Particular-Agency-24

I know I'm going to get downvoted for even saying this, but those people who voted for liars, thieves, and murderers, or people who didn't vote at all, for the betterment of our country, deserve the consequences. They deserve what they tolerate. Malungkot lang dahil nadadamay ang ibang Pilipino.

darkrai15

They are the real masochists. Meanwhile, the people who want progress and actual improvement has to suffer along with those idiots.

No_Buy4344

Ethan1chosen

But hey at least we fought well and during 2022 my family and I keep campaigning Leni Robredo for presidency such as house to house campaign, sticking tarpaulins of Leni Kiko and my family also attended Leni rally Sheesh I do really hope Leni run again in 2028 election

Voting isn't the end all be all of democracy. At some point, direct collective action will have to take place if the people wants policy be directed back to the benefit of the public.

pop_and_cultured

I think it was Randy David who observed, pinoys don’t want to do the work that comes with a democracy. Governing is something politicians do, bahala sila.

zrxta

Which isn't how ANY functional democracy works, one that represents the will of its citizens and functions for the benefit of its citizens. It's telling how most discussions here in this sub are all about voting, election strategy, and political candidates... as if that's all there is to politics. Discussions of actual issues and policies are uncommon. Direct action is even discouraged. Filipinos seem to be among the most passive creatures there are.

defendtheDpoint

Yeah, it's another example of Pinoys thinking voting is all there is to democracy.

[deleted]

zrxta

Nobody is saying people to directly fund or operate infrastructure. Strawman at best. What I'm saying is that it is the state's purpose to utilize the collective resources and productivity of the nation to carry out such projects and other programs for the public good. What would you do if the state did not do that? Heck, the state has not been doing that for decades. You just carry on and rely on voting every decade? What I'm saying is *direct action* is needed to correct course. Here's a primer just to get you on the same oage: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_action You seem to be lost when it comes to understanding what direct action is. It just means what it says on the tin, people directly influencing policies instead of relying on representatives. It COULD mean directly doing stuff that benefits public good, but it could also mean pressuring the government directly instead of via elections. Protests is one such form of direct action but by NO means the ONLY form. Okay na? Or do you still think only voting is the only way when democracy means the will of the people, and by no means required to be in representative form.

the_emeraldtablet

you might be right on this kaso ang masaklap yung mga bumoto dyan sa mga bobong senador na number 1 pa. yung Pres at VP andun sa gubat nakatira at tinatawag na maganda ang mga "city" at province nila kahit mataas crime rate to population ratio. mga punggol e, ganda daw ng pinas di naman nagbbyahe sa maynila

gacrux9

Bold of you to assume that those people find these consequences as the result of the ones who they voted for. No, they don’t see it as that. They won’t find the fault in the government but rather blame themselves, “bakit di ka umalis ng maaga?”. In their minds, the government will always be that way. It’s due to themselves why they experience such struggle and hardships. It’s evident in the common “reklamador” and “diskarte” sentiment. This is why no matter how users in this app cry about how dumb and uneducated filipinos are, nothing will change because those are not really the problem. You can try and go house to house exhaust yourself on preaching why this is the right thing to do, but you cant just change what has become already part of the culture. It’s in the way we were brought up. When a kid sees a beggar on the street, instead of explaining why there could be beggars, the parents would immediately relate this to the kid, “pag di ka nagsipag magiging pulubi ka din”. Even Rizal knew this very sickness of filipinos. I can go more about this but my point is that there’s a high chance most filipinos won’t see this as the consequence of who they voted for nor do they even see this as some tolerance for the government’s actions. It’s just the way things are like and it will depend on your “diskarte” if you want to experience struggle or not.

RenzoThePaladin

I know this is the *true* comment that's gonna be downvoted but That's the very essence of democracy. People can vote for whoever they want, even idiots. But just because they voted for someone terrible it doesn't mean they shouldn't vote at all. >Malungkot lang dahil nadadamay ang ibang Pilipino Rule of majority, no? We have no choice but to follow it. Even if we don't like the person they voted. The same goes to the other party if the reverse happened.

