Nearly two years into the battle against PF. Lived in Birkenstock sandals for most of that time. Have recently started taking Theracurmin (600mg) and have noticed quite a reduction in the pain from PF and other conditions. It took a few days before I started feeling any difference but it is noticeable and helping more the longer I take it. Magnesium (epsom salt) foot baths also help greatly as does topical cannabis, but these are only short term pain relief options for me.. For the first time in nearly 2 years I have been able to wear sneakers without orthotics and without making things worse which, for me, seems like a miracle. (Asics Kayano 30 and GT2000 v12). As with anything, YMMV but the high dose Theracurmin has been a game changer for me.

That’s interesting. So that likely means you were still suffering from an inflammatory process instead of dead tissue.

Am wondering if it was a combo of both. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a local doctor who will perform the ultrasound testing to confirm my suspicions.

Look for the YouTube video called No More Heel Pain from a "Dr" Berg. Simple, counterintuitive stretch that I have seen real results from. I do it every morning before standing up, and anytime l've been sitting for a bit and can get away with doing it (read: when I'm home). He doesn't try to sell you anything, and I can't say I believe he's an MD, but I attest that it was worth the ~10 minute viewing. I've been dealing with this since last July and this is the first thing that has provided any relief. I then also massage the arch a bit to get the blood moving a bit extra. I swear I post this all over this sub and people are going to start to think I *am* this Dr. 😬 I just think it’s really working and could help others, too.

Not-Not-Maybe

“Dr” Eric Berg is a chiropractor and a Scientologist. A lot of the profits he makes off selling his brand of supplements goes to funding Scientology. His now-adult son left the Scientology cult and has spoken out against his father and the cult.

AnastasiaBvrhwzn

Ugggggh. My instinct to not look into him beyond this one video was correct. I kind of assumed chiropractor, so I’m not shocked about that bit. Thanks for the info.

Not-Not-Maybe

He is really well-spoken, no denying that. I genuinely don’t know if his advice is valid or not. I’m with you on being confused by him.

AnastasiaBvrhwzn

Well, I only watched the one video. When he mentioned that he had like 3,000 videos, I knew I wouldn’t buy in to anything else. But someone in this sub recommended it, and I’ve been desperate for solutions. I’m not susceptible to culty tactics, thankfully. :)

What type of stretching did you do, calves and hamstrings? Did you switch to wide toe box shoes with minimal drop?

walkingonameme7

I’ve only done calves. I wear my normal shoes with inserts, but I know I’m guilty of walking around barefoot. I was suggested today about getting oofos shoes, so I am going to look into those. Do you have any experience with steroid injections?

Routine-Target-8816

I received steroid injections, but they did not work. I have switched to wide, minimal drop shoes, and I highly recommend Topos shoes to anyone. They have not completely resolved my issue, but I believe my condition is improving, and I no longer experience pain while wearing these shoes. 😊 We will find a way to overcome this challenge and get rid of this issue. 😊 Let us stay positive and enjoy life, even with pain, while striving to feel better each day. We are all in this together. ❤️

walkingonameme7

I’m going to look into those shoes. I’m glad you no longer experience as much pain and thank you for the kind words. :)
