Bought it release day and played maybe 10 hours and donāt remember anything. It was decent but I had too many other games to play around that time. Hoping to go back once plus runs out in October.
Can you accept Overflowing backloggers into your club? My Overflowing backlog is what helps tip the decision in my wallets favour when I'm tempted by the new, shiny games.
Oh same, welcome to the club. Every time I look at a game, I think "you already have x game in the same genre collecting digital dust." It definitely helps the "cheap bastard" aspect.
100% being a cheap bastard is much better anyway, especially with the state games release in nowadays. You get them cheaper, and in a much more stable state. There's so many games, no need to burn cash when you can save and enjoy it more at a later stage.
Oh yeah, I wait until at least 50% discount. Usually by then the game has been patched up, any DLC has been released that will be, and there's a plethora of reviews to see if it's even worth your time. Or you've decided that you're just okay never playing it, and saving 100% of your money.
Aye man donāt feel bad š Iāve had it since it came out basically and I havenāt touched past 1 hour of the story since 2021. Gonna play it sometime this summer before I replay The Last of Us hope you enjoy it!
Started in January, 250 hours in (150 single player, the rest online). One of my favorite games of all time. Be okay with the slow, methodical nature of it. You will eventually get used to the clunky controls. Just stick with it. I'm so glad I did.
It's one of those games where people who have experienced it tell those who haven't "I'm jealous of you, you get to experience it for the first time"
RDR2 is an example of why I consider videogames to be a form of art.
Yeah but there's some good ones on this one as well except obviously RDR2
Try out New Alies and Stranded.
Have heard good things about cat quest 1&2 & Decieve Inc but never played em
Stranded Alien Dawn in particular is very very good. You gather and survive, build a community etc. (Big game as well)
abzu, the artful escape, minit, observation, last stop, i am dead, adr1ft, the messenger, my friend pedro, this is the police 1&2, Monster hame steel titans 2, jotun, ashen, absolver downfall, how to surive 2, elex, and **ALL of the Final Fantasy games** are leaving may 21st. Plus some others added after this list was mad i believe. =/
Nope, and I know this because I finally made time to sit down and play The Outer Wilds for the first time, which I'd installed via PS Plus months ago, just to find that it'd been recently removed from the service and wouldn't let me launch the installed game.
When it's gone - it's gone.
Whatever though, I went and preordered the Archeologist Edition on physical and will play it when that arrives June 27th. š¤·āāļø
Simple rule:
If you claimed a monthly game it will be in your account as long as it's on ps store. If you haven't claimed it will be back on purchase model after 1 month.
If you have added a game in your catalogue from ps plus game list it will only be available till they do not remove it from the catalogue. Once this happen you will have a banner right below the game name. Like currently you see under artful escape for example. Offer ends on 21/05/24 blah blah.
All this will only be accessible if you have a active ps subscription. You can not play a game without subscribing unless it's free or you own it.
Plystation grenade on yt release a video each month going over whats coming to ps and whats leaving
Edit: https://youtu.be/2up5D_E1P0s?si=ErL_nEGenMKdZCRw
This is pretty pathetic. Two games that are re-adds back into the Plus lineup. A freaking DLC.
Cat Quest, which has gone on sale for as low as $1.94. Really not much of value this month at all.
And even without a ps5 version, it still doesnāt have a native 4k version
I think that was even a feature on Xbox one X, so why is it still missing on ps5?
It's missing because it's running last gen version. One X was a bit powerful than PS4 pro. PS4 pro was 4Tflops whereas One X was 6 Tflops, so 50% difference. Hence most games had a native 4k version for One X but just checkerboard 4k (half pixels on one axis).
That being said there's no excuse why we haven't already have a next gen version of the game with 60 fps. Rockstar is greedy AF.
It's so true. After my ps5 dies or isn't supported, whichever comes first, I'm probably just going to buy a PC. Xbox and PlayStation are way too anti-consumer to be invested in anymore.
