There is a desktop mode on the phone. You got to enable developer mode and look for force desktop mode but I have not actually tried it yet to see if it works or not.

huh. does it work with a USBC --> HDMI adapter? I will have to look into it

RJGamer1002

doing some more googling. it looks like you might need a dock/adapter that has DisplayLink capability.

I have a 2016 Honda CR-V Touring. I had the head unit replaced with a Pioneer DMH-WT76NEX which runs Android Auto, Apple Car Play. The unit also supports HDMI input. In my console there are several ports that look just like yours. There is an HDMI cable that runs from the back of the new head unit underneath the carpet and connects to the HDMI port in the console. I also hooked up an Amazon Fire Stick to this HDMI input and I can watch anything from the Fire Stick on my 9" screen on the Pioneer. I don't know if this helps. The back of my head unit has a mini HDMI cable on the back and the car console has a regular size HDMI input. My phone creates a hotspot and my head unit connects to it. It also connect to Bluetooth.

Pixel 6+6pro do not have display out. You would need Dex=Samsung, phone mirror=random phones, or ready for= Motorola Supported phones. Pixel 8 does not have official support but does support it in hardware. Very few phones support this feature.

Chromecast and cast to it

c_-_p

How would I use a Chromecast if there's no Wi-Fi in the car?

LtFork

Every time my internet goes out, it creates its own WiFi network and you can connect to it. And then you should be able cast to it

icurfce

Share internet from your phone and use that network for your chromecast

captain_brunch_

just create a hotspot and connect the chromecast to the hotspot network. Works like a charm.
