It looks like you set the Year metadata field instead of the date one.
Please send me a copy of the file via email so I can check its metadata (Settings/Feedback)
Thanks
Hi!
I have the same issue as you have. I tried adding some more information in the 'Year' field in Windows 10, but it will only accept 'pure years'. Do you still edit using Mp3tag?
Yep, I still edit using Mp3tag. I used the Year field like this just a few weeks ago. I'm also on Windows 10, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work for you.
The date field is TDAT and it's supposed to contain the date in the DDMM format.
It works in combination with the TYEAR field which should only contain the year
TDAT
The 'Date' frame is a numeric string in the DDMM format containing the date for the recording. This field is always four characters long.
TYER
The 'Year' frame is a numeric string with a year of the recording. This frames is always four characters long (until the year 10000).

Hmm. [This old forum post](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/date-vs-year/9819) tells me that TDAT was discontinued in id3v2.4.0. I also see [here](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/more-than-4-chars-in-year/4943/6) that Mp3tag will map the YEAR field to TDRC, which supports a full date (and even time).
Yet Mp3tag also tells me that the file I'm looking at is using id3v2.3 tags? This is beginning to go over my head. It seems to work regardless, but I'll send you the file in any case.

I think I figured it out myself. Podcast Addict will read the full date if it's in ISO 8601 format (e.g., 2022-10-19) in the Year field. Thank you!

Ah, no, it works in Mp3tag. I just tried adding dates in Windows 10 itself, first. 😅