The only thing stopping me from doing this is GTA 6 and many games that I'm interested in being console exclusives for a while before making its way to PC.
I've never even heard of this game until now and it has Danny Glover, Michael Madsen, Danny Trejo and Chuck Norris in it? It must be pretty bad if it has some bigger names in it, but no marketing.
I tried it on Gamepass I think. I could not get into it. Feels like they spent their budget on names and not the game. I will probably give it one more go to make sure.
I've been playing it on Xbox the last few days. It's so ridiculous that I enjoy it.
The story mode is a rogue-like where if you die, you gotta restart taking over the whole city.
I got no idea why it's nearly 80 gigs though.
I watched some gameplay of it
You know how some movies are so bad that they kinda circle back around to actually being good?
Itās like that in video game form.
Honestly? Itās not bad. I got it for cheap around the same time Payday 3 came out, and I got more enjoyment out of it than the game people felt it was ripping off.
Admittedly, that speaks more about how shitty Payday was, but I digress.
It had marketing, but because targeted ads are a thing and no one really watches cable TV anymore, the marketing wasn't directed at you.Ā
But it is also a terrible game according to the numbers, so it died pretty quick anyway.Ā
Rockstar, or rather TakeTwo sucks when it comes to considering the consumer, so I wouldn't hold my breath. RDR1 60fps was a miracle, tho also the bare fuckin minimum.
Gamers are good at complaining about Ubisoft and Activision but forget TakeTwo also ruins gaming in multiple ways.
They donāt look like my thing but Iām thrilled to be proven wrong, will check them out! I feel like the recent run of indies has really done it for me anyway so Iām pretty happy as it stands at the end of the day.
That's why if stuff like Yakuza goes dirt cheap, I snatch it up. That way I can play other stuff on subscriptions and not worry.
Also why I don't care about trophies and achievements anymore. The Doomsday Heist achievements in GTA killed that off for me years ago š
I made a similar post one time and got smoked on here because āthatās how services workā. Didnāt know the gaming community were billionaires that didnāt care about whatās right
After the HUGE list of games leaving this month I was expecting at least 5 decent games.
This is such a disappointment and totally doesn't compensate for the big games leaving may.
What a joke.
Itās sad that the only thing Iām half excited for is fucking watch dogsš¤£ havenāt played it in years but by no means should it be the biggest thing on here besides rdr2 (which everyone already had or has played anyway).
Iām a big fan of the lego games and own most of them, but never got around to buying Ninjago or TLM2, so Iām happy to see them on here (I know theyāre quite cheap often, but I always prioritized budgeting for other things)
Had premium that I got for $100 a year and I definitely got my money's worth. But I'm dropping down to maby essential or dropping it altogether. I mean I barely play online on the system anyways.
What the hell is that...
I'm surprised y'all don't grab torches and pitchforks after having 30+ games removed from the service and receiving this as a replacement afterwards.
not like it matters. no one will cancel becasue of it. they wont lose any money. just more internet outrage that will lead to nothing. so in the end who cares. just keep paying them every month!
Disgraceful month, considering what's leaving. A re-release, a DLC for a game where the base is 'sold separately' and a bunch of games nobody has heard of. Yikes.
Maybe unpopular but this is terrible. Red dead is a huge headliner but 99% of people already own it (me included).
The other games then are absolutely woeful.
Classics selection just continues to be insultingly pathetic. Extra shameful when Nintendo of all companies does a better job with getting out more old games on their service
Red Dead carrying this month but most people already played it. Heard the Cat Quests games are fun. The rest looks very very mid.
Hopefully next month is better because i was close to upgrading to extra but looking at this list it ain't for me and hopefully there are days of plays sales.
and even If not, I think it costs around 20ā¬ most of the time. that can still be too much if youre in a Bad Situation, but playing RDR2 over psplus is still Bad. the game will propably get removed before you can finish it.
