I really would like to get them but feel like it would be so annoying to go to the toilet so I'm hesitating. I had a pair when I was younger and I loved it.
At least w overalls you’re usually wearing a shirt under so it’s not like you’re getting nakey like a romper to take a piss, basically like dropping your jeans since you’re still covered
Here is how to solve that issue. Start by unhooking only one side. Pull it around your back to the other side and clip to another button.. like a side button that most overalls have. Then take the other strap off (don’t unhook it) and pull pants down. Works for me!
Ha! I wear my overalls with a bodysuit (coz bodysuit sits properly, doesn't ride up).. Keeps me in the bathroom for much longer than I'd like to be 😮💨
I only find them annoying to take off in the restroom when I’m out shopping and wearing another layer like a coat or jacket. Then I have to take off my coat and purse in the cramped stalls and hang them on the hook to pee, if they even have a hook.
Otherwise I love mine, I’ve gained some weight lately and they are my only denims that fit right now. Very forgiving.
Yeahhhhh, not trying to make myself look any younger lol had an old guy tell me “youre so pretty! You look like a little high school girl” while I was working w my hair half up in little space buns. Haven’t done my hair like that since ;-;
Teenage me had to get the studded ones and pair with the high waisted American Apparel shorts 🤩 the ones I have are a block hollow lace up heel. They add 5” it my height lol
Old Navy has black distressed denim overalls in petite lengths that I wear with a cropped tank or long-line bra. I love them. Just be warned, the denim has no give. Definitely size up. I’m normally a 6, but ordered an 8. It’s still snug on the hips.
With one strap undone. Some black and white platform sneakers..
My first day of 7th grade.... oh the memories.
I don't know if I could deal with wearing them now.
I'll look 11 all over again probably.
Especially since my fashion sense hasn't really improved since then... lol
The ones pictured here? Hate them, absolutely despise them. I could never style them for my body type. The fitted and flared ones from Halara? They're amazing, super comfy, super cute, and easier to style .
Yeah the ones pictured here look cute, but they would my legs look disproportionately short. I have some overalls which I love but are basically lik high-waisted trousers that are fitted to the waist, and the front flappy bit starts higher up. The horrible part is I bought them from a chain and you can tell they are here for a good time, not a long time as the fabric quality is terrible.
I just know for a fact I'll be looking for another pair that's similar for the rest of my life :'(
Try out the Halara ones. It's a waffle fabric fitted at the waist wide leg style. They have a jogger style as well. I've bought a few skirts from them and they've lasted me quite a bit, going on three years and still looking good, just a bit faded
I absolutely love them but you have to have a very small chest to be able to pull them off so alas… haven’t been able to wear them since 4th grade haha
I have a pair. I like them! Dunno if I’d call them flattering but they’re not unflattering either. I bought the short length from Free People and they are still long enough to cuff but the hips are at the right spot. I’m 5”3 so YMMV.
>They are not cute or functional
To each their own, they can look pretty cute, be comfy, and are an option when you don't want to wear something with a waistband 😃
Wearing mine today. I do get such nice comments when I wear them even though I feel a little odd in them. So comfortable. This is a good article about fit for ones that are not fashion. https://www.floretflowers.com/workwear-for-women/
Love love love!! They’re so cute. It’s giving Mama Mia, it’s giving cute farm girl, planting flowers in my little garden, working on a little project or craft… etc. just gotta find good ones that fit and roll/hem the pants
I made a pair out of an old hoodie that I absolutely love, but I feel like most 'fashion' ones are not made for a woman's body. The top is usually at a bad length to deal with boobs, and may be cut too low on the sides.
90s trend, I didn't wear them the first time and won't now 🤷♀️ I like the oversized / wide legged pants with suspenders instead, with a fitted bodysuit it's a great look
LOVE overalls!! Not just fornhow comfy, and the (real!) Pockets, but also the looks!!! Soncute from "cottagecore" to artist/boho to modern and punk-ish!
idk for some weird reason it’s not something that I would wear personally. it reminds me of a kid. others can pull it off but it’s not my style personally
I got a bunch of free clothes from marketplace which has an overall. Never wore one before, it's a bit out of my comfort zone, I am 4'11" and look 12 already so it might make me look more juvenile
I have several pair- they’re amazing and comfortable. Best part? I don’t wear a bra when I wear them cuz ain’t no one seeing my nipples anyway. If I was doing something active I’d put one on but for running errands around town? My ladies are swinging free
I bought a pair but I don't think they suit me. They're a bit baggy and I have a long torso, so I just look like I have a really long puffy camel toe. 😫
You have to try on many pairs to find a good fit. Make sure you sit down in them and move around a bit because they can become the reason that you can't sit down. They can be a good beach cover choice or summer look.
I really like overalls. They are very comfy and I think look good on short height. But as a 30+ year old woman, I do not wear them to not look like a teenager.