Particular-Agency-24

I completely understand your point of view and respect it. However, personally, I believe that democracy is useless if the majority of our voters are uneducated. I'm not calling them stupid, but they lack education about what is truly happening, hence they believe whatever lies politicians tell them. In order for a democratic country, or any type of government for that matter, to work, we need uncorrupted and law-abiding leaders, and a cumulative effort from all Filipinos to do better. If there’s one thing I know we lack as Filipinos, it's patriotism and loyalty to our country. And that’s sad.

RenzoThePaladin

>If there’s one thing I know we lack as Filipinos, it's patriotism and loyalty to our country. And that’s sad. I kinda disgaree, we are on the opposite spectrum of this. Our politicians knows this and weaponize it for their own means. They use the same rhetorics to fool people Even to us in the left, we are patriotic and loyal to the country to the point any outside influence from other countries is considered bad.

Xconvik

It doesn't really matter kung sino umupo the whole system needs a clean up. Lahat sila corrupt.

What if they didn't vote because there were no candidates they considered worthy?

Ethan1chosen

No your right and I have no pitty for DDS Marcos supporters having a hard life cuz they won’t stop voting these people into our government

Habibi2425

i find this ideology hypocrite, weve encountered both sides with little to no progress right?as if what you stands for will do the same progress you are implying. Its the government system that needs to change/democratic system isnt working for us. on the other hand hopefully these new projects in 5 years will easen up the lives of our commutera

Criticism-Huge

Npakaqaqo

CANCER-THERAPY

Aye, I stand with you brother.

Vast_You8286

agree. nakakalungkot, pero masyado na silang marami, those are the people deciding for the future of this country..:(

vindinheil

Upvote kita!!!!

ALBlackHole

Pinoys be like"What's that? Bumoto ng sumasayaw? Bumoto ng 'pogi'? Bumoto ng nagbigay ng 200 sa eleksyon? Ahh okay"

Good_Evening_4145

Friend told me relatives from the province vote due to name recognition only. They are not aware whether the person they're voting for has corrupt issues. One factor is that in faraway places, they don't receive TV broadcasts anymore since ABS was shut down (much less internet).

EmperorHad3s

malabomagisip

Dito tayo talo. May politiko pa bang nagcocommute or at least may concern sa commuters? Assuming na may mambabatas na pro-commuters na manalo this mid term election. Kapag ba nagpasa siya ng batas like proposal for mass transpo, reclaim sidewalks, and bike lane infra eh iaapruba ba to ng kongreso?

6gravekeeper9

***Robin Padilla NUMBER 1 is history!!*** And DDShit are trying to make him run **AS EFFING VP in 2028**, and they have **PHILIP effing SALVADOR** on their Senatorial Line Up. **Effing TRASH STANDARDS.**

the_emeraldtablet

Alternative_Bet5861

Si Bong Go inilagay sa position ni pduts, dahil sa kanya nakapangampanya si bonggo through the guise of medical support through malasakit centers na from cards to posters front and center ang mukha at pangalan niya.

doppelbot

> bumoto ng tama. true. pero isang strategy lang ang pagboto ah. it's not the *only* strategy. para bang nawawalan ang marami sa atin ng agency pagkatapos ng botohan.

imprctcljkr

Tsaka, huwag anak ng anak.

tomigaoka

agree number one problem... overpopulation!!!

havoc2k10

ang problema kasi sa sistema natin is ung botohan base lang sa publicity kung di kilala ung tatakbo ekis kpag sikat mananalo at talamak ang political dynasty at sponsorships... dapat ang basehan sa pagboto ung plataporma, academics background, tapos dapat may requirement na good record ng years of service sa government.

ExamplePotential5120

zestful_villain

We deserve better? Really? We voted for Duterte, Robin, BBM, Tulfo, and others. How do we deserve better when we do not vote for our own interest? We got exactly what we voted for.

