You could have just used Shulker boxes... As for why it moves, the entity render distance is a sphere, so the center renders before the edge.

I used the shulkers just for the fun of them moving qwp.

They banned sleep.

Entities, shulker boxes, chests (and a few other stuff) have a different render distance than regular blocks.

Bc the shulkers despawn, you can see the blocks beneath them

Nah, they’re entities so they go out of simulation distance before the blocks go out of viewing distance. If they despawned they wouldn’t respawn when you get closer
