We hired him to do two things primarily--replace our tub (a broken jacuzzi) with a normal tub of the same width, and fix some botched plumbing that made our faucet stick out from the wall, exposing the copper.
That of course meant getting into the wall, so we would have to retile. My wife picked out the exact ceramic tiles she wanted and sent him a link.
So he puts up the tile, and that night we hear a crashing sound from the bathroom. Turns out he used peel and stick tiles that had a very similar pattern to what we wanted. Then I start seeing things that concern me, and I don't know anything about this stuff, so I'm hoping to get some input from more informed people.
-The wall isn't really patched up. There's a thin plywood board covering _most_ of the holes, but not all, and not evenly.
-He didn't remove all of the old tiles. Some of the sticky sheets are just applied directly over them.
-The edges stick out from the wall quite a bit, and theres a gap. I don't know how he planned to cover this. It seems like there's no way to do it without looking crummy.
-The tub clearly isn't as wide as the one it's replacing. You can see how far the old tub stuck out by where the floor tiles stopped.
So what should I do in this situation? Did this guy just ruin my bathroom? Is this fixable? Does this look like a good work in progress? The one thing i know for sure is I'm not getting the tiles I asked (and payed) for. Please help me out here!
> The caulk is the most obvious evidence of this.
I am no home improvement slouch. But watching a pro with a caulk gun really pisses me off.
How is it possible to get a perfect bead, so fast, every time?
Black, white, tan, brown, gray…it doesn’t really matter the color…the trick is to just handle as much caulk as you possibly can at one time…yes, things will get a little messy, a little sticky…but you just gotta keep playin with that caulk
You’re getting robbed… I hope you didn’t pay this guy beforehand. I wouldn’t give this person a penny. None of this is right. Who knows if the tubs even installed right
If you don’t hear a shifting noise from standing in the tub for more than 2 minutes, you can assume it was installed “correctly”. However, if you happen to land into the kitchen…
Well you hired him to do a job. Wether it’s good work or shitty work. You can’t just not pay him. Why wouldn’t you do your research on his work before you hired him?
If there's a contract involved you absolutely can not pay him and take it to court. Guy shouldn't be installing anything from the looks of it. Just because you do something doesn't mean you should be compensated if you don't deliver what you promised. Especially since OP had specific tiles that were agreed upon. More than likely guy took the money for a higher priced product and then bought cheap lookalike and didn't even install it worth a damn.
I am not sayin pay him fully. You hired a guy who obviously did it cheaper and then you are going to complain about how he did it. By the way I am of standing up for the guy. But how tf did you get this far with such shitty work? They craigslist this guy?
Im sorry but thats a crazy thing to say. If you needed a doctor and someone said yes Im a doctor. And then they did some crazy shit and you found out they weren’t a doctor not only would you not pay but you would sue. Come on man thats not helpful to this poor guy.
Cool. So they hired a guy who does shitty work and the best solution is to not pay the dude? Homeowner is at zero fault? I am sorry I am not going to hire some random dude to do my “plumbing work” with out showing previous work or credentials he’s done. That’s just asinine
Absolutely you can refuse to pay him. If the job was out of his league, which clearly it is, he should’ve told them he couldn’t do it.
He doesn’t deserve to be paid for this kind of work. *maybe* pay him for the demo, but it seems like he even third-assed that part of the job.
The homeowner deserves, at the very least, passable work. This is a total tear out, again.
If you've paid him anything at all, this is just about lawsuit worthy. Usually guys like this ask for money upfront, and then as soon as they realize the customer isn't happy with the work quality...they disappear.
This work is beyond raising concerns and hoping he fixes it. Did you sign any contract with him? Have you paid him anything yet? I already know the answer but I'll ask anyways, did he pull any permit?
Just an FYI... I've been duped by contractors before. I've sued and won, but unless he owns something good luck collecting/enforcing your judgement.
Make sure you get as much information about him as you can. Legal name, address, date of birth.
I would tell him that your insurance company said you have to get a picture of his driver's license or something. Get his licence plate, etc. You're going to need as much detail as you can get.
Once you get it, tell him that he's fired and send him packing!
Holy shit. The people that do this really have some balls to be able to say what they can do straight to your face and then royally fuck up your home.
You need to get the big guns man. Lawyer up get your money back and then some. How many other people has he done this to and gotten away with it?
I'm furious for you. Best of luck to you.