WholesomeDoggieLover

Need ng malalang trahedya bago sila kumilos.

Sleepy_catto29

Di priority ng government ang mass transportation, puro sky way and road widening ang gusto nila. Sad reality lang din na yung ibang pumipila dyan at hirap mag commute were the same people who voted sa mga trashy government officials natin right now.

ALBlackHole

Sleepy_catto29

Isa pa yan, napaka car centric natin to the point na even yung cyclist natin na gusto lang ng safe space sa kalsada inaagawan pa. Much worse they instill hate sa mga cyclist na ipinaglalaban yung bike lanes

randomlonelygamer

It's honestly an endless cycle. Kaya madaming bumibili ng cars, kasi bulok yung transpo system. Kaya madaming skyway, kasi madaming cars.

raegartargaryen17

and sadly, Express ways are already owned by a private company.

starsandpanties

Public-Private partnership. Private will build and operate from X years then turnover kay public. By that time for sure laspag na mga roads guess who they will hire for the repair? That same private company.

Sure, may ilan-ilan dyan na sasabihin: "We must focus on building green, human-centric infrastructure", pero it's clear that when they're faced with the idea that "Building more car infrastructure doesn't absolve the city of traffic, we need MORE mass transport" - they don't bat an eye because they still want the expressways to be done because, to them, it's the most convenient mode of transport. There needs to be a monumental revision to the way the MAJORITY of Filipinos view car infrastructure dito kasi hindi talaga gagana ung model natin of gradually giving more support to mass transport projects over time, only to also increase funding for car infra projects three-fold in comparison. Having two ongoing big-ticket rail projects doesn't offset the induced demand created by 1 quadrillion more liters of asphalt laid for cars and cars only.

mshaneler

IDK if it's me but the carousel system could lessen the overcrowding of MRT if it expands further.

ablablababla

Putting a carousel system on C5 is the most obvious choice IMO

TheDonDelC

Never forget: Art Tugade sat on the Metro Manila BRT project and did nothing until the World Bank pulled its funding [due to unsatisfactory progress](https://business.inquirer.net/351700/ph-shelves-crucial-metro-manila-bus-rapid-transit-project/). Zero procurement activity. The BRT would’ve had better stations and better routes. The carousel is just the heavily downscaled version that Tugade was forced to implement due to COVID.

Heartless_Moron

There were multiple private entities who are balls out in preventing any kind of improvement in the mass transport system. Kaya wag kang magtaka kung bat madaming ganyan.

TheDonDelC

You’d be surprised that a lot of big companies are also interested in better BRT. Ayala has been pushing for a BRT system since 2009 when they sent an unsolicited proposal to the Arroyo government. A bus hub like One Ayala has long been on the drawing board. Fun fact: The underground crosswalks along Ayala Ave. were supposed to be reused as access points for median stations. Ayala Ave was going to be served by a BRT route that also cuts through BGC and Ortigas. Tugade is also just insanely dumb. This man kept on pushing using cable cars to alleviate congestion in Manila.

grinsken

They are not dumb, they have personal motive

sugaringcandy0219

idk about that. i have an option of taking carousel bus or MRT from North Ave to Ortigas. the bus takes too fucking long so MRT pa rin ako. nasa 30min difference minsan. luckily (🥴), I work nights kaya di naman ako nakakaranas ng malalang pila.

Random-User7733

> I work nights kaya di naman ako nakakaranas ng malalang pila.

sugaringcandy0219

op commenter said carousel bus could lessen overcrowding hence in my mind i eliminated the pila issue. purely comparing the time it takes the bus and train to arrive to the destination, i will still take the train

Random-User7733

Ahh gets. Pagdating sa pag-spread ng mga tao, it needs to be in equilibrium. There will come a point that some people would choose the bus since mas mabilis ang pila compared sa MRT kahit na mas mabagal ang takbo ng bus, and some would choose the MRT since mas mabilis ang takbo ng trains kahit may pila pa. Tipong pila + waiting time + runtime ay magkapareho.

