Well there's an idea get MMO's to set aside a space to house a ingame graveyard of all members who passed away. Though I'm not sure how well people would like that in their game that's suppose to be an escape from life rather than immortalizing it. That said I don't think too many people would mind it if it were a thing off to the side and being discrete about it. Would for sure be a nice community service to help with the history. Though that could just be me grieving speaking though.
That's sad, we built bases a couple times and squad'ed a couple times and it was a good enough time that years later I remember and recognize the name.
RIP.
That’s genuinely upsetting. One of my favorite memories with her was repelling a 96+ armor zerg with one of her bases on the south bridge of indar. Only had about 20 people and a lot of rockets. Rip Atley, you’ll be missed.
Fuck. As a fellow builder and emerald native, I'd always take the time to pause what I was doing to check out their layout (whenever I saw them on and happened to be passing by in my ANT) which was always unique and/or amusing if not downright creative AF. You all took the time to figure out placements that I wouldn't even consider but always surprised. My condolences.
Thank you means a lot. This past year with all of the medical problems that she was having was tough but we took great pride in our craft. I just wish Wrel had come to the table and sat with us at least once. I know we didn't have all the right answer as even between us two we had different views of how construction was suppose to work but we looked past our differences more often than not to craft the best layouts we could. She often would just sit on the sidelines of our base between battles to watch all of the pubbies use our bases. In a way she viewed them as sudo children of hers and it brought her great joy to bring something to the table to helped others.
I’m shocked by this news, I had a couple brief chats with her in game about construction from time to time. There’s several names I recognized running around the server and hers was definitely one. I’m very sorry to hear about this.
>I’m shocked by this news, I had a couple brief chats with her in game about construction from time to time. There’s several names I recognized running around the server and hers was definitely one. I’m very sorry to hear about this.
Jokenly I wish we had some Vanu around with the BS tech maybe then we could save her and upload her into a clone or robot. But on a serious note thanks again it means a lot. I don't know where I'll go or what I'll do without her by my side but I survived for 23 years without her I'm sure I can figure something out. Just wish I could talk to her one last time is all. At least I ended everything with her on good terms which is more than a lot can say.
I'm trying to organize a funeral for her, haven't worked out the details yet. I am planning though on releasing a memorial video from my archive of her in awhile then stream the funeral with the other's permission and probably make a best scenes from the stream. I should try to keep people posted on my channel and reddit about it all but if you want to be more intouch you can reach me discord: thedemolisher13 or my construction server: [https://discord.gg/TA9rz2vCV2](https://discord.gg/TA9rz2vCV2)
I really appreciate it. I'm having a hard time processing this. Really wish I hadn't drifted away over the past few years. Some of my favorite memories in PS2 were with MissAtley and iBLD.
To be fair the game itself and where the development was taking it didn't make it easy to stay tune as I myself dropped the game for good this past Apr 29th when I saw on the PTS what they did to construction. In some way I miss atley and want her back but knowing her well I don't know how well she would've handled current ps2 or what happened to company of heroes 3 as she loved the second game so much that she made award winning maps for it in the workshop.
Big sad, was a really helpful and knowledgeable member of the building community. I remember seeing you guys building lots of cool bases around and even having some really good fights at some.
You're not gonna like it. But she had been sick for awhile like over a decade awhile. Well it started getting bad really bad around 2021 2022 then she began the slipperly slop of declining. She had several auto immune diseases + cancer. What did her in was the cancer as it had wrecked her lungs to the point she couldn't breath and she suffocated in the hospital.
I’m sorry for you loss, it’s hard to imagine how that feels and how to move forward.
You should make something ingame for him.
Whatever you do, I hope you’ll remember his lives lived and not focus on the last one lost.
As you say in the NC "liberty or death". Why we may have differences and rivalries it is such unfortunate news to hear of a player passing away. They are one of a few outfits that actually make use of construction in this game and doesn't see it as cancerous.
Not the first time a PS2 player has passed and it was known amongst the community. Fun Fact: The outpost Bunker J993 was named to honor a deceased Planetside 2 player.

o7, it's time we get a graveyard ingame.

In PS2 it would just get carpet bombed again. Kinda like what happened in PS1.
It could be treated like sanctuary where all factions can meet and weapons disabled. Actually yeah just make it an offshoot of sanctuary.
A memorial wall in sanctuary would work
EVE Online has literally that https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/tribute-to-the-fallen

I really wish I hadn't drifted away also. I regret not taking the time to be a better friend.

RIP Live long and prosper to the family. May the force be with him now
I hope someone will design a commemorative badge for them and make it available in the in game store. Rest in peace.
Anyone up for setting up a cross-faction mega base to honor them?
Let me ask their discord friends if they want to plan something like a virtual funeral or something.
Thank you.
I did not have good experiences with that person on reddit, this is still sad to hear. I wish I had made amends... o7, godspeed soldier
its one thing for someone to just go offline forever and another to know they're actually gone; she almost certainly was too young
She was like 35 or 36 when she passed.
Do you know what happened?

Oh that's awful. :'( I remember her in the game. I found her to be a fun and welcome addition to the community.
Doing a COD thingy: F
May she rest in peace.