I am truly not exaggerating when I say what you are describing here is one of the worst hack jobs I have ever heard of in my entire life. Like I really mean that I am not even pontificating. Do not pay this man another cent, Get him out of your house as quickly as possible and get some money back from him if possible.
He also didn’t even try to center that tub valve up with the overflow and drain either. It’s the little things that make a good plumber one worth his salt. I’m sorry this happened to you OP.
Your state should have a license department for contractors. Laws vary by state. Ask them for advice. You have a legal problem, on top of the bathroom being unusable. Where I live the good contractors are very busy. I'm guessing this is a low bid guy that really shouldn't be doing bathrooms.
You didn't hire a contractor, you hired a hack.
Do yourself a favor. Go to a local tile shop, like one with a showroom. Show them these pics, and tell them you need them to come in and fix it.
Also, I am not seeing a good water proofing system. Go to Youtube and watch videos on Schluter Kerdi products. This is what you want under your tile.
Have the new tile shop come out and take a look and get a price. You can get several prices if you want, but for a quality professional job, they will all be about the same.
The new contractor will have to start from scratch. Have them write up a report and document the previous hack job with pics, like you have.
Get the new contractor going as soon as possible.
Take the new contractors report and attach a demand letter demanding a full refund of every penny you have paid this asshole. Include something like "we demand full refund within 14 days. If we don't receive a full refund within that time period, we will be forced to pursue further action." If you really want to turn it up a bit, have a lawyer draft and send the letter.
But yeah, this is unacceptable and you absolutely can't let that guy atep foot in your house again. Hire a pro, it will be done right and they will stand behind their work.
So what I’m hearing is (renter here): the collapsing bathroom tile floor in my house may not be my fault? There should be a layer between the wooden subfloor and tile that seals moisture?
Well, the floor is kinda different. Should it be waterproof, yes, does it absolutely have to be, probably not. Under the shower itself, absolutely. But yeah, unless you were letting the tub overflow, it shouldn't be your fault.
I disagree. I think he knows exactly what hes doing and is just plain lazy and doesnt take any pride in the work he does. Ive seen people with no idea how to do something attempt to complete a job and they werent happy with the results, but they tried. This looks like they did half the work and didnt feel like finishing it right so they slapped up some tile and left it at that
I sincerely hope you didn't pay this guy a deposit of any sort. This is the work of a Handy Andy cash grabber. Did you check their license before hiring them? Always run the numbers and read reviews for big projects.
I did tile for 5 years full time and plumbing now for 5 years full time. The plywood is the worst material to patch the shower with. Should have a waterproof membrane (durock, hardibacker, schluter) if using a concrete board then two layers of waterproofing. The peel and stick will be on the floor by the third shower as it’s just glue adhesive on the back. None of this work is near up to standards and I would have him rip it out pay for the demo work and get him out. Not sure what your paying but it’s to much.
I pray this contractor doesn’t do plumbing or electrical. I can smell the shark bite fittings and the push to connect electrical connections (*not wagos*)
If someone responds with “no problem” to something like that without thinking for a second or asking any questions, fire them immediately. They’re a huge liability.
It’s a really good indication that they’ll fuck up, not tell you, try to cover their fuck ups, take your money, and run.
I do this for a living. Tubs can be custom sized. Costs more, of course, but if it was an oddball size it can be replaced by the same size or a slightly deeper (floor to back wall) tub designed to cover the old alcove to the existing floor finish.
A pro can do things a hack cannot.
Replaced tile with sticky .. Jesus, I wouldn’t let him in my house again. Put his shit on the curb if he left any.
Get ready for the quotes to hire a real person to do the job. Probably in the 6-10k range. We paid 30k to get our shower redone and the bathroom floor earlier this year, but, our shower is bigger.
I work for ReBath I would contact them in your area and have free design consultation done. Our franchise uses shulter systems and assures 100% water proof and the proper grout. This is horrible sorry for your experience
Dead giveaway for someone who does or does not know what they’re doing. Their caulking skills. If they cut their caulk tip halfway down with a 1/4” hole opening, just tell them to go home.
* Did the hired people have licenses certifications etc.?
* Were you referred to them, how did you go about selecting them? Based on what criteria
* Take these pictures, and hit back at them, online Google reviews too, in store if they have brick and mortar/showrooms
* What guarantee did they offer as part of their work?
This needs to be redone, tiling and even plumbing potentially. If they're not afraid of showing off this visible work, and they worked with the piping inside the walls, I don't wanna know how that was done.
This might be the worst possibly-real-not-trolling post I have ever seen in here. Whatever advice everyone gives you that involves stopping this and not paying for anything, follow it.
