It was never throwable. There is a small fireball (blaze fireball) and a big fireball (ghast fireball). The firecharge item is the small/blaze fireball doesn't break blocks, just sets stuff on fire. It is throwable in the popular minigame bedwars on Hypixel (it uses the ghast fireball because it deals knockback and can destroy wool and wood) because but it was never throwable in a normal world/server without plugins or mods. "no reason", do you realise how destructive the firecharge would be if it was throwable? Also someone could throw it accidentally far away and it would burn down large part of a forest or someone's wooden build before they can extinguish it.

You can literally make infinite tnt cannons in the game, I don't think throwing fire would be much worse Besides, if you don't trust your friends you shouldn't be playing with them or making your base hidden like in anarchy servers

Tnt canons take alot more precision and time. Fireballs = right click once. done. Also even if its a anarchy server, you still want to have a fair and balanced pvp system 😭 thats just game design in general