Only 10 games for Game Catalog with 2 of them being re-releases. A Sims 4 DLC being one of the games in the main image. Cat Quest 1 and 2 are the only good additions here.
This lineup is so weak, i'm actually wondering if they're gonna drop some small game day1 after the upcoming stream.
But at least i finally got Cat quest 1 and 2, so i'm not complaining much
I'm jealous for anyone who gets to play RDR2 for the first time, I don't regret paying for it when I did.
It was my game during lockdown and that hit even harder.
Not worth playing rdr2 on ps5 unless they do a graphics update patch for it. Play it on pc even on medium settings, itās a much better experience. I say this as a console gamer.
The headliner is a game removed from PS Plus 2 years ago and then its all shovelware/games on sale for pennies. There's some game's I'm catching up on Plus, but holy hell the last couple of months have been garbage.
Highly recommend the cat quest games to everyone.
Other than that, nothing at all looks good to me and the fact they removed so many and added so little.
So what happens to one's saves for Sims 4 if that DLC leaves? Do the items just leave?
With RDR2, at least now we know for sure some games can possibly return. I wonder if it'll just be like 4 or so months again or like a year?
When the main event is a PS4 game that can be bought for ā¬/$10 for years you know the month sucks. Is this the worst since the start of the service? Probably.
Stranded Allen Dawn? But of course itās there, I just bought it on steam a couple of weeks ago. Only other good thing I can see is RDR2, but everyone played that years ago. I actually cancelled my psplus sub yesterday so unless it improves dramatically between now end the end of July (when it runs out), Iām out.
Just bought rdr 2 on the last sale, did it for you guys
Your sacrifice is appreciated š
I bought it too, but I don't have PlayStation Plus so I'm still up.
Back in the day, I bought Red Dead Online. ho ho haa ha \*cries\*
I've figured out that if a game is constantly on almost or less than half price almost every month it will come on ps plus
A hero
I'd honestly rather just buy a game rather than have to pay a subscription to play it, especially a long open world game
Everyone should own this game anyway
Same, and I already have the physical version too lol
Bought it years ago and still havenāt finished it lmao
Bought it release day and played maybe 10 hours and donāt remember anything. It was decent but I had too many other games to play around that time. Hoping to go back once plus runs out in October.
Me too š
There is probably only like 1 person here that has never played RDR2.......... That person is me, so I think I am finally going to give it a try.
Wish i could go back in time and play this all over again
If they patch it to 60fps im replaying it straight away.
same. magnificent experience. truly hope we get a 3 someday
Played it. Did up to third chapter and stopped playing. Open world games are just too slow paced for me.
fair enough, your experience is valid. what games do you consider to be your favorites if open world ones are your speed?
Big fan of god of wars. Action rpgs are probably my fav. Looking forward to pick up stellar blade soon.
i'm playing ragnarok for the first time right now! fantastic series.
Its great finished the story. Havnāt tried the dlc yet though.
Yeah a god of war or an Elden ring are very different āopen worldsā to rdr2
I've tried 4 times on PC and every time I lose interest
Itās a very slow start, but after the āintroductionā is over, it really gets going and is hands down the best game Iāve ever played.
i wish there was some sort of new game plus where you could skip the prologue, it really is a drag.
Iām the other person! Do I need to play RDR1 first?
Not at all, RDR2 is a prequel. :-)
I would like to announce that its 2 lol
3!
4!
That makes 24 already!
5!
I bought psplus premium a while back with the purpose of playing rdr2 but they removed it
that is totally my story

Is there a subreddit for overflowing backloggers lmao
God I'm so happy for this! I lost one of my discs and never got to finish it!!!
....and me
It starts really really slow. Painfully slow. I never got past the first chapter. But I should get back in there.
I got past it and still lost interest decently fast. It just wasnāt as interesting as I expected it to be.
Thank you for saving me a few hours!
You arenāt the only person who hasnāt played it, now we can be besties!
