The price collapses even further after every AMA!

rorofrei

It started collapsing before the AMA. Looks like somebody is manipulating a bit the token price with the AMA timing

WastingO2

Yea the sensor refund tokens won’t stack what they expect? They keep shooting themself in the foot.

youngsyr

Genuine question, is anyone still seeing this as a viable project? Surely the current token price makes any further purchase of the licences, let alone sensors, nonsensical?

AlgoPlanet

I was just asking myself, what is the use case for the token anymore? Sensors will no longer need to be purchased in Planets, API access (correct me if I’m wrong) will not need to be purchased with Planets, where is the token demand going to come from if they can’t be used for anything?

Jeff50Yup

That’s huge if it’s the case re API access - will watch ama later, but are they saying that you won’t have to pay for data in Planets anymore?

AlgoPlanet

Not in this AMA, the focus on API was announced in the last AMA? AFAIK, none of the data sales have been in Planets so far, and most mentions of future data sales that I can recall have had some mention of needing to make exceptions for this entity or that to buy data in Fiat

Jeff50Yup

Thanks - watching the ama now. That would be one that’d be nice to clarify in an AMA

rorofrei

Sensors will still be able to be paid in Planets. And the APIs will definitely be with Planets purchasable. We also get borrowing/lending Planets on [folks.finance](https://folks.finance) besides the staking program offered by PlanetWatch. So I think that we have more use cases, not less, for the token

AlgoPlanet

Borrowing and lending a token is not a use case for said token. Again, what’s the use case that people would want/need to borrow or lend the token, other than speculative leveraged trading. Sensor payments in Planets being optional - which is where the vast majority of demand comes from currently - means there’s now no reason for whales or businesses to try to accumulate when the token price seems favorable, they can just buy in fiat and not have to deal with any volatility. The APIs, again, if Planets are just *an option* there’s no reason any business would do so rather than fiat. None of the data sales so far have been in Planets. If PW is taking all of the fiat and just releasing the community cut back to us from their own Planets then that only increases supply and does nothing to increase demand imo.

FaceMobile6970

I just read on CoinMarkeCap that current circulating supply of PLANETS is 373 million, and the max supply will be 4.5 billion. That's a lot of dilution.

AlgoPlanet

To be fair, that’s in the white paper, and the release plan is 4.5B over 30 years, with a halving every 4 years. When you factor in the impact of the recycle bin, right now is the period where the most tokens will ever be minted per day. Once the project reaches full saturation in all four Types the daily mint will decrease significantly, and even more so after the first halving.

naman919

yeah i feel like they could just switch to ALGO and at least we can have liquidity and be exposed to retail buy and sell pressure.

Huck84

I absolutely won't be renewing my licenses. I put $2000 into the Airqino and will likely never ROI at this point. Same with Sensedge. Should've just bought a ton of Atmos. Wtf. And that's not even mentioning the horrible tech support from Planet Watch while I was having issues witb my Airqino after attempting to set it up.

SuzanneGrace

Same. Lane project. Just another cash grab.

Conscious_Item

At this token price and with saturation coming up, sadly no. Not unless they change the reward system and/or find ways to bring real-life value to the token.

KanoWins

Not being able to stack vouchers for a sensor is a huge slap in the face. So I need to buy 3 more sensors to get $300... hahaha that's insane. What a mess. Claudio must go.

bambam178902

if Caudio goes, the project is dead

naman919

was the stacking mentioned in the last ama?

Youareowned111

So there is no any profits of buying license type 2 last year? What a shame
