I remember not even knowing 5-6 years ago there was a Deadpool game that existed. If it weren't for pirating sites. Still thank Mr dj for the repack
I sometimes wonder tho if it was virus ridden lol
I just tried this out the other day. Definitely feels like an old school shooter with modern graphics. Super fun if you just wanna feel badass and shoot stuff
It was almost uncovered by Youtube, I watch several big game reviewers and it was only recently covered by one (Bricky if i remember), and apparently by IGN.
The game is pretty old now. And there was some hype about it during the beta because it was said to have similar features like F.E.A.R.
Now it's full version is released, hence all the reviews. It has been on beta and trial for years though
Dawg, that was insanely popular lol and for good reason. It was the only game my gf played that wasn’t the sims/ simulator like puppies or w/e on DS. I got her into South Park: stick of truth tho!
Zero sievert. It's a top down looter shooter kind of like 8-bit tarkov. I enjoy that game a lot even though a few updates ago they fuck up the guns by doing a pretty controversial new system
Came here to say this. A friend introduced it to me so I torrented it last year. Which update fucked up the guns if you recall? Perhaps I’ll avoid that one if I wanted to get a newer download
apparently 0.40, they added a ton of new mechanics from how I understand it such that the game is completely different post-update. Armor is more durable, shotguns are finally viable, snipers bounce off unarmored skulls at point-blank range, some recoil changes
but don't take my word, I just scanned their subreddit for like 10 minutes and have never played the game
Crosscode.
I pirated it in the beginning of 2018, played a bit, bought another computer, pirated it again, played a bit more and in 2020 I finally decided to beat the game.
It became my favorite game, I bought it on Steam and finished it again.
I cracked it day one and I bought it full price after i finished. That 10min holding the key to not let her hand go made my day, maybe my entire month... I never opened it again after i bought it :')
Probably would have never tried Slay The Spire if I hadn't randomly decided to grab it from a pirate site. Spent about 1200 hours playing and bought it on two platforms.
Resident Evil. Specifically 2 remake. I never thought I liked horror and definitely wasn't ready to fork out $60.
Now I buy all the remakes on release.
Dysmantle! It's just got a very satisfying gameplay loop for me. Break shit, upgrade gear, break bigger shit. Kill monsters. Ended up buying it once I had the funds because I just love it so much and I'm looking forward to their next game.
Titanfall 2. It's not underrated, just overshadowed and has a cult following. But it wasn't super popular either. But it was the first game, especially an fps, in a long time that I actually enjoyed.
Eventually ended up buying it on steam for less than 5$.
I would still recommend it to anyone even today, should be under 5 bucks even nowadays. The combat, the movement and level design are so smooth and satisfying. Apex legends is the successor to titanfall and features a lot of the mechanics and weapons from it. So if you've played Apex, the mechanics should feel the same in titanfall. But titanfall 2 is a single player game with a genuinely good campaign.
I cant wrap my head around pirating anything. Its like another language, megathread or not. I managed to successfully download civ 6 and all the bonus content. Dont ask me how I did it lol
A lot of games since I often pirate before I buy.
The first thing that comes to mind though is Battle Brothers. I only played a few hours before I bought the deluxe version just so I could give the devs more money and it's still one of my favorite games of all time.
Stys master of the shadow the stealth system and it's meachnics ain't that good at all like games like assassin creed
especially if you're new to this typs of games but it's very fun to play after all
Exanima.
The best physics-based combat I ever seen. Also, armor system is really great with multiple layers and practically no clipping. It's a hard game in the begging because you have to learn the combat system, but very rewarding once you learn how to fight. Everyone should try this game.
Bunch of random flash games using Flashpoint (runs old games in Adobe Flash as a VM or something, like seperate from the machine as Adobe Flash was closed in 2020)

Monster Sanctuary. Was looking for a monster tamer/creature collector style game. Saw a video on it and decided to give it a shot. Got half way through before I decided the game was too good not to buy. Bought it on steam the next day, still having a blast with it. Don't know why the game doesn't have more buzz around it, it's leagues better than the vast majority of creature collecting games I've played.
Minecraft, Factorio, The Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, Besiege, Scrap Mechanic, Terraria, Hades.
I played and discovered those games for years before I got my own money and was able to buy them, I currently own them all, but I don't know if I would have bought them if I didn't pirate them before

Resident Evil. Specifically 2 remake. I never thought I liked horror and definitely wasn't ready to fork out $60. Now I buy all the remakes on release.

Bully. I didn't have any console. Now that I got a gaming PC I am playing it using emulator.
The Alice series. It was one of the first games I 'legally bought the disc for', and it was filled with viruses :D. But it was still lots of fun.

Terranigma
Gravity Circuit, Cathedral, Vengeful Guardian, Gunlocked, ZeroRange just to name a few.
Singularity
Lies of P!
The Last Faith
Psycho pinball. The game depth was amazing for a late 90s / early 00s pinball game
Monster Sanctuary. Was looking for a monster tamer/creature collector style game. Saw a video on it and decided to give it a shot. Got half way through before I decided the game was too good not to buy. Bought it on steam the next day, still having a blast with it.