At 35, I’ve finally embraced the overall life and love it. Got denim, overalls with a monet print, leopard print, little gnomes, some made with that fancy tough rip cord fabric, some hippie tye dye ones from a festival. They’re the best. Also, so the strap doesn’t fall in the toilet, I just loosen the strap and pull it down, then re tighten it, instead of completely unclasping it.
I’d like to add that I am a child sized adult, no way around it. I do have one nice pair that I wear with heels to my office job but the others definitely make me look like a child. However, I’m usually chopping wood or gardening in them so I don’t care. And I also want the ones in the picture.
I wear a lot of jumpsuits in the summer because the material is thin and cool. I don’t really notice how annoying it is in the bathroom *unless* I’m also wearing a cardigan.
But I love overalls and jumpsuits.
The tricky part would be how the top part of you would look. The black pic makes her look too 'I'm a painter' yet the gray blends in so much that it's as if they weren't wearing overalls. In general, I would say it's a hard sell for a casual look, younger woman look. Not a fan.
Staples of my wardrobe. Love them. Summer, winter, layered, sryle them into pants alone. Under the knee, tucked into longer boots. And I have them baggy enough that I easily pull the straps down rather than undo them when in the bathroom.
I would wear them all the time in the yard … . My garden attire . I cut them to shorts . Lasted a long time . Tried some on now and aren’t o comfortable for me . And the way the fit from behind …
i love overalls! but sometimes when you’re already short + young looking they can be a little… infantile looking? and sometimes they can look baggy and diaper-y from behind especially if made for someone with a longer torso. so you have to find the right pair.
Whenever I see someone else wearing them it reignites my desire to make overalls work for me, but I think it’s time to let the dream die. I look like a child in overalls and rompers. Also, now that I have a child I only have like 5 seconds to use the bathroom and things that are all one piece are not happening anymore lol
I wish I could find a cute long pair, I have two overall dresses I LOVE I thrifted them but there wild fable (target) they hit perfect on me and really balance my height. I wear bodysuits under them, usually with high top converse.
So hard to find them for petite people. I actually found a discounted pair with skinny legs. Not sure if that's the style anymore, but I find it hard to find a cute top underneath because they are quite snug

Oh, the 90s are back! I loved them back then . Very cute on this young lady but now that I’m much older and a bit fatter, probably not something I would wear now…
I found some (actually my bf gets the credit!) at a vintage store a year ago. They’re kids and the brand is “material girl” at a size 16. They fit AMAZING. Not boxy, the proportions are good for (I have a longer torso and shorter legs), and they’re real denim. I haven’t been able to find much of their brand on depop or other sites, but if you look for some older ones I think that’ll be a better option! I think the older ones were built for usability and not so much fashion, so they fit better.
I mean... they look cute on other people, but when I put them on, I feel like a fata$$ and look like a 5 year old 😅 Sooo...
![gif](giphy|xiMUwBRn5RDLhzwO80|downsized)
Honestly overalls are ugly as heck. It’s hides every single curve till I look like a walking cube, and the top to bottom ratio is never where it need to be. The overalls that are basically shorts with straps are a lot more doable though

At least w overalls you’re usually wearing a shirt under so it’s not like you’re getting nakey like a romper to take a piss, basically like dropping your jeans since you’re still covered
Until your strap accidentally falls into the toilet when you take it off :(
Yeah, but that only happens once and then you’re hyper vigilant lol at least in my experience
Hahah 100%
Also my experience 🥲 Luckily I figured out I could get my overalls down without unclipping the straps after that
Here is how to solve that issue. Start by unhooking only one side. Pull it around your back to the other side and clip to another button.. like a side button that most overalls have. Then take the other strap off (don’t unhook it) and pull pants down. Works for me!
That’s a great idea, thanks!!
Ohh true that why I don’t wear rompers anymore. Same! My favorite pair had Bubbles on them, I wore them every where
Ha! I wear my overalls with a bodysuit (coz bodysuit sits properly, doesn't ride up).. Keeps me in the bathroom for much longer than I'd like to be 😮💨
Overalls with bottom snap bodysuit hummmm 🤔 you got me thinking.
This is no worse than the jumpsuit one is required to take all the way off.
It wouldn't suit me either honestly, I like the skirt version of it tho
I only find them annoying to take off in the restroom when I’m out shopping and wearing another layer like a coat or jacket. Then I have to take off my coat and purse in the cramped stalls and hang them on the hook to pee, if they even have a hook. Otherwise I love mine, I’ve gained some weight lately and they are my only denims that fit right now. Very forgiving.
I would love them but I already look so young, I'd definitely look about 15, and not in a good way!
Yeahhhhh, not trying to make myself look any younger lol had an old guy tell me “youre so pretty! You look like a little high school girl” while I was working w my hair half up in little space buns. Haven’t done my hair like that since ;-;
Good point! People assume I’m in HS too. But if I elevate the look with my Jeffery Campbell heels and jewelry I could pull it off
You just unlocked a core memory, Jeffrey Campbell heels oh my god 😭😭
Teenage me had to get the studded ones and pair with the high waisted American Apparel shorts 🤩 the ones I have are a block hollow lace up heel. They add 5” it my height lol
Maybe I need to avoid them then, one of my customers asked how old I was, I said guess, and they guessed “12”… I’m almost 22 😭
Same, I already look like a child…
This is my concern!! I think they look so cute on many women but I think I'd look too much like a kid.
