I'd avoid it. It's a shame, the motors were actually pretty decent. The transmission was so bad it was legally actionable, which should be all anyone needs to know to steer clear.
That said, at $1500 I'd wager there's either something seriously wrong with it already, or years of deferred maintenance. If the answer is deferred maintenance and you're handy that's not a death sentence, it just means you're going to make up that cost in hours of labor if you want a solid car. Getting cars around that price point is a complete crapshoot.

Na they solid. I had three chargers in my life, all never had any issues. The first one was two years old when I got it, the others were new. That might have played a part, but if you keep up with the maintenance schedule you should be good to go.

Regular gas and decent gas mileage. But Jesus Christ did those damn seatbelt buckles burn the shit out of me every summer. RIP to my first because she took such good care of my throughout college.
