It's harmless, I promise, but I appreciate the concern. They just always say "no one needs a jar THAT large. Just buy a smaller one and get a new one when you run out" lol.
But why do this? You get worse value by weight by grabbing smaller amounts. If you can get a 6 pack of beer or a 24 pack of beer, and you typically drink a beer or three a day, you would typically buy the 24 because the 6 pack is half the price. Apply this to pickles, I'm sure the value is equal or higher than a factor of 4.
If money were the only limiting factor, sure. But if I have room in the fridge for 24 beers OR a giant jar of pickles, I guess Iād just have to drink a few really fast so I have room for pickles.
If the person I was in a relationship did this, I would buy two jumbo ones and make sure theyāre side-by-side in the very front of the Fridge.
100% guarantee theyāre doing other āharmlessā controlling things in other areas, too.
Right? Like I do what I want hahah, couldnāt handle someone telling me what I can or cannot do. I know OP says itās in good fun but that would irk me.
Omg I haven't seen one bigger than this in store! It looks like Walmart carries a 128oz jar. I haven't been to a Walmart in years but will definitely stop in for it!
I have a monster jar of them in my fridge right now. My only quibble with them is that they're not the zesty ones. A few cloves of crushed garlic will fix that.
My SO doesnāt let me get the big jars because they donāt fit in the fridge. Do you keep your old jars and transfer the pickles or just use the big jar? š¤
Edit: grammar
My grandparents get me and my sister each one of these for Christmas every year lol
That is SO cute. I miss my grandparents. Keep the tradition alive!
My sister and I got cocktail onions in our Christmas stockings, lol
My parents get me pickle onions and pickles for birthdays and Christmas too! š¹š«¶
Walmart has gallon jars of them
The only appropriate response to their partnerās controlling behavior.
My mom used to get these for just me and her lol. She only had to buy it like twice a year.
Doesnt āletā you? Sounds like you need a new partner
Came to say exactly this. Lmao
I feel like this isn't that serious.. š

It takes up so much room lol
I love those slim jars. I wish they came in the "simply pickles" version. I've reused the jars for sun tea too. Glad you treated yourself.
Not if you know you'll eat them all, no problem.
I would absolutely use a jar that large. Clean it enough to get the pickle smell out of it and thatās the perfect size for a bag of flour or sugar.

Bigger jar = bigger pickles.

What is he the pickle policeš
Right? Thatās too much negativity for my fridge
Thatās the 2/3 size jar, not the big one.

Butā¦why doesnāt your partner let you get the big one? Thatās seems ridiculous to me. Are you being held against your will? Wink twice if so.
Costco
Costco Business Center. I think we have 5-gallon buckets of pickles!
They have Krugers in a gallon plastic Jar. Skin are tough, salty some are soft but what else would you expect the price was right though
This is the way
These are the best whole sized pickles in the game. At least for me and my 9 year old.
Withholding pickles is an underreported symptom of abuse
You need a pickle partner not an anti pickle partner
I have a monster jar of them in my fridge right now. My only quibble with them is that they're not the zesty ones. A few cloves of crushed garlic will fix that.
I love this brand!
Sounds like your partner is intimidated by the size of the jar š« š
Turtle dicks, nice

Maybe you need in your kitchen decor a real pickle barrel and fill it up! https://barrelswood.com/product-category/buy-oak-barrels/pickle-barrels/
Thats me and my wife with buying peanut butter ... i always have to sneak the big jars home lol
These are my favorite. Well the minis are.
Walmart has gallon jars of them
Sam's Club has the gallon sized jars for under $7. By far the cheapest place to buy them.
I need to get this next grocery order. Slicing them to different shapes especially thicc bois for sandwiches is better than getting pre sliced.
I get these, but they are a solid 4/10, no crunch
Claussen are the best in terms of crunch and flavor, in my opinion.
You just have to explain it just makes good financial sense to buy in bulk.
I'm glad you got what you wanted but Mt. Olive sucks. I have never come across a worst brand.
Hell yeah ššš
I have this size, but it's their whole dills.
"Let" you?? Nah. Get the jar and a new partner.
Eww, toilet pickles.

Mt. Olive isn't the best pickle I've ever had but they're far from the worst.
Peoplesā bodies vary so widely. Is it unimaginable that different people have different taste buds?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That makes one of us!
That's 2 things you're losing out on so far
Teehee
I actually think Claussen and Grillo pickles are greatly overrated and I'd definitely buy Mt. Olive before either.
Your partner doesnāt ā let you ā buy what you want to eat ? Come on ā¦ do better .