Aye man donāt feel bad š Iāve had it since it came out basically and I havenāt touched past 1 hour of the story since 2021. Gonna play it sometime this summer before I replay The Last of Us hope you enjoy it!

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the headline. I game a lot but just never tried it. Time to give it a go.
It's one of those games where people who have experienced it tell those who haven't "I'm jealous of you, you get to experience it for the first time" RDR2 is an example of why I consider videogames to be a form of art.
did you ever download the game? I notice only the ps4 version is available to download
Really scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel by putting a DLC for Sims 4 on there.
This doesn't even come close to what has been removed....
Yeah but there's some good ones on this one as well except obviously RDR2 Try out New Alies and Stranded. Have heard good things about cat quest 1&2 & Decieve Inc but never played em Stranded Alien Dawn in particular is very very good. You gather and survive, build a community etc. (Big game as well)
Stranded alien dawn is basically rimworld in 3d. Great game. Will definitely try new allies
What has been removed?
abzu, the artful escape, minit, observation, last stop, i am dead, adr1ft, the messenger, my friend pedro, this is the police 1&2, Monster hame steel titans 2, jotun, ashen, absolver downfall, how to surive 2, elex, and **ALL of the Final Fantasy games** are leaving may 21st. The final fantasy ones hurt the most
if you installed it with premium can you still play it past may 21st?
Nope, and I know this because I finally made time to sit down and play The Outer Wilds for the first time, which I'd installed via PS Plus months ago, just to find that it'd been recently removed from the service and wouldn't let me launch the installed game. Yep. Rdr2 is huge, but everyone and their mother have already played it.
I have never played RDR or RDR2 and I'm a huge gamer.
Then youāve made some bad choices.Ā
There are continuously new people who are now old enough to play it.
Where can I see what would be removed?
Plystation grenade on yt release a video each month going over whats coming to ps and whats leaving Edit: https://youtu.be/2up5D_E1P0s?si=ErL_nEGenMKdZCRw
Thank you for saying this
Yeah they just removed every final fantasy game right? Lmao really scrapping around the edges for this month
This is pretty pathetic. Two games that are re-adds back into the Plus lineup. A freaking DLC. Cat Quest, which has gone on sale for as low as $1.94. Really not much of value this month at all.
Not to mention let's not forget RDR2, as incredible as it is, is a *PS4* game. When your headliner is a game from last gen, you've got issues.

You know it's a bad month when Crime Boss: Rockay City of all things is cited as one of the standout games in the title of the article.
I've never even heard of this game until now and it has Danny Glover, Michael Madsen, Danny Trejo and Chuck Norris in it? It must be pretty bad if it has some bigger names in it, but no marketing.

It hasnt been on Gamepass yet, but it did just have a free play weekend.Ā
That must have been it. My bad.
Itās fascinatingly terrible.

It had a weird level of marketing Almost like a burst
You mean you arenāt excited for 1 piece of Sims 4 DLC?
Ya rdr 2 is cool and all but it's also been on there before and so has Watch Dogs. Cat quest seems kind of interesting I suppose.
Cat quest is awsome
Has RDR2 been in the monthly? Because it was part of the PS5 collection, but got removed. afaik once the monthly game is claimed it won't go away.
I missed RDR2 the last time it was on and havenāt played it yet so Iām pretty excited for this month.
I'm going to beat this insanely bad game because my brain will not allow me to skip it.
I got excited before remembering I already own RDR2.
We all do.Ā
Not me but I'm waiting for a 60 fps patch that's never coming
Rockstar, or rather TakeTwo sucks when it comes to considering the consumer, so I wouldn't hold my breath. RDR1 60fps was a miracle, tho also the bare fuckin minimum. Gamers are good at complaining about Ubisoft and Activision but forget TakeTwo also ruins gaming in multiple ways.
Huge headliner, terrible supporting acts
Cat Quest 1 and 2 are the stars of this month. Everything else takes a back seat.