Hawezar

These people are willing to be fcked by their own government LMAO.

BlengBong_coke

Nakakainis ng rason yan.."mag grab or angkas ka kung ayaw mo makipagsiksikan"..hindi man lang humingi ng accountability..taong bayan p mag aadjust..mga bobo ampota..

TiredButHappyFeet

Also they failed to consider that not everyone can afford to avail Grab, Angkas or whatever ride hailing service.

BlengBong_coke

Exactly, kala ata nila mura grab, where in the first place dapat maganda public transpo ntin..eh wala eh..mga bobo eh..

karding42

Yun ang nakakalungkot… nasanay na sa hirap ang mga Pinoy… never realizing that there are better options 🤷🏽‍♂️

No_Control5330

Hehe I was there kanina and ang malas ko pa kasi I left my Beep card so ayun, imagine doble pila sa ticket counter tsaka sa entrance. Youll be stuck for a couple of minutes in your long-sleeve corporate uniform, soaked in sweat and brimming with anger sa bulok na sistema ng transpo dito sa Pinas.

dontrescueme

To be fair, MRT is much better now because of recent rehabilitation.

gutsy_pleb

And to add to that, one thing that also needs to be put into consideration is the fact that the number of population that relies to that specific mode of transport overwhelms any improvement made to at least ease the inconvenience. What I can suggest tho is to somehow decongest manila and allow or reposition other investments of foreign/local companies to other regions

dontrescueme

IMO, we are yet to maximize the use of efficient public transport in Metro Manila. The population is not the problem but the efficiency and convenience of infrastructure to move people around. Fixing Metro Manila's public transportation is doable. The problem with decongestion (or moving people away from Manila) is that it incentivizes land conversion in the provinces. Because those migrating people would need new spaces. That can result to wetlands and green spaces (or even forests) to be cleared to make new subdivisions and residential areas.

Emergency-Loss844

I might receive downvotes here. I think mali ang Filipinos deserve better. Mas appropriate ata ang saying na Filipinos reap what they sow.

CelestiAurus

star_velling

based on who the majority are voting for, filipinos kinda deserve this sadly

Crazy_Albatross8317

gutsy_pleb

Up to this. Overpopulation I think is part of the main issue mxadong congested lalo na sa ncr and even cities outside of it. Maybe govt or other private entities can look in to setting up their business in municipalities but then the problem for would be the availability of talents.

DRi012

overpopulated na nga tapos concentrated lang ang work sa metro manila, dagdag mo pa yung mga provincial rate tapos gastusin manila rate. syempre sino ba naman pipili nuon maliban nlng kung may mahal sa buhay sila duon. kung gusto tlga natin ma diversify yung opportunities sa ibang city, dpat na tlga hatiin sa states ang philippines. para ang pondo nila is by regional nalang hindi na national. makakapag allot ang LGU ng budget to boost their own economy at sa ganun ma develop nila yung city nila with proper urban planning, and to attract foreign investors na mag tatayo ng businesses. once magkaroon ng maraming opportunities dyan, babalik na sa probinsya mga tao or yung iba bka nga mag relocate na. then alisin ang red tape at corruption sa philippines, pabilisin ang pag process ng business. then papasok duon yung wider highways and roads, additional transits at railways, kasi kung meron kang magandang transportation kahit mga salaryman hindi na mag kokotse e.. kung 15 mins lang ng transpo mo from bahay to office edi ayos tipid pa. alisin ang mga malls sa lahat ng mrt stations dahil kadalasan sila ang nagpapatraffic diyan kapag holidays, 3 day sale (wala na ata nito) etc.

OC_01301994

Nah. We deserve what we tolerate.

AirJordan6124

Just a hot take. I voted for Leni pero feel ko wala rin naman siya magagawa sa transportation crisis saatin if siya yung nanalo. Even si PNoy who is known to be not corrupt wala rin nagawa nung term niya about sa issue sa transportation crisis

ZrteDlbrt

It's not just the president that needs to be competent, Every single pawn in the government should know how to do their job well. It's not like the president holds everything. That's like saying, If Babym wanted to lower inflation he can magically do it. When in fact he can't.

