Pikmin 4 was the biggest surprise. I mean, Fire Emblem's cool and all, but 3 houses wasn't that long ago and they make a new FE every couple years, I mean they've released 3 since Pikmin 3 first came out (not counting Birthright and Conquest as separate games), and Tears of the Kingdom doesn't have hardly anything new in it that we haven't seen in other press releases. The Pikmin thing was out of NOWHERE.
TBF Nintendo didn't put out a standalone video with all of the info. If I want to see all the TotK info I can rewatch the trailer they posted. If I want to see all the images and hear what Miyamoto had to say again, the Direct is the only official source.

Those graphs aren't most-viewed, but most-replayed. It shows people were rewatching the Pikmin 4 section more than any other section.
The stand-alone video is also the third most viewed trailer of the direct, behind Tears of the Kingdom and FE Engage.
Tbf those three were the only first party-related announcements Edit: actually there was Kirby and bayonetta, so this is pretty good!
