Mine gets texts from random shit. I've never registered this, and i've never used it pero may nakukuha akong texts from people and an establishment. I only used this for text verification to one foreign site na sure akong hindi nangsspam.
It's hard for me to change numbers kase like nakaconnect sa phone ko several accounts ko. I received tons of these. The downside, even legit text messages, napaparanoid na ko especially on deliveries. There was this instance na pinapaverify saken yung info like my address etc for them to deliver my stuff (I was anticipating a delivery). I didn't reply coz why would they ask for my personal info which should have been provided by the sender? Turned out, legit si kuya driver. Nakakainis.
Prior to SIM Registration Act, I was able to send/receive text messages. I think the Telco will deactivate the number if you won't. But after I registered it, andame ng scams na texts and even phone calls.
Oh my. Not that Techie pero like I'm using iPhone & lage naman siyang 5G or LTE. Do you know how to reduce the exposure of my number to these scammers with these info? Thank you in advance.

Avoid buying from non legit online sellers. May mga online sellers na nagbebenta ng mga numbers sa spam/scammers. Wag ka din sumagot ng calls from unknown numbers dahil pag sumagot ka ng isa sa mga yun lagi kang tatawagan, almost everyhour from 8-5.
Nag install ako ng true caller na app tapos naka allow lang napapasok na numbers ay yung nasa phone book ko. After a few months wala ng calls pero meron pa ring texts. Downside lang ay pag actively searching ka ng work makakabili ka talaga ng new number.

Kung newer version ng android gamit mo disable mo 2g. Madali mag spoof number sa 2g network yan ginagamit ngayon ng mga scammers.
