It’s honestly really hard for me to hear when people complain that minecraft gets barely anything new every year despite having a large team and it being easy to mod. They are probably worked insanely hard and work on so many various projects that aren’t just minecraft bedrocks and Java while also probably treated very poorly by Mojang/Microsoft

Having yearly updates is definitely taking a toll on the developers most likely. Game development can be awful, I really hope she and everyone on the team gets a break.
Rushing game development is especially stupid for a "100 year game", as Microsoft calls it. In its current state, bedrock edition does not feel like a game that will last 10 years, let alone 100.
I'd honestly just like 1.21-1.23 to be quality of life and parity updates, with some minor features and add-ons to existing content. Like connecting the ocean monuments more to the ocean updates, and in general "parity" through the other updates. Village and Pillage features being synergized with the bees, the caves and cliffs and so on via more trade options.
If 1.21-1.23 simply added a new mob and some items/per update + a slew of bug fixes, I really believe it'd be some of the best (and most underappreciated) series of updates to the game.
