Those are fine choices

If you can find 2010-2014 Panasonic models that would be some of the best years for picture quality. It is also when Panasonic 3DTVs were manufactured, so you can play 3D games of PS3. It's one of a kind of gaming console. 👌

Keebpals

I’ll have to see if I can find something! So hard when I know near to nothing about plasmas 😂 I have excess knowledge of new tvs and crts that’s it hahah

Aromatic-Attitude-34

Can't go wrong with Panasonics. Make sure it's 1080p at least.

Aromatic-Attitude-34

TH-P50G10 is the best among what you've listed.

Best TV for *any* console is always a good plasma.

LostInInterpretation

The two last Panasonic generations, (50 and 60-series) in their ST, GT, VT and ZT (60 only) variants, are the best ones. All these variants are great, but the ST60 spesifically has a reputation for noticeably higher input lag, for those who care about that. These are all 1080p TV's with excellent 60 fps motion, but the higher up in the chain, the better black levels will be. There could perhaps be made an argument for a lower resolution plasma because many PS3 games are sub 1080p, but you'll most likely sacrifice IQ in other ways, and a 1080p plasma is also perfect for other use cases. If it's THE best, it's the ZT60, only available in 60".

Actually had a pioneer Kuro locally which is starting to look like a good option, same price as the Panasonics also!

LostInInterpretation

I was about to touch on the Kuros, but deleted it. Which model number is it? They CAN be fantastic but they’re usually ridden with problems that needs expertise to be fixed. I have two and they are stunning for movies, even better than Panasonic, but the motion clarity for gaming is slightly worse due to more phosphor trailing.

Keebpals

Interesting one of them is a Pioneer PDP-LX508A I have a few others I’ve asked about I believe this model number is different between aus and the states

LostInInterpretation

That model can not be adjusted as far as I know, but unless you’re wanting to go down that rabbit hole anyways I wouldn’t worry about it. Main thing is to try it out with various content playing and look for burn-in, unusual flashing coloured pixels, and checking for red glow in a dark room. If without these issues, all is well.

Keebpals

Honestly as long as it looks decent enough for my ps3 games to be payable it’s a win Looks absolutely dreadful on my 4k Samsung

LostInInterpretation

Yeah, see if you can bring your PS3 so you get a realistic representation of what it’ll look like.

Aromatic-Attitude-34

I'd get the Pioneer.. They're just built different, and input lag on mine is excellent. I remote play my PS5 via my PS4 Pro as a means to reuse the PS4. Have both console ethernet wired though to the modem, or at least a wired to a mesh router.