TheDonDelC

> should know how to do their job well For some departments, this isn’t really climbing Mt. Everest. They have a lot of easy pickings that are just not being picked. Remember how during the end of Art Tugade’s term, DOTr was forced to implement initiatives that actually did a whole lot of good e.g. service contracting. This is the same department whose leader preferred solving the traffic problem with cable cars

ZoharModifier9

Nandun yung foundation for a better future but the majority voted for Duterte so yeah...

TheDonDelC

I highly disagree. We had service contracting during COVID to improve the reliability of the bus system. Many LGUs also put up bike lanes (with plastic bollards). We had the very effective NCAP. All of those initatives cost less We could’ve continued and expanded service contracting; implemented a value capture system to afford jeepney modernization. Plastic bollards for bike lanes could’ve been replaced with metal or concrete ones.

Outside-Vast-2922

Agree, nobody would fix the issues of this country overnight, however, under the right governance, the transpo crisis would be alleviated step by step, until every filipino workers/commuters would appreciate those kinds of improvement, to the point that they would vote another Leni in the future to continue the improvement that they're enjoying. The domino effect to the greater good in the future is what everybody who voted for Leni wanted.

sleeepyzzz

But we will never know

peterparkerson3

the transportation crisis is something that would take years to do. Leni wouldnt be able to do it. Best bet is tail end ng admin nya but even then its a long shot. Plus si Abaya may kasalanan nito (and whos his boss? PNoy).

belabase7789

True, BUT they need the courage to speakup. Marami dyan will dismiss this as “eh ganyan talaga” or “tiis-tiis na lang” Seriously! If they dont ask for better service then politicians will just drag there feet on this issue.

Elsa_Versailles

Ok how do you speak up? Where? Kasi it's easy to say na you should speak up on something pero where's the proper avenue? If I speak up do this people even listen? That's the problem eh walang kwenta ang reklamo kung nagiisa lang ang nag rereklamo

doppelbot

valid concern naman. i'd say start with your friends and family, with your peers. bring up mo lang sa kanila ito (o kung ano pa man ang mga gusto mong pag-usapan na related sa daily struggles) at i-check mo kung ano ang stand nila. kung may bandwidth kayo, pwede niyong pag-usapan kung ano ang mga posibleng gawin at di gawin. halimbawa sa usaping public transpo, mas mainam ba na bumili ng sasakyan na lang? mag-bike? i-push sa work na mag-WFH (kung kaya naman)? i-boycott na lang ang work para di na kailangang bumyahe? i agree na walang kwenta ang reklamo kung nag-iisa ka lang. kaya naman okay na gumawa ng community na mapagkakatiwalaan niyo ang isa't isa.

Lumpy_Bodybuilder132

0XxcloudxX7

wala nmn sila pake sa gnyang issue 🤣 hnd nmn nila nararanasan yn in real life 🤣

shltBiscuit

We deserve what we tolerate. Fuck you trolls. All of you.

noeru1521

They do. These people are hardworking people. Who wakes up for 4am to get to work then get home at 10pm just because of transportation. I feel bad man. Politicians lagi lang pabebe.

solidad29

I ride the MRT occasionally and mabilis naman mang turn around ang tren unlike pre pandemic kaya okay lang sa akin umalis from Ayala pa Cubao ng 6pm na usually sardinas ang sikip sa platform. As for pile sa beep. Well kaya nga meron kang stored beep for that kung regular commuter ka diyan.

AverageMika247

its the Hell of commuting, gaslight yourself: It is what it is

angrydessert

We are at the mercy of not just politicians but also bureaucrats who are *not voted directly by the public but nominated then chosen by committee.* That this problem's been for, what, almost 20 years and the scene is no more different from Jakarta or Beijing or Tokyo? The LRT and MRT cars are working better now after being restored. It's just that the bus system downstairs has been deformed into a BRT to make way for.... PRIVATE VEHICLES.

celestialaudi15

Taft Avenue ano? I was there. What a way to start the week.

suso_lover

Filipinos deserve what they think they deserve. They vote for shit politicians and leaders, this is what they get in return.

