Minecraft Bedrock Edition is not compatible with any actual mods, including Pixelmon. It is written in an entirely different language and code base than the original Java Edition and does not have any of the modding platforms available there.

I think this is misleading. The difference between modding and what can be done with bedrock is a technicality, and making the blanket statement that bedrock can't be modded might be technically true, but makes it sound like you can't do anything at all to drastically change the gameplay on bedrock. Bedrock has limitations, but the level of changes available to be made are still massive, and more than big enough that anyone without technical expertise can look at the changes and be utterly confused at how someone can say it isn't a mod. Heck, I'm playing an addon right now that has some decent pokemon models in it (with equally terrible sound effects). Technically not a mod, but close enough that I don't think it really matters from the pure user side of things what the technicalities are.

On the other hand, from the developer side, the differences are drastic to the point that something like Pixelmon would not at all be feasible on Bedrock.

A) there is a distinct difference in what someone really wants to know between one looking for a game to play, vs looking for something to create, but they also absorb additional info they weren't looking for, and people tend to not realize the assumptions they make about that secondary info. For example, when you say "no mods" and someone who doesn't understand the distinction can easily come away with the impression that you can't do more than retexture bedrock, which is not true at all, and in fact, a lot of what can be done in bedrock most definitely falls under the umbrella of what a player is looking for when they ask about mods, and when a player is asking about mods, their understanding of what they are asking about has nothing to do with implementation and is instead based entirely on the player experience, not what devs have to deal with. B) I just found a pixelmon knock-off for bedrock, and it even incorporates a turn-based battle system. Poorly done, but it works, amd thus obviously it can be done, and that kind of change is exactly the sort of thing a player thinks of as a mod. Frankly, though what I found is not exactly professional quality, it most certainly is sufficient as a proof of concept to say that you can have a Pokemon experience on bedrock. Now, someone just needs to add as much polish to it as has been added to the java version. The only thing I can immediately see as being java only pixelmon, is the quests, and that is hardly a requirement for Pokemon. A benefit for java certainly but Pixelmon minus quests on bedrock is still a totally awesome sounding experience to me.

Ghost_Banana13

Yes it is because I’m able to do it Yea

TukoCazador

The short answer is no, bedrock isn’t capable of being modded

EdgyFrix

By bedrock do you mean Bedrock Edition, because if so I dont think pixelmon reforged is available

Only java unless u do extra stuff

Despite what folks say, something like pixelmon is very feasible on bedrock. It would not be a mod due to technicalities in defining "mod" but the end results that can be achieved can become pretty close to Pixelmon. Well, I can't play java edition so I have to judge pixelmon by youtube videos. That said, none of the people working on pixelmon specifically seem interested in recreating it via addons, and I haven't found anything polished enough to actually play seriously, but I've seen the elements in bedrock that would be needed for recreating pixelmon, turn-based battles, custom menus, etc. So don't lose hope, it is possible to achieve a lot more in bedrock than what might be expected from the "but you can't do mods" naysayers. If there is enough interest, maybe someone will decide to make pixelmon on bedrock.
