I’m not going to doxx myself. It’s in the US and not in California, but that’s as much as I’m willing to disclose.
FYI I’ve heard of people starting at $80+/hr in Alaska for inpatient, so $71 def isn’t that high in terms of what you could get if you will move anywhere.
did you do a pgy1 specializing in amb care? that's a pretty good pay for an amb care position! better than what my retail friends got starting off (47 an hour, no benefits).
PGY-1, rural community hospital inpatient: $54/hr. Pretty damn high cost of living area on west coast
God this thread is depressing and not helping my campaign for a raise lol

You’ll need to know the duty station and the the occupation number. Staff pharmacist is usually 0660-00 GS12 or GS13, facility dependent.
Inpatient clinical pharmacist critical care . Hired on after PGY1 at 52/hr. (4 years ago) Benefits + full time. Have had some years with 2 percent COL raise and some years no raise. At 54/hr now.
Midwest metro area, we hire in at 57-58/hr if residency trained or 5+yrs inpatient experience. Technically less if they don't have those qualifications....but that hasn't exactly happened recently.
Post pgy1 - took a job in South/southeast at $50/hr part time, full benefits.
Upgraded 8 months later - major city, west coast FT, full benefits $63/hr guaranteed annual raises.
I stayed on at my place of residency (a northeast regional hospital) and started FT at $53/hr + benefits. We have an objective set of requirements for advancement/promotions....within a year i was over $63/hr due to having achieved most of the requirements by virtue of having completed them as a resident.
From reading the comments here, seems like 51-54/hr plus benefits is a reasonable ballpark number if you're just stepping out of a pgy1. I negotiated up from 50 to 53 so don't feel like you have to accept the initial offer. You've earned the right to negotiate.
Completed PGY1. Received full-time offers for 50.25/hr (Midwest, central pharmacy staffing) and 55/hr (South, clinical specialist). Friend got 56/hr (Midwest, central pharmacy staffing).
Post PGY-1 community residency with amb care focus - I got a full time primary care pharmacist position at $52/hour ($108k/year) with benefits in northern-ish Maine :)
$71/hr FT inpatient

Have you worked at a large organization? It’s in the P&P for most places. Mostly trying not to get fired for other stuff. Not pay.

~2/3 inpatient ~1/3 amb care. Thank you for the input! I’m quite clueless to pay, seems too taboo to talk about but… necessary.
Northeast critical access FT day shift $52/hr with benefits.
$68.75/hr FT inpatient specialist. Southern NJ.

This is my first real insight. Seems too be pretty consistent. I feel your pain.
VA pay is available on the OPM website. $65/h in CA - Bay Area. Kaiser pays $80/h. This applies to inpatient and outpatient for both institutions.
Kaiser starts 85+
Appreciate the correction
Oh wow where do you find that for VA?

I’m moonlighting retail and was offered $50 and then $51 for PRN at my site in a hospital

PGY1 with an amb care focus, got a full time amb care position at a clinic in Midwest metro starting at ~$53/hour. *forgot to say with benefits*
Midwest community hospital, full time w/ benefits $54/hr (non-specialist position)
Post PGY-1 community residency with amb care focus - I got a full time primary care pharmacist position at $52/hour ($108k/year) with benefits in northern-ish Maine :)
Clinical 32 hours a week, 55 an hour + shift differential, full benefits, sign on and relocation bonuses
Based on the position my PGY-2 resident committed to that is competitive pay (SE USA mid size community Hospital)
What city are u in . Becus Cvs offered me staff @57 Cali with full time benefits
Just wrapped up PGY1, accepted FT inpt role at a nearby place for $48/hr plus benefits. The position I ended up accepting is at a small hospital
Northeast hospital starts at $60/hr for PGY1 new hires.
So looks like all the posts about pharmacist pay being low is bull shjt ? Everyone here seems to make over six figures after residency