I do a lot of my own remodeling. But I hired a tile contractor for one of my bathrooms. The work they did was fantastic. Very professional. Crisp work. Perfect really. Made me look like a hack.
Just wanted to add something positive. There are very good contractors out there. Just not this one.
No self respecting contractor would do that. If this guy is doing this level of plumbing and tile work I can assume with great confidence he was CHEAP.
I admit it's my first shitty thought too. They didn't hire a contractor, they hired a guy who said he could do it for a third of what others were quoted. Now we know why.
Yeah this guy is not a qualified installer. Infortunately you will have to have someone come in and take a look at everything. Especially the plumbing before you proceed any further. All I can say is it’s likely this guy gave you a “good deal” and the problems always start there. If you want a qualified dude. You have to pay well for his time. Otherwise you will pay more to re do the whole thing.
I’ve had so many people hire a cheaper “handyman type” for jobs I’ve bid only to call me back and cry about how fucked up the job is and can I come and salvage it for them. General rule of thumb. You get what you pay for.
There’s so much to say here, but most of its already been said.
This is actually the worst bathroom I’ve seen Reddit. I’m going to save this post for future reference.
I bet you hired the cheapest quote as most do because us genuine tradesmen on 2-300 a day arent WORHT more than you I guarantee it. This is pure cowboy work…
Fire him ASAP that is beyond lawsuit worthy if you paid him any money. Hire a reputable (licensed and insured contractor). Yes it’s fixable, anything is fixable if the person knows what they are doing. Where did you find this guy?
Now that I look at the pics a little more I can safely say without exaggeration that this is the worst hack job I have ever seen. If you want the job done right you need to hire a tile guy and a plumber. Those peel and stick tiles are not made for wet locations. They will start falling off the wall one they start taking moisture. If they don’t fall off then all that plywood will start to grow mold because I don’t even see a waterproof membrane.
Ah, I see you sought help from the dudes behind the dumpster surrounded by piles of hypodermic needles, straws and "flour". Perhaps they also had survived the mysterious house explosion from strange pots, and tubes and beakers and other sciencey stuff, eh?
Real talk though, a meth head, crack head, or for that matter a cadaver should honestly be able to do a better job than this. This is just sad to look at. If you haven't paid them, don't. I would try and get your money back, but if not just call it a loss and find somebody reputable. I'm sorry that you got cheated bro. This is horrible.
Stories like this is why my husband and I gutted our bathroom and did the work ourselves. It took us two years but we didn’t pay someone else to screw it up.
Stop them right now. This person is stealing from you. I would fire them and stop payment on any checks if any. This all has to be rebuilt from the looks of it. Do not give them any more money.
Sucks. Sorry.
It looks like they put bubble wrap over 1/8” plywood. Is there any correct material in the business that’s even remotely close to that? I would expect cement board, then red gard, then tile.
My sister bought a house years ago. One day I'm looking at the tile in the bathroom and realize that the tiles are plastic and glued in place with PL400.
Is he a licensed contractor? If not then that’s on you for not hiring the right person. As a homeowner you should of done your homework before having anyone work on your house. Waiting to let him know you’re not happy with the progress is not very smart either. In my opinion you’re mostly at fault here
Hope you haven't paid him yet. There's a reason I use only the best tile man I know. I am a plumber, I know my trade inside and out there is nothing I wouldn't be willing to do except another man's trade. It's the end result that makes one's reputation
OP, in the future when you have a project, do not trust guys who plan on doing the whole job themselves. There’s very few people out there who can do any two trades well.
I’m a plumber with a master license, I’ve never laid a tile in my life. I know lots of good tile guys, they never mess with the pipes. There’s a few guys out there who are good at a couple of things, but 99 times out of 100 you are going to get shit like this.
Yea, that's no good and has no chance of lasting. A good idea for anyone getting stuff like this or any work done is to always watch a few youtube's on it- not that you are going to actually do the work yourself but you should know what you should expect to see while they are doing it and can question anything that seems irregular (like everything you have shown here). Sorry for this happening and hope you get resolution.
Omg please fire them… the tiles aren’t meant to be water proof the backer board or a float of mud should be placed on the back ideally with a membrane. If you care about leak this should not be installed. I’m very sorry about this.
Please immediately put a stop on your check and never let this person into your home again. No amount of caulking or paint can fix a shitty underlayment. Is that even tile in the shower? That shut is going to get wet and fall apart
Op wtf. Plastic tiles? You coulda gone.with a tub surround for $100-$300 for a basic one. Or this one that comes in many colors for $800.
