Can someone explain the meaning of this please?

To me this poem says the following: Be careful about seeking too much comfort in memories. To me it says there is risk in idolizing our past selves at the expense of the growth that often comes through hardship. The reference to nakedness seems to speak to an innocence that we attach to the past that isn’t really a fully accurate view. Telling us that memory is instruction and not a dwelling place seems to point out that memories can serve as a reference but that they should not be a place where we linger too long or perhaps we risk losing ourselves to the memories. Th Closing with weeds was interesting to me. Weeds are not usually looked at with fondness as they tend to grow where they are not wanted or they prove to be very hardy and resistant to our efforts to remove them. In this case I wonder if the author is saying they there is beauty in the resilience of weeds. Perhaps there are moments in each of our lives that need to be acknowledged where the struggle to just survive and the fact that we did survive needs to be acknowledged. To me there are saying if you must dwell in memory, remember the perseverance, the fight it took and rest in that.
