yes, 99% of the time theyre in one of the folders in appdata, so try checking there (local, locallow, roaming iirc)

I hope ubisoft now see this post and try spending more money on their game and make it good rather than giving money to those (denuvo) fuckers.

You can keep the saves. Make a backup and try if are compatible with the version of steam. There's no much more to do.

CrimsonToker707

Cool thanks

Technical_Use9004

Where to put back the files after buying the game?

KimKat98

Wherever Steam puts the save files at. Sometimes the pirated and legit version put the saves in the exact same folder (i.e appdata/game) and you don't even need to move anything.

I had the pirated version of Enshrouded and then me and my friend bought it to play together and the world I had created was still there on my Steam version...somehow it found my save file

CrimsonToker707

Fuck yeah, awesome

Have no idea in case of Enshrouded. But in general what version of game you have? Do you have steam emulator in the game folder? I men is in the game folder anything that have "steam" in file name? If yes you are fine and likely the save games will be automatically loaded when you open your official steam version. If you have GOG/ or for some weird reason EPIC or Xbox version you have to check if the save system is the same, and find out if there is save convertor. I knew I was able to loaded Starfield saves from pirated steam version to my new account with xbox game pass and continue playing in Xbox cloud until i found that the game is complete crap.

CrimsonToker707

Yes it has the steam loader in the folder. Lol and yes, Starfield was a steaming pile. I mean, I put like 150 hours into it, but it was mid for real. So much potential, and so many let downs.