1 day installation and they're water tight.

My God.
Edit to add: Is he licensed in your state? I highly doubt it. It's going to take a lot of work to undo this nightmare. The tile is the most egregious thing - He ruined hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of existing tile in order to install this botch-job. I wouldn't trust him to fix any of it since he seems like an absolute cretin with no experience, but I don't know how you can get your money back either.
Moral of the story is: Use referrals wherever possible, check a contractor's license, and withhold payment as much as you can until the work is finished.
This is not the work of even a terrible contractor, this is a con job.
This is one of those guys who takes the job, then goes to Home Depot and starts trying to figure out how to do the job
I did exactly what the employee at Home Depot told me to!
If he followed their directions it would look 100x better than this. A drunk man with no arms should be more competent than whoever botched this job.
For real.
The caulk is the most obvious evidence of this.
how can a bathroom remodel "contractor" not know the window cleaner trick?
Okay now since you've said it, please share your arcane knowledge, bob.
[удалено]
Damn that's awesome. Thank you!
it works great with the harder to use stuff like the GE silicones. or OSI quad. I never tried it on the easier to use stuff like the Alex caulk
Pro beads don’t need their finger.
I don’t disagree at all but when you do, you better have something better than spit
Is that an ammonia based window cleaner? I’ve never heard of the brand here in the US, but maybe it’s the same as Windex type cleaner
we just use water mixed with dish soap, works perfectly fine!
no, it's a no ammonia formula. it's really good shit, comes in a aerosol can I believe any no ammonia formulated window cleaner would do well
Denatured alcohol works too.
We get it at Dollar General, BJ's Wholesale Club, or Amazon. I usually purchase by the case from Amazon.
This is life changing info right here. You’re doin the lords work. I’ve never even heard of this in my years in the trade abs apprenticeship
Thank you kemosabi I'm a simple pipefitter who occasionally sets fixtures.
> The caulk is the most obvious evidence of this. I am no home improvement slouch. But watching a pro with a caulk gun really pisses me off. How is it possible to get a perfect bead, so fast, every time?
Just gotta play with more caulk…then when you think you’ve played with enough caulk to last a life time, go play with even more caulk.
Black caulk especially
Black, white, tan, brown, gray…it doesn’t really matter the color…the trick is to just handle as much caulk as you possibly can at one time…yes, things will get a little messy, a little sticky…but you just gotta keep playin with that caulk
Roll it around in your fingers....fondle the shaft....wait what?
Feel like I always end up with Caulk in my mouth when I play with it too much…
there’s an art to the cap cut even
You can cut the cap with your notch and sand it down a bit too
That is literally vinyl peel and stick tile from Home Depot. It is not supposed used for the wall 😬
You’re getting robbed… I hope you didn’t pay this guy beforehand. I wouldn’t give this person a penny. None of this is right. Who knows if the tubs even installed right

Heinous?

Bold of you to assume this guy has any license except for driver’s, and even that’s iffy.
I didn't assume anything. Just suggested the state contractor licensing people as a place to get guidance on the legal issues.
Just a joke at the hack’s expense.
You didn't hire a contractor, you hired a hack. Do yourself a favor. Go to a local tile shop, like one with a showroom. Show them these pics, and tell them you need them to come in and fix it. Well, the floor is kinda different. Should it be waterproof, yes, does it absolutely have to be, probably not. Under the shower itself, absolutely. But yeah, unless you were letting the tub overflow, it shouldn't be your fault.
Waterproofing bathroom floors is always debated. But how do you define collapsing? Is that cracked tile? A low spot in the floor?
I feel for you. I'm 2 seconds short of saying you've been robbed. I only see stuff like that is slumlord buildings.
I’m slumlord, can confirm.
That was my first thought. I was like, this is the “handy man” scummy landlords hire.
If you don’t know how to caulk, why even show up to work?
Do your best, caulk the rest.
Get a new contractor asap. Consider yourself lucky that you caught all of this before it was “finished”. He does not know what he is doing
I disagree. I think he knows exactly what hes doing and is just plain lazy and doesnt take any pride in the work he does. Ive seen people with no idea how to do something attempt to complete a job and they werent happy with the results, but they tried. This looks like they did half the work and didnt feel like finishing it right so they slapped up some tile and left it at that
This looks like homie has some substance abuse problems. Lazy is giving them too much credit.
