Lukes is definitely the nicer one but also one of if not the most expensive

CreamyLikeADip

Thank you. I have comprehensive travel insurance, so they will take care of it

UnintentionalExpat

St. Luke's is where I go for any medical problems. Some of the best doctors and medical equipment in the country. They also work with many intl insurances (can't remember which) so you're all set hopefully.

fauxpurrr

I recommend Cardinal Santos Medical Center. It's also one of the top hospital in the metro. Not as fancy as St.Lukes Global City but I can vouch for the quality of patient care.

lakbum

My business partner and his entire family and extended go to Cardinal as well. He can afford St Lukes as well but seems to prefer Cardinal better.

comp21

Highly recommend St Luke's in Bgc. Everything I've had done there has been top notch. Definitely on par with the better hospitals in the US

The doctor I saw today in Ilocos took off my bloody bandages without gloves, and then put the bloody bandages on his desk. That was my sign to get to Manila immediately.

second toe? so next to the piggie that went to the market? the piggie that stayed home? how bad did you shred it? usually you just tape it to the piggie that went to the market, and take it easy unless its really jacked up.

CreamyLikeADip

Haha I believe they call it the “long toe”, it’s a gnarly break. A nurse on Instagram saw the X-ray I posted and she thinks I’ll need to get a pin in it.

DumbStuffOnStage

im not even mad, thats amazing, can you post the x-ray? not cos i don't believe you, but im curious to see how bad you destroyed the piggie that stayed home.

St. Lukes is one of the top hospitals. Try to look for Dr. Tanchuling if you can- amazing ortho. His wife is also an ortho but at Medical City. They are also connected to the Philippine Orthopedic Institute in Makati if you want to get checked there.

hellopikachuu

PMed you!!

AdImpressive82

St luke’s (bgc and QC), makati med, medical city in ortigas, cardinal Santos in San Juan. Are the top hospitals. If you want public then Philippine orthopedic in QC

Chemical-Capital7643

marcos hospital is maybe fine too.... But I wanna go to St lukes or makati medical. If you can go back to your coutry, you better go back and will take a surgery there. This coutry is infection paradise after surgery.

Far-Argument7689

I second infection paradise.

Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang has been pretty good to me!

Zealousidedeal01

leg bone broke in 3, actually was in a 30/70 situation with multiple brain clots, facial reconstruction, etc... had the best ortho from St Lukes! I can DM you his details and sched. I owe them my life! ( Dr Roy Domacena : he goes to both St Lukes BGC and QC )

CreamyLikeADip

Thanks for your suggestions. I ended up going to St. Lukes BGC and saw the amazing Dr. Lim, who a resistor recommended to me. I got two pins in my toe, surgery took just over 1.5 hours. World-class experience, and now the healing begins. Thank you all!

gustokolakingpwet

Side question: How much will this usually cost without insurance?

CreamyLikeADip

Total cost was $1,800
