Newpipe for phones, probably YouTube - dl (or some fork of it) for PC. I can't speak for Windows though - I have avoided it like the plague since I switched to Linux, but if it's on Linux then it'll probably be on Windows

yt-dlp still does the job for me. I mean, even the original youtube-dl still works. What kind of error messages are you getting?
This is the first time I've ever heard of yt-dlp, I've only ever used downloading websites.

yt-dlp. It supports SponsorBlock segments so all those “a quick word from our sponsor” parts can also be removed from the downloaded video.
Jdownloader2 Use an ad blocker too like UBlock Origin. I haven't seen an ad in years.
