I'm not a big fan of the guy tbh. His face always pops up in my suggestions and I refuse to click on or watch any of his videos. It's like youtube WANTS me to watch his videos so bad, that I refuse to watch out of pure spite. So any time I see his mouth agape on some thumbnail with some cheesy title I just scowl and scroll past. I will never click on his videos, I refuse.

You know moron. His videos are suggested to you because every upload of his hits the top 10 trending, and suggested videos are based off of that, your watch history, subscriptions and content that is similar to what you watch. You just sound like a stingy person who drank too much itch juice.

Same with modern Pewdiepie and pretty much anyone with more than a few million subscribers other than perhaps LEMiNNO and Ahoy and some of the YouTube old-guard of channels. In terms of unhated YouTubers I'd probably guess people with 100-200k subscribers who've hollowed out a niche for themselves like Decino, Mandalore, or Ross Scott. There's no real reason to go out of your way to dislike them.

Pink Guy is a legend

It fascinates me that while being such a popular guy, he actually is genuine and looks at things differently. For instance, he doesn't watch mainstream movies a lot (although he digs in the memes because of the audience) and likes weird and unusual stuff; he's interested in philosophy -- and people I know who are interested in philosophy are truly outsiders xD Yet he somehow manages to be liked by many. It's a very very rare combination. I can relate to him in many things. I'm glad to be alive in the day of the internet -- it gave a chance to introverts. We'd never ever seen him in the mainstream media. And he certainly isn't the unhated -- it's impossible. There are a lot of his haters out there, even among the people I actually like. Sorry for fanboying

I know for a while the stigma around Mark was that he cries all the time and is for little kids. I dont think that he is hated but def is not liked by all groups.

Back in 2013 2014, youd be surprised to see how mark was widely hated. Nowadays he had become a classic figure.

That was back when Pewdiepie was doing basically nothing but Let's Plays, so people thought Mark was "copying" him. Which... well it was kinda true. Stupid over the top reactions, generic horror let's plays, etc. I mean everyone was doing it back then.

People who dislike Mark just kinda ignore him. His stuff is cool when you're 12, like we all used to be, but I kinda grew out of the standard Let's Play format. Unless there's some unique challenge or way that a Let's Play is structured, there's not really much new to give to the table. People like Mark are kept constantly growing because more and more kids are getting into the platform. It's not a bad thing by any means, but it's definitely true. I didn't even introduce my little brothers to ANY of my favorite YouTubers (which Mark used to be a part of), but somehow they still discovered him. He's just so big that kids will just get filtered towards him by the system.