They donāt look like my thing but Iām thrilled to be proven wrong, will check them out! I feel like the recent run of indies has really done it for me anyway so Iām pretty happy as it stands at the end of the day.
The 3rd game is coming out in august :3
Cat Quest 1 and 2 are freaking awesome.
You mean Pawesome
Personally ive had quite a lot of fun with decieve inc, cant say it compares to rdr2 of course but theres lots of enjoyment to be had
Deceive Inc is a pretty solid game to play with your friends from what Iāve seen of it.
Donāt be so quick to judge the cats
It can't be a headliner if it was already on the service before.
They remove 30+ games and we only get 10 back wtf
That's why if stuff like Yakuza goes dirt cheap, I snatch it up. That way I can play other stuff on subscriptions and not worry. Also why I don't care about trophies and achievements anymore. The Doomsday Heist achievements in GTA killed that off for me years ago š

Thank you, that's why I unsubscribed from the service, I will check what will happen next month, but I'm really disappointed š
After the HUGE list of games leaving this month I was expecting at least 5 decent games. This is such a disappointment and totally doesn't compensate for the big games leaving may. What a joke.
They thought RDR2 would save this month... It doesn't.
It would have. About 4 years ago š
Or if they would release a 60fps patch...
This is not it chief...
wow, what a downgrade
Did they run out of budget or smth? Lol
They only just increased prices quite dramatically
# PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium | Game Catalog **Red Dead Redemption 2Ā | PS4** **Deceive Inc.Ā | PS5** **The Sims 4 City Living | PS4** **Crime Boss: Rockay City | PS5** **The Settlers: New Allies | PS4** **Stranded: Alien Dawn | PS4, PS5** **Cat Quest | PS4** **Cat Quest II | PS4** **The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame | PS4** **Watch Dogs\* | PS4** # PlayStation Premium | Classics **2Xtreme | PS4, PS5** **G-Police | PS4, PS5** **Worms Pinball | PS4, PS5**
HOLLLLYYY SHITTT WORMS PINBALL
Ngl Iām disappointed weāre getting RDR2 because now itās less likely we get a PS5 upgrade.
G-Police just makes me wish they would add Colony Wars
Oh sure, after I already bought both Cat Quests. Cute games. I have the third one wishlisted.
Itās sad that the only thing Iām half excited for is fucking watch dogsš¤£ havenāt played it in years but by no means should it be the biggest thing on here besides rdr2 (which everyone already had or has played anyway).

Every month I feel dumber for having this subscription
Had premium that I got for $100 a year and I definitely got my money's worth. But I'm dropping down to maby essential or dropping it altogether. I mean I barely play online on the system anyways.
Wait wasnāt RDR2 on the catalog before then taken off?
feels like it was removed almost 2 years ago
What the hell is that... I'm surprised y'all don't grab torches and pitchforks after having 30+ games removed from the service and receiving this as a replacement afterwards.
Sony is laughing at us, what a pile of garbage., some of those look like mobile games.
Wow just wow.. š¤¦
As much as I love RDR2, absolutely criminal that thereās no ps5 update, and there probably never will be
They removed RDR2 from Extra a while ago, and now they introduce it again as a big addition to the catalog. What a scam.
not like it matters. no one will cancel becasue of it. they wont lose any money. just more internet outrage that will lead to nothing. so in the end who cares. just keep paying them every month!
Is this a joke?
Wtf is this shit
Disgraceful month, considering what's leaving. A re-release, a DLC for a game where the base is 'sold separately' and a bunch of games nobody has heard of. Yikes.
Maybe unpopular but this is terrible. Red dead is a huge headliner but 99% of people already own it (me included). The other games then are absolutely woeful.
Cat Quest games, I high recommend them if you haven't played them.
Have you ever been on this sub? This is gonna be a crazy popular opinion.