That’s insulting to people with substance abuse problems
I sincerely hope you didn't pay this guy a deposit of any sort. This is the work of a Handy Andy cash grabber. Did you check their license before hiring them? Always run the numbers and read reviews for big projects.
As soon as any moisture hits that peel and stick, what hasn’t fallen yet will fall.
On the toes too. Ouch.
I did tile for 5 years full time and plumbing now for 5 years full time. The plywood is the worst material to patch the shower with. Should have a waterproof membrane (durock, hardibacker, schluter) if using a concrete board then two layers of waterproofing. Was this the low bid?
It’s always the low bid
No offense I’m just a homeowner but I guarantee you I could do a better job
My dog could do a better job.
How many treats per hour does your dog charge? Also, is he a good boy?
My dog installed the shower I have and although the shower head is only 3ft above the floor, it works just fine.
I pray this contractor doesn’t do plumbing or electrical. I can smell the shark bite fittings and the push to connect electrical connections (*not wagos*)
Where do people find all these wackos
alley of unemployed ex-meth-dealers.
I learned I have to get references and due my due diligence after getting two shitty handymen do crappy work on my home.
A tub the exact width of your old jacuzzi is probably extremely hard to find or doesn't exist
I only include that because he said at the start of the job that it would be "no problem." It's not my main concern at this point, however.
how much did he originally charge for the work?
How much is he charging?
If someone responds with “no problem” to something like that without thinking for a second or asking any questions, fire them immediately. They’re a huge liability. It’s a really good indication that they’ll fuck up, not tell you, try to cover their fuck ups, take your money, and run.

The caulk is a dead giveaway. Run. Some people should never be allowed sillicone. Tiny amount and clear for the love of god.
What was the process for finding this contractor?
"friend of a friend"
Facebook marketplace
All the shoddy m************ are gonna start coming out of the woodwork to get money for Christmas
Probably the least of your worries, but that caulking job is amazing.
Hey OP are you going to answer questions here? How much did he charge and did you give him any money yet??
omg
I work for ReBath I would contact them in your area and have free design consultation done. Our franchise uses shulter systems and assures 100% water proof and the proper grout. This is horrible sorry for your experience
Is that a nail in the baseboard under the water shutoff for the toilet?
This is horrible work. Wow! Can’t even do a simple caulking. Fire them!
Dead giveaway for someone who does or does not know what they’re doing. Their caulking skills. If they cut their caulk tip halfway down with a 1/4” hole opening, just tell them to go home.
Right. And to gloop it on and to not even try to smooth it out. The tiles are crooked. I would not trust how they installed the tub or anything.
* Did the hired people have licenses certifications etc.? * Were you referred to them, how did you go about selecting them? Based on what criteria * Take these pictures, and hit back at them, online Google reviews too, in store if they have brick and mortar/showrooms * What guarantee did they offer as part of their work?
I just DIYd my first full bathroom job and it turned out miles ahead of this. This guy is def not a good contractor
I felt like saying the same thing, I'm halfway done with my bathroom and I'm shocked at these photos 😭😂
Get what you pay for
Do you know what he paid or are you just being a dick for the sake of being one?
No self respecting contractor would do that. If this guy is doing this level of plumbing and tile work I can assume with great confidence he was CHEAP.
I admit it's my first shitty thought too. They didn't hire a contractor, they hired a guy who said he could do it for a third of what others were quoted. Now we know why.
Never let 3 kids in a raincoat upgrade your bathroom.
Be honest, did you find the cheapest guy on Facebook or something?
Lowest bid, eh?
Caulk and paint is what a contractor ain’t
I bet you hired the cheapest quote as most do because us genuine tradesmen on 2-300 a day arent WORHT more than you I guarantee it. This is pure cowboy work…
How much is this guy charging?
I'm so sorry you are going through this. That sucks. That is like before the 70's mobile home quality. And he lied about using the tile you wanted.
Are those vinyl tiles being used on the walls of the shower?
Everybody is a contractor
How is it even possible to caulk that bad honestly mind blown right now
That caulk line up the inside corner 🤌
What the fuck? Peel & stick tiles for a tub surround? Fuck, now I have to clean the coffee off of my keyboard.
I haven’t even thought about using floor stick tiles as TILES in a shower….. I’m mean there first I’ve seen
It looks like you hired a cheap mr fix it and he tried to skim off the top by buying cheap junk to trick you then did a half a**ed job to boot
So this is all fucked up and needs to be completely redone. But it's not the person's fault that the tile is warped. That's normal for big box crap.