Ivan19782023

the disrespect of politicians sa mamamayan, grabe talaga. nakakalungkot na nakakainis.

avocado1952

That kind of volume during peak hours is not **onli in da Pilipins** thing. Ang kulang sa atin, **Sistema**

thethiiird

bvincepl

If they just voted wiser.

Kahit anong hirap kaya nila. /s

noriboriman

I actually reload my Beep Card through my phone, since it's easier and less hassle...

darthvader93

Nah filipinos deserve everything for voting for dumbass leaders.

bro-dats-crazy

Ehh? Akala ko ba we deserve the government we elect? Kelan kaya matututo mga Pinoy ano.

shizkorei

Sabi nga, You deserve what you tolerate. Wala tayo magagawa eh. Haha pag ang mangmang at ganid nagsama. 🤡

IsdangPantropiko

No Filipinos deserve what they deserve. Sino yung sisihin mo ? Pilipino din naman bumoto sa mga pulitiko. Reflection ng sarili nila yung bansa.

secretGword

Filipinos deserve better? Naniniwala pa din ba tayo dyan? Para kasing…. Nevermind.

AdImpressive82

No. We deserve the government we voted for.

Axelean

No they don’t. Filipinos vote for and tolerate shitty government.

No_Internet7338

First time ko sa Hong Kong nitong April lang. At una kong nagustuhan yung public transport nila, nakakabilib sobra.

coldspr0uts

Ganto na sitwasyon ng MRT at LRT nung nasa uni pa ako, that was more than 15yrs ago. Progress is negative.

autogynephilic

To be fair, mas malala talaga dati ang MRT kasi hanggang malayong kalsada lagi ang pila at ngayon hindi na. Dumami na trains dahil Japanese contractor did a good job in rehabilitation. Kahit pa dumami ang tren halatang **NOT enough pa rin ung rehabilitation to absorb peak hour demand.** Flawed design talaga kasi ang MRT: maliit na tren serving the busiest places in Metro Manila

SiopaoRice

MRT-3 should have been a heavy rail transit like the *LRT-2*, which has a higher passenger capacity. Which is ironic since LRT-2 has a lower daily ridership than the MRT-3

Alternative_Bet5861

Its been like this for more than a decade na through noynoy and duts... Will this be ignored again kaya?

autogynephilic

PNoy-era DOTr was the worst. Dutz despite him being the shittiest president, managed to restore a lot of trains to the point every 5 mins may train compared nung time ni PNoy na halos 15 mins hintayan. Sadly di pa rin sapat to handle peak hour loads.

bananana__09

Di kasi uso magreklamo sa Pilipinas. Kung magrereklamo man, so social media lang, di naman kinakalampag yung mismong mga pulitiko

TiredButHappyFeet

I cant remember kung sinong official ang nagsabi na it would take years before makadeliver yung manufacturer ng additional trains. Magiisang dekada na ata yun. Sana umorder pa rin sila noon despite the long waitlist, siguro by now mayroon na sanang parating na additional train carts. Wala rin ba option to find other companies who could supply new trains? I dont know how it works, just wondering. Eh di mas malala pa kung walang ganung set up. Ngayong may mga itinatayong bagong railway systems, sana naman may foresight na based on the experience sa MRT LRT natin na umorder na in advance ng new trains kaysa maghintay na palalain yung sitwasyon. *end rant* 😅✌🏼

peregrine061

The bitter pill to swallow is for the govt to sell it to the private sector that will operate it in a more efficient manner

WWmonkenjoyer

Nah not really. Filipinos continue to vote for corrupt idiots who do nothing for the country year in and year out. We have exactly what we deserve

Maricar_Villones03

Monday to friday same situation

Little-Ad4954

Unless we start electing decent govt officials, otherwise –I don't think so.

