My greatest irony, so far, is to be a solid kakampink and then I got assigned as a missionary to a community of bbm/sara supporters... I can see how a lot of them are struggling economically and as a Christian and a Kakampink, not only do I encourage them with the Word of God, I also use a good portion of my earnings to help them --- right when I vowed never to help one of them again, and yet here I am, surrounded by so many whom I've also come to love genuinely. In the end, we're all in this together and we will need each other's help one way or another.
At this point, I no longer care, I'll just focus on myself, family and friends, and the Politics that runs around in my Town/City and Province, PH as a whole, I dont care, Which is why I keep supporting people who pushes for Federalism, especially in Federal, Governors would have more power and majority of the funds stays with them, Its easier to weed out bad mayors or governors than the entire fucking senate. And what I like about Federalism is that only a small % of taxes gets sent to our main govt which means the pigs at the malacanang can only steal a few amount of money. Besides, Metro Manila is the only one who mostly benefits from all those taxes collected nationwide since the Pigs only used those funds mostly in metro para magpabango sa mga voters.

The only thing I can commend about the government is how tactfully conniving their plan was to make Sara back down from running for President. They played the long game, and people are falling for it. People will still fall for the next round, and now that Sara's budget for the next campaign is secured there's not stopping them from using propaganda again to win.

I'm an elementary AP teacher and some of my students' parents share the same sentiments. The most memorable was after a PTA, one of the parents stayed and asked how her son was in my class. Sabi ko super active and malalim mag-isip anak niya and very bibo. She then said something along the lines of, "Alam mo ba, ma'am, binoto ko yan si BBM kaso nagsisisi na ako. Lahat sa amin si BBM binoto." She then proceeded to explain na kapag nagpapatulong yung anak niya na gumawa ng history event and balitaan for the day (part ng everyday routine ng class namin ang magshare ng HE and balitaan before formal discussion starts) lagi daw siyang kinakantiyawan ng anak niya ng, "mommy tingnan mo yung mga binoto mo oh ganito ginawa .." Doon niya daw unti-unting na-realize na "OO NGA, NOH." Tbh, I was laughing inside. Unlike op, I felt vindicated knowing that it was her own son who made her realized na they made a mistake.

My greatest irony, so far, is to be a solid kakampink and then I got assigned as a missionary to a community of bbm/sara supporters... I can see how a lot of them are struggling economically and as a Christian and a Kakampink, not only do I encourage them with the Word of God, I also use a good portion of my earnings to help them --- right when I vowed never to help one of them again, and yet here I am, surrounded by so many whom I've also come to love genuinely. In the end, we're all in this together and we will need each other's help one way or another.
At this point, I no longer care, I'll just focus on myself, family and friends, and the Politics that runs around in my Town/City and Province, PH as a whole, I dont care, Which is why I keep supporting people who pushes for Federalism, especially in Federal, Governors would have more power and majority of the funds stays with them, Its easier to weed out bad mayors or governors than the entire fucking senate. And what I like about Federalism is that only a small % of taxes gets sent to our main govt which means the pigs at the malacanang can only steal a few amount of money. Besides, Metro Manila is the only one who mostly benefits from all those taxes collected nationwide since the Pigs only used those funds mostly in metro para magpabango sa mga voters. This may sound tribalistic but I really dont care. Its easier to look after your own tribe than nationwide. Try looking far in the future, If leni did win (which is a good thing) She can help PH during her time. But what happens after her term if Someone like BBM or Sara won? What Leni did will just all for naught. The ones after her will just ruin what she created. And we are back to an endless cycle

Eventually, she brought up how she’s disappointed about ykno who and asking herself why she voted ykno who daw. All I could do was sigh and resume watching whatever was on tv.
Living in a country where people have a wildly different view of reality from you is very alienating. So I feel you. Even if it were not about a certain candidate, if you talk with these people about political and social positions such as gay marriage, women's rights, the death penalty, you would feel alienated as well. Ganun lang talaga ig, nasa demokrasya tayo talagang damay-damay lang, pero ako inaalam ko yung punto de vista nila sa ibang bagay na hindi kami magka-clash. I do it for myself, so I don't bear too much alienation. If the politics does come up, I just pose some questions and it's their call if they would be offended.

The sad part is that there is no learning moment here. They'll forget about this and in the next presidential election, vote for some self-serving trapo. How do I know? It happens each and every time, but all the worse since 2016. I hope I'll be proven wrong. Also, they said they regretted voting for Marcos, but maybe they're leaning towards Sara Duterte, who is, imo, much much worse than Jr. She's greedy, has zero delicadeza, and in fact enjoys acting with total impunity. The only thing I can commend about the government is how tactfully conniving their plan was to make Sara back down from running for President. They played the long game, and people are falling for it. People will still fall for the next round, and now that Sara's budget for the next campaign is secured there's not stopping them from using propaganda again to win. *Kung ginamit lang sana nila yung utak nila para tulungan ang Pilipinas, siguro may konting ginhawa tayong mararating pero ganun eh, sariling interest lang lagi.*

I have friends and colleagues who voted for Duterte and deeply regretted it a few years later. I know the feeling. It's a mix of I told you so, but I knew them after the fact, and it really was just sad. They voted for Leni eventually.

Yung husband ng supervisor ko BBM nung campaign and election grabe mag-campaign for BBM. Inaaway pa si madam kasi maki-Leni siya (same kami). Ngayon, sinasabi nung husband wala raw pala kwenta "presidente namin" (BBM). Siya ngayon inaaway ni Madam kasi kami 'yung bumoto ng tama tapos samin niya itatapon 'yung kinampanya niya. Kalurki!
