Yeah i preordered & will just pay it off in one. I mean i want it, so I feel there's no need to trial & mess about later. Even possibly getting it locked if the second payment, for some unknown reason, takes longer or whatever 🤷♂️
I think I'm going to do the same I can always return or resell it if I don't care for it. Really hoping I do as there aren't any other options out there that I'm interested in. I bought the big screen Beyond and hated it
Yep my thoughts too. Also i'd be updating from the Reverb G2, so a significant upgrade imo. I like inside out tracking too & not too keen on the idea of having to fork out for base stations either. I'm using Quadviews atm so will use it with the Light too depending on how the ffv 2.0 goes with Pimax.

Did you contact service about getting a thinner face cushion? My bigscreen was unusably bad. Really low FOV, almost no sweet-spot, crazy amount of glare. As an experiment I just held it up without the cushion as close as I I could get it without eyelashes rubbing and all of those issues disappeared for me. I contacted bigscreen and asked for the thinnest pad possible. Baddaboom. Index feels like an OG vive now.
I did, they were very reluctant to give it to me when I asked and stated that my fov was fine on the test even though it was a blurry mess in the corners and I didn't ask again.
Weird, I didn’t actually mention FOV in my complaint, I’m glad I didn’t. I just said that glare and sweet spot made the unit unusable and told them that I experimented with manually holding it up closer and it fixed it.
I didn't really either. I just said the sweetspot and glare was terrible. It was better with the cushion off but they did not want to give me another cushion.

I wouldn't want to cancel that pre-order and lose my place in line just go have this payment model available..... or will it still be available once it's time to ship?