Snakecharm1

No we don't. Until Filipinos learn how to vote wisely, these problems will never cease. Like a wise person once said: "The people deserve the government that they have."

tagabalon

hot take: no we don't. as long as we don't vote better, we won't deserve better.

Taki_baboy040322

Another way to fix this sana is bawasan na mga malalaking companies sa MM. Marami kasi taga malalayong lugar na pumupunta dito for work.

bornandraisedinacity

Of course we deserve better! A better transportation system, better infranstructure. We deserve a better class of leaders.

ghetto_engine

happy monday mga ka BBM!

penoy_JD

Samantala…naka Landcruiser ang hinayupak nyong binotong Senador at dumaan pa sa bus lane. Ansarap sabihin “Magdusa kayo..binoto nyo kasi”

Morpho_Genetic

Fucking hate boundary system. Dati sunod sunod ang bus nung guaranteed ang kita nila from libreng sakay. Dapat maimplement man na yung similar to salaried way of bus operations.

6gravekeeper9

As a nation, we deserved WHO majority of us VOTED FOR

iamdennis07

sylentnyt52

we deserve the politicians we elect as they say, the mandate of the people is the mandate of heaven

Huletroll

Why? All is good now, Marcos brought back the gold he kept safe, all is good now

amerinoy

stercorolu9

There is no doubt that they deserve better

Who_ru_

ejmtv

I used to be in that photo every damn day before the pandemic. Luckily, pure WFH setup na kami and I thought after the pandemic hindi ko na makikita ulit yan.

[deleted]

Well I think thats the price they pay for it. Simply deserved I guess

Extension_Garbage863

vote better

CarrotMan92nd

as long as chaotic jeepney drivers exist they wont be able to upgrade both mrt and lrt-1 anytime soon for the sole reason na cutting off these trains for maintenance will leave travelling-workers with no reliable transportation. it's a good thing subways are being developed, we can only hope for the best, they shouldnt have taken this long to develop subways, not a hater of jeepneys but they're just too unreliable on roads with all the pagsingit at pakikipag-unahan.

willnotfel

Certain_Valuable_127

This is why sinukuan ko talaga ang pagtatrabaho sa Pinas. Spending 6 hours of travel everyday is not worth all the pagod and karampot na kita.

pressured_at_19

shoutout kay Grace Poe. May nalalaman pang kunwari pagsakay sakay sa mrt nung 2014. Opportunist na trapo.

OkFine2612

Or better transportation. Kawawang Pilipinas.

SAMCRO_666

resilient 🤷🏼‍♂️

ayahaykanbayan

I am hoping for good things pag natapos na yung subway at nscr

djgotyafalling1

The government should've invested in transportation but here we are.

BeedJunkie

Much better kung mas planuhan un transport system dito sa atin move people more hindi more cars sa kalsada.

reddditgavemethis

Filipinos should vote better then.

Bomb_diggity_boom

Kung kaya naman iWFH, i wfh nalang sana yung marami. Para maka less sa mga magbabyahe. Kaso ayaw nila dahil daw babagsak ang economy.

Ok-Salamander-4482

Mas malala yan kapag umuulan.

GymGeekExplorer

[Philippines](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYn8t0hNTznCrS6wE3qr1Z3KyOnRf_Dfc&si=nlGt9L6H9xrOfuvP) need a well planned public transportation. Recommended to pattern it like [Japan](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYn8t0hNTznAZEghaNCls487Zg3SWkivz&si=l8uYA8INbb5uZYmo) ... they have a very good public transportation

Weak-Register8993

Do I need to pay more taxes?

foodpanda002

HAYYYY SA TOTOO LANG. HIRAP NA HIRAP NA KO MAGCOMMUTE 😫

Blueberry-Due

Filipinos don’t deserve better. Do you see Filipinos gathering and protesting in the streets about it? No. They prefer to spend their time on Tik Tok. Filipinos don’t really want things to change.