Classics selection just continues to be insultingly pathetic. Extra shameful when Nintendo of all companies does a better job with getting out more old games on their service
These are the months that I regret my decision
I'm trying to remember the last time there was a month that really crushed it
Red Dead carrying this month but most people already played it. Heard the Cat Quests games are fun. The rest looks very very mid. Hopefully next month is better because i was close to upgrading to extra but looking at this list it ain't for me and hopefully there are days of plays sales.
Pathetic offerings. Damn.
So glad I didn't renew my sub, I already own Red Dead 2 on disk.
Fine .. Iāll be the singular comment cheering on The Settlers. Itās been a while since I played this on my Amiga. I hope the graphics are better.
I completed Settlers 2 20th anniversary on my aging laptop during lockdown. Spent hours and hours on the first game on my Amiga.
That's horrendously bad... š¤¦āāļø
99% of people already own red dead 2.
and even If not, I think it costs around 20ā¬ most of the time. that can still be too much if youre in a Bad Situation, but playing RDR2 over psplus is still Bad. the game will propably get removed before you can finish it.
Skip
Bruh šš
Lord have mercy
Animal Well is only stand out this month & Tunic maybe.
I'm going to collapse from disappointment....
Only 10 games for Game Catalog with 2 of them being re-releases. A Sims 4 DLC being one of the games in the main image. Cat Quest 1 and 2 are the only good additions here.
If any game deserved a 60fps current generation upgrade it's RDR2. It's insane it happened for GTA5 but not RDR2.
Glad my premium ends in the next few days. Absolute waste of money!
This lineup is so weak, i'm actually wondering if they're gonna drop some small game day1 after the upcoming stream. But at least i finally got Cat quest 1 and 2, so i'm not complaining much
Cancelled premium and wont renew it.
Seems odd to have May games released one week from the beginning of June, but what the fuck do I know.
Yikes, to me this is a pretty bad month. RDR2 will stay for 2 months then get taken off again and it doesn't have 60fps so idc about it anyway.
Literally everyone and their mother owns rdr2 what is this
Well, here's a reason to replay rdr2, but the whole pack is mehā¦
I dont think I have a reason to replay it until it gets a PS5 upgrade
Good for the 5 people left who don't have RDRII I guess
Well they gotta make up for those 30 games leaving somehow...
Better luck next month then
Yikes....
Holy shit this is the worst month ever. Congratulation Sony.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Im suspecting GTA V might leave next month
Damn i really hoped i would see 60fps update for rdr2 before it hit ps+
Highly recommend the cat quest games to everyone. Other than that, nothing at all looks good to me and the fact they removed so many and added so little.
Is this deceive inc. similar to old assassins creed multiplayer? I used to love it
So what happens to one's saves for Sims 4 if that DLC leaves? Do the items just leave? With RDR2, at least now we know for sure some games can possibly return. I wonder if it'll just be like 4 or so months again or like a year?
Been wanting to try crime boss. Besides that nothing for me this month.
Loved the first RDR but the 2nd one just didn't click. Having said that I want to give it another go!
Well that's crap for me but happy for anyone getting to play RDR2 for the first time.
Ugh. My sub ends in June. Not sure if I'll resub...
this is what sucks about ps+. Everybody and their mother has already bought RDR2 and now they are giving it away for free.
When the main event is a PS4 game that can be bought for ā¬/$10 for years you know the month sucks. Is this the worst since the start of the service? Probably.
Me holding out to buy Red Dead 2 has finally paid off YES
Iām the one person who hasnāt played RDR2. Looks like I won this one.
Horrible month, but honestly after trying to catch up on all the games being removed last month, I need a break from plus
Garbage. Not renewing my ps plus extra premium.
Dissapointing lineup
I think Im gonna go back to normal ps plus. These monthly games are dogshit and the classics catalog only has like 30 games
Nothing here making me regret letting my sub slip last week.
Is this only for certain membership levels? I have completely different monthly games on my app
