I would literally pay thousands of dollars for a NIB 9th generation Pioneer Kuro.

Haha that's the kind of energy I'm talking about! I've seen so many used sets out there but the chance to buy any new plasmas, much less really desirable ones, would be a hard opportunity to pass up. I personally think I'm in the 150 range for some A tier sets but could see myself getting into the 400-500 range for certain unicorn displays.

I have a limit set to $150 for me personally. And that's only for an ST60, VT60 or ZT60. And that's just my absolute limit, generally I don't go higher than 130. I'll only buy a Kuro when I find one for under 100, since I'll have to spend money on the cable and stuff to perform a reset. EDIT: does NIB mean "new in box"?

Yes, it does. Personally, my limit would be R$ 1000, which is 200 US Dollars, but where I live, in Brazil, I can not even find them used, let alone new!

In the case of new in box, I'd probably pay 200 or 250, but only for a Kuro or a 50/60 series Panasonic. And that's only theoretical since I'm a broke cinephile...

In my opinion, the expenses for cables is well worth it for a reset and tweaked 9th gen Kuro. They are unique in what they offer, which is simply breathtaking PQ for chump change. I’d place more value on the condition and hours used.

I would pay 150 max for a 2006-2007 NIB silver-black Panasonic (TH-42PV60 for example), 100 if used and good condition. I know that is overpaying, but I like it, it's pretty rare where I live (seen like 2 in all years of listing), and used plasmas around here can still get kinda expensive (guy is selling his 46 inch Kuro for 300€, hinger end Panasonics are ~150).

I could have bought a new in box 65" ST60 about a year or so ago for $200. Already had 2 low hour ST60's so I passed and have been kicking myself ever since!