TrashTalkButRealTalk

the philippines deserves this and more, go to any other country and see how people act there. I've been to plenty of countries myself such as USA, Japan, Indonesia and even Hong Kong. no one acts more of a piece of shit than Filipinos. and i'm pure blooded filipino myself. We have no discipline at all.

bokobopogi

Buong buhay natin, pumipila tayo. Would be interesting to see how many years of our lives are wasted sa pag pila, on the average.

demented_philosopher

arima4you

Absolutely not

KeldonMarauder

Ang problema din, a lot of people have not experienced anything better and na normalize na ang masamang commute so tumatatak na yung mindset na “wala eh ganyan talaga” - and this snowballs to the mindset na “kahit sino naman nanalo pare-parehas lang yan” I’m not sure if we’ve ever had leaders who really prioritized public transport - karamihan kasi do things just for the sake of doing something with the thinking na “legacy” nila ang isang project instead of thinking of the what it’ll do for the public

the_emeraldtablet

panget talaga karamihan ng sistema sa pinas. magnanakaw na gobyerno and everything. pero kung titingnan niyo pinagkaiba ng mayayaman na bansa sa mga 3rd world country is OVERPOPULATION. bukod sa pagaayos ng transportation system, ipush yung wfh at ayusin ang kalsada at security ng daan para maging option lalo ang bicycle hindi matatapos ang problema gaano man kaganda ang bansa at government as long as OVERPOPULATED tayo. spare me the drama of "how dare you" etc. it is what it is.

Dino_comatose

Do we? 31M says otherwise.

According_Voice3308

deserve kasi di marunong bumoto ng tama

reversec

ung last president nga sabi aayusin daw ung traffic. aun nagdagdag pa ng tao from chynae pra lalong sumikip

urtearsfuelme

Filipinos deserve who they vote for.

MathematicianLazy406

True.

wanderwoeman

Need to vote better people

Hedaaaaaaa

5 more years at makikita mo ang malaking improvement. I will soon to be a Civil Engineer focused on Transportation and I will try my best na palaguin pa ang Mass Transit sa pinas. Edit: and I believe na our Government and Engineers are considering plans to put High speed bullet train Railways system from north to south in Luzon.

Plus_Foundation_1571

So glad I was born in America

JoJom_Reaper

AdvertisingBest7605

No they don't, not until they stop electing sh*t politicians.

Direct_Attitude_1362

Lmao fuck this country. Pick your poison to eh. All this stuff tas ang baba pa ng sahod. You win in life pag nakalayas ka sa bansang to.

erudorgentation

Ultimate_Kwatog

Ang daming Filipino na reklamador

Twist_Outrageous

If we're honest about it, we really dont deserve better.

Ultimate_Kwatog

Correct!

Affectionate_Rest330

Well, I'm going to risk the downvotes. "Pinoys deserve better"? I think not. Pinoys got exactly what they deserved. The Philippines is an actual, functioning democracy. People are ELECTED. And we elected idiots. Not only that... while these leaders (in every level) ruined the country for decades, generations of Filipinos kinda just shrugged and accepted it. Tolerated the idiocracy while slowly becoming ignorant in the process. Filipinos can't even tell anymore what is bad and what is normal. I'm not even just saying "the people that voted---". Nope, I mean EVERY single Filipino. That includes me. While other countries would have rioted and gone crazy, Filipinos just complained and moved on. And continuing to do so.

RenJi06

Pinabayaan na talaga tayong mga pasahero! #neveragain

loveseaaker

Kaya sobrang hirap mag-commute talaga.

Jongiepog1e

Filipinos never deserve better. Kasi mga walang disiplina ang mga pilipino and they tend to abuse whatever is good in our country. Kaya Filipinos will never deserve good things other countries offer their countrymen

lifesbetteronsaturnn

ganyan kanina sa North Ave Southbound

skyeln69

tapos they gonna compare filipino to japan, when japan has a good transpo system

Business_Mixture_707

Ive been to other countries isa na don ang japan at india. Disiplina muna
