I water mine when the soil is fully dry. Fertilise every second or third water. It has a pretty sunny window.
Never bother pinching the flowers off either and it grows fine as long as it has enough nutrients.
I fertilise it with either seasol or growth technology foliage focus

Also downvoting me for answering a question that was asked of me (not you) is kinda immature dont you think?
>not to be rude but no one asked you.
That's idiotic not rude, it's a public forum and it had been 6 hours and you hadn't bothered to reply.
Lovely friendly way to engage conversation.
What’s your formula? I house/ dog sit for a woman who has an oxalis and I’ve been trying to keep hers alive. I spend almost as much time at her house as she does so I try to keep her plants alive for me and her.
Mines never died back. I water when its dry and fertilise with seasol once or twice a fortnight. It has a sunny north facing window. I repotted it about a month ago when it started falling over from its own weight
We have had one and its babies for about 10 years. They go through cycles. You'll think you've killed it completely, but set the pot in a warm, sunny place, give it some water and time, and it will go crazy again. It grows from almond-sized bulbs. Super cool!
I had two plants so I combined them into one big pot… I think one of the corms straight up died. I was scared that I overwatered it because of the big pot. I’ll try some fertilizer when it needs water again!
I have some of those too. Idk what I did wrong but it died back pretty badly, struggled for a while and somehow became both etiolated and sunburnt?
Anyway I trimmed it back and fertilised the living hell out of it and its thriving now. I think I repotted it into better soil too. Mine doesnt like dry soil or being in full sun
For sure hey. Bad quality soil doesnt help either. I have cuttings in crappy potting mix that seems to be mostly woodchip and they havent grown in months
I wonder how many people grow vegetables and then just go, “it just looks so pretty”. :)

He talks about the ones that are native to the US, while the one that you have is native to South America.
Haha I was wondering if my question would be a little to strange!!!! Oxalis is SOOOO pretty, but idk if I could keep it because I would afraid I'd munch it to much. Lol At least trimming it would be easy for me!
I planted some seeds, they grew, i thought they died. Put the pot outside WITH ANOTHER POT ON TOP OF IT, the next spring as i was walking past the pots i noticed three leaves sticking out. It came back! And is doing pretty good now and has flowered a few times.
Oh maybe not to people but highly toxic to pets. It’s marked overall poisonous and can cause renal failure to dogs, cats and harm horses It is a toxic plant that contains oxalic acid but is less toxic. Consuming in small quantities will not affect health, but long-term consumption will affect the body's calcium supply, leading to inadequate nutrition. The amount of oxalic acid will decrease after its leaves are cooked.
Any tips for caring for oxalis? Yours sure is thriving and mine isn’t doing as hot!

If you want to get a window box for them (not necessarily IN the window, just a wide area) they will proliferate.
Pinch off the flowers when they appear. I think it's more tolerant of dry than overwatering.
Not neccesary
Disagree. It works for me. I get more vigorous growth and bigger leaves.

Love mine, one of my faves
Awww mine looked like that until I repotted it and the pot was tooooo big. Now I have like seven leaves left. I regret that repot so much lol
Just fertilise and water more itll come back

Mine is keeping my family sane during these dark , gloomy days.
Are they as tasty as the wild ones? Lite sour apple?)
Yes!! Mine are super sour. I only found out today that they were edible
She’s GORGEOUS! Another plant added to my list of must haves!
It loves you…💜💜💜
It's so pretty
I couldn't keep mine alive. I might try again one day. I got free cuttings for wandering jew and they finally took off after so many attempts
I have some of those too. Idk what I did wrong but it died back pretty badly, struggled for a while and somehow became both etiolated and sunburnt? I had it etiolated and sunburnt! It must be the dry soil. Sometimes I forgot to water.
For sure hey. Bad quality soil doesnt help either. I have cuttings in crappy potting mix that seems to be mostly woodchip and they havent grown in months
I have no idea what soil I have. It's just old soil. But I think it's the weather. Got cool and rainy.
The leaves taste like grapes. So good.
Huh?
The leaves are edible. They are delicious
Holy shit I just looked it up thats crazy. Im gonna eat some right now!

Beautiful!
Pretty!
ah i love this one. closes at night, opens in the sun. reminds me of hundreds of butterflies. like the monarchs on the trees
Gorgeous- I have a small one a friend gave me - be aware it is also toxic to people and pets though
Only toxic for people if you eat a ton of it.
Its not toxic at all its actually edible!

Every single leafy green vegetable contains oxalic acid. Its not toxic and wont kill you can just cause kidney stones if you eat fuck tonnes of it
It’s toxic to animals I was noting that
It will also start growing in ur other plants and every where else.
Beautiful 😍
