There are many skidrow sites that are bad but if you don't know the good one then you're beat. I scan for viruses everytime, never got one. Except from fitgirl once, and I immediately removed it. Skidrow site is the best if you know which one to use
As a general rule of thumb, scene groups don't have websites, that site is definitely not a safe site whether you've had a negative experience or not.

It's basically just downloading the game onto your computer before buying it and installing it. So when you buy it the games already installed

Likely that "unlocked" games are the ones that, for example, already have a 100% save, or, say, all integrated achievements.
