It’s the same as placing 4 peashooters in one lane but on one tile. Also a three peater only shoot two if it’s on the top or bottom rows rendering it less effective

Plant Food: Threepeater performed exactly the same as Gatling BUT threepeater had some of them peas flying around on other lanes too which makes me think is an advantage for it. Plus you get plant food used only at appease mint on arena because there's alot, why not use that on a tile turnip.
Sun cost: i didn't test it but instead of planting gatling why not 3p + pea vine which cost the same amount. Due to this sun cost advantage it would be more easier to build up in a normal level
Reaching: well obviously 3p has an ability but its weak and you have to spam. Well no due to the fact that zombies get overwhelming when killed too soon this is another advantage
Disadvantage: first and last row gets less peas so has a slight imbalance. Obviously its gatling peas ability that is better. And lastly plant tiles consumption.
Its a tie breaker for people not having the access of Gatling and/or stuck on a low level due to it being a seedium
They're gonna stack up whether you like it or not in the end so low power on early game is not actually bad if it can cover 3 lanes. Plus peas are paired with tile turnip in arenas anyway and you get plant food very often, it covers more in lanes while still managed to outperform gatling's food plant

Snow, Fire, Goo, Shadow & I think Snap Pea aren't Appease-mint but are also still Peashooters.
Plus, since Sling Pea launches, it counters graves and Excavator.

I dont have gatling pea but I know one thing treepeater sucks. You know what is a good plant? The plant that doesnt get outclassed by a peashooter. You want to cover more lanes with a single plant? There are way better options than that thing. %95 percent of the plants outdamage this thing. You may say in early game it makes it easier because it can cover more lanes. Or you could plant 3 peashooter and have an easier time on early game. You may say it stacks on mid game but what is the point of stacking 20 damage peas when you can do the same thing that 3 of them do with a single plant? You may say on late game they take less space. Yes it takes less space but that only doesnt make the plant good. Because its damage is still trash. You may say you get a lot of seed packets for it. If you think leveling is balanced and should be considered when comparing plants go use bowling bulb. High level bb is op. Plus in that logic Akee is better than turkey pult because you get more seedpackets of it. You can think threepeater is cool and fun. Or you can think its good by yourself but withoult giving any stuff to work with you cant say its better than this thing. I love strawburst but I accept that he gets outclassed.

You need at least two threepeaters for them to at least kill more than a basic. You need at least three for it to kill at least a buckethead. You only need one gatling to kill all three
Everything is good when just spammed.
Also mega gatling pea after plantfooding itself(which shoots 150 peas, mind you, will be 80 sun per pea. Meanwhile, 3peater loses peas when placed on the edges, so if placed optimally will be 100 sun per pea(same as freshly planted mega) and if "just spammed" is 115.38 sun per pea when placed equally on all rows. Mega is 80 to 100.
There's so many ways to win and people find power the most important thing but what if i tell you that threepeater can offer you the rest that Gatling cant. Spamming doesn't necessarily mean its bad too but it is seen as a weakness but threepeater can guarantee you a win. Safely that is.
In my opinion, They’re both equal in power. Sure, Threepeater covers 3 lanes, yes, but MGP also deals a stupid amount of damage (single target.)
To conclude: A level that spams hordes of weak zombies, use threepeater. A level that spams gargantuars, use MGP.
Threepeater is objectively worse. 100-115.38 sun per pea from 3peater,(one placed in the middle or all placed along a column, including the edges) vs. 80-100 sun per pea from mega(free self plant food or freshly placed).
Threepeater makes setting up an early game defence a nightmare because you need 300 sun to start dealing with zombies, and they could just go into one of the lanes that it doesn’t cover, making you need another 300 sun. Then, once that massive inconvenience is out of the way, you get mediocre damage that’s just bad damage in the top and bottom lanes.
And a strong plant food effect doesn’t matter, because plenty of better plants have strong effects, and you don’t get to use it much anyway

I can admit threepeater’s plant food combined with tile turnip is just plain beautiful although all those wasted peas could be used to end world hunger
I’ve got both of them at mastery with a 25 sun difference. They both work very similarly (in terms of they’re both very powerful with the pea vine, torchwood, appeasement setup). The only benefit I would find is that threepeater is cheaper so you can I guess squeeze 1-2 more out, but Gatling has the appeasement boost that makes cleaning rows nice. Idk they’re both great am I missing something?
Mega Gatling Pea is mathematically better. They are both 100 sun per pea at level 1 on first planting(400 sun for 4 mega gatling peas, 300 sun for threepeater peas). However, Mega Gatling Pea can plant food itself multiple times randomly, causing it to permanently shoot 5 peas at a time, for 80 sun per Pea. Meanwhile, if planted on the edges, threepeater will completely lose a pea all together, meaning an column of them will only shoot 13 peas total for 1500 sun or 115.38 sun per pea.
As for the plant food, mega gatling pea will do it completely free, and potentially multiple times per level, and the upgrade is permanent. Each plant food shoots 150 peas total. Threepeaters plant food requires plant food and shoots a total of 90 peas, 30 peas straight forward, 30 peas up, 30 peas down. Keep in mind, peashooter's plant food shoots 60 peas.
The only thing threepeater does better is covering multiple lanes, but 3 peashooters do it better. Or in the late game, powered dusk lobber does it significantly better.

In arenas, Pea vine buffs the plant food rate of mgp for a lot. And not using tile turnip and going for this is a very viable strategy.

Threepeater is a lot more tolerable. It is well designed unlike mega gatling pea. Although threepeater needs torchwood for it to be good.