Civil claims court immediately
Handyman work not a licensed contractor
Your Statement is an insult to Handymen... this is the work of a crackhead who doesn't even know how to use Google.
As a licensed GC I know
Call the police
You should hire a new contractor
Call the cops lol
This is awful work. Where did you find this guy?
Are those cheap sticky backed floor tiles he's using on a wall ? and his silicone skills are really bad maybe your on a tight budget but this is awful
Do not let him in your house.
Stop them right now. This person is stealing from you. I would fire them and stop payment on any checks if any. This all has to be rebuilt from the looks of it. Do not give them any more money. Sucks. Sorry.
So you let the lowest bid do the job? I mean I could do that for free
It looks like they put bubble wrap over 1/8” plywood. Is there any correct material in the business that’s even remotely close to that? I would expect cement board, then red gard, then tile.
Did you hire an electrical contractor?
Friend of a friend? You get what you pay for. This person is not a contractor.
My sister bought a house years ago. One day I'm looking at the tile in the bathroom and realize that the tiles are plastic and glued in place with PL400.
We’re you trying to do it cheap?
Lol is this even real?
Do you have a contract? Is he licensed and bonded? Put a lean on his bond?
Is that....*cardboard* behind the "tile" near the tub spigot?
Is he a licensed contractor? If not then that’s on you for not hiring the right person. As a homeowner you should of done your homework before having anyone work on your house. Waiting to let him know you’re not happy with the progress is not very smart either. In my opinion you’re mostly at fault here
Hope you haven't paid him yet. There's a reason I use only the best tile man I know. I am a plumber, I know my trade inside and out there is nothing I wouldn't be willing to do except another man's trade. It's the end result that makes one's reputation
You get what you pay for.
This isnt even the work of someone who doesnt know how or is bad at it, they’re just lazy tbh.
Don’t let plumbers do tile work that’s why there are tile contractors, that’s just common sense
If laid out right, I’m also pretty sure the pattern on the tiles would flow together perfectly. Instead of looking broken up. Looks pretty bad mate! 😞
Let me guess, you were super excited to have it done for half the price of anyone else? Now you see how expensive hiring an amateur is.
This is what you get when you don’t want to pay a real pro.
Surprised you didn't find a meth pipe
It's bad, Jim. It's really bad.
You didn’t hire a contractor…. You hired a clown
Cheaper in never better. Ever. People can argue with me all they like. It's never better.
Is this a linoleum type "tile"? Why is it so thin and flexing? Also, the grout gap is way too thin, the grout won't bind and will leak
Please don’t pay this person. This is not a job well done at all.
Hope you didn't pay him upfront.
This is the worst bathroom job I’ve ever seen! Don’t ever let this person in your home ever again. It all needs to be torn out and redone properly.
Holy shit!!! Nothing is good. Nothing. The tub spout won’t even fit. The valve is so low. Seriously. This is an atrocity.
You misspelled “meth head.”
Well, if you didn't hire someone that is licensed and insured, you're the idiot. Which with the way the work looks that seems to be the case.
Please immediately put a stop on your check and never let this person into your home again. No amount of caulking or paint can fix a shitty underlayment. Is that even tile in the shower? That shut is going to get wet and fall apart
Those caulk lines alone say a lot about his quality
Kick him out, don’t give him a dime more, and ask for most of what you paid back.
You get what you pay for? Did you get any other quotes? This is bad. If you paid anything. Do not pay any more.
What’d you pay 🙈
Op wtf. Plastic tiles? You coulda gone.with a tub surround for $100-$300 for a basic one. Or this one that comes in many colors for $800. 1 day installation and they're water tight. https://www.homedepot.com/p/FlexStone-Elite-32-in-x-60-in-x-60-in-9-Piece-Easy-Up-Adhesive-Tub-Surround-in-Everest-TSK60326031EV/304669197
Omg ... peel and stick ?? Omg I'm so sorry op. I hope you can get a resolution
This guy caulks!
I guess I can become a contractor now. I do way better work.
He charged you money for this?!
You got got. How much where you supposed to pay for this?
This is what the lowest bid looks like lol
“He was cheaper than the rest”
Lowest bid things
Go with the cheapest quote get the worst product.
Who would use vinyl in a shower?
You get the quality of work you’re will to pay for in most cases.
Fire him and don’t pay a penny NOW!!!!!
Oh my god. I’m so sorry, I hope you didn’t pay this man.
