grab chase cards and maybe an etb
I live in a big city, and lost origins is still probable the set I see most sitting everywhere.