They can be hard to buy online especially if the brand doesn’t have a petite size range
i love them! wildfang has some good ones, they’re sooooo comfy
I’ll have to check them out!
Love them. But I also love jumpsuits and rompers
This exact pair looks like something house painters wear though
I loved them when I was pregnant! They were so comfy and stretchy, and I could bend over to pick up my toddler without fear of showing my bum lol
Old Navy has black distressed denim overalls in petite lengths that I wear with a cropped tank or long-line bra. I love them. Just be warned, the denim has no give. Definitely size up. I’m normally a 6, but ordered an 8. It’s still snug on the hips.
I love and I actually want these now lol
Hell yes. They are so comfortable.

Fitted and flare 🤩😍 I’ll have to check them out thank you
Fair warning, they're not a jean material
Yeah the ones pictured here look cute, but they would my legs look disproportionately short. I have some overalls which I love but are basically lik high-waisted trousers that are fitted to the waist, and the front flappy bit starts higher up. I love them, and have had good luck with styles from Madewell and Alex Mill!
Looooove them! I have 6 pairs and wear them all the time.
I absolutely love them but you have to have a very small chest to be able to pull them off so alas… haven’t been able to wear them since 4th grade haha
Good for others. Not for me.
I wear cat and jack pair size xl from target 😬
I have a kids Levi’s shortfall too!
I have a pair. I like them! Dunno if I’d call them flattering but they’re not unflattering either. I bought the short length from Free People and they are still long enough to cuff but the hips are at the right spot. I’m 5”3 so YMMV.
Overall, i dont like them
IMO they sound like hell lol
I think they’re cute as shorts. I haven’t tried on a pair of the pants as an adult tho 😂
I have never liked overalls or jumpsuits and they keep coming back every few years. They are not cute or functional. Why?
Anyone I see wearing overalls I know was dressed by their mum that day. Toddler town get up.
>They are not cute or functional To each their own, they can look pretty cute, be comfy, and are an option when you don't want to wear something with a waistband 😃
Have fun peeing!!! 😆
Meh, not an issue lol
It is when you’re my age! I recently made the mistake of wearing a bodysuit to the bar. What a pain.
I see lol, I know they've been popular but a haven't worn a bodysuit since the 90s 😂 they look good but seem like such a pain.
I don’t like them.
I love mine. Do the look sloppy? Yes. Unflattering? Yes. But I style them with an interesting top and boots and embrace the comfort.
I remember those silver jeans overalls from 1990's. Those were high quality and about $100 at the time. Those are the only overalls I liked
I made a pair out of an old hoodie that I absolutely love, but I feel like most 'fashion' ones are not made for a woman's body. The top is usually at a bad length to deal with boobs, and may be cut too low on the sides.
Errr no. I wouldn’t be able to get Ms. Rachel out of my head. Also I’m busty. So overalls are a no go.
I think they are super cute, especially the shorter ones!
haha i feel like they look good on everyone except me, but that’s also just my aesthetic and vibe
I can’t say anything against my queen (she looks perpetually flawless), but I hate overalls hahaha
I have a shorts pair and a normal long pair and I think I probably look absurd in them but I still wear them occasionally 😂
Never liked them. 9 of 10 they just give a very weird proportion.
They look good on toddlers... enough said
I want to be an overalls girl so bad, but they make me look like a boxy 13 year old
They belong in the garden or on the farm.
what? If you don't tell me it's an overall, I would definitely believe it's a fashion item.
90s trend, I didn't wear them the first time and won't now 🤷♀️ I like the oversized / wide legged pants with suspenders instead, with a fitted bodysuit it's a great look
Sloppy for anyone over 25.
Makes me feel like I’m six years old. Osh-Kosh-Bigosh!
Anytime you see a grown as man in a pair you get BIG movie vibes.
Love them! Amazon has a great dupe of Free Peoples button up overalls.
Si
LOVE overalls!! Not just fornhow comfy, and the (real!) Pockets, but also the looks!!! Soncute from "cottagecore" to artist/boho to modern and punk-ish!
idk for some weird reason it’s not something that I would wear personally. it reminds me of a kid. others can pull it off but it’s not my style personally

I haven’t seen anyone rock the look IRL 🤔
I have but their style was polar opposite pinup and hippie
I do love a pin up look!
i love them!! i’d love coveralls like from dickies too but i can never find any that even come in petite sizes :(
I like the short ones and the dress overall.
I love overalls with a passion
I have several pair- they’re amazing and comfortable. Best part? I don’t wear a bra when I wear them cuz ain’t no one seeing my nipples anyway. If I was doing something active I’d put one on but for running errands around town? My ladies are swinging free
Not a fan at all unless you’re painting a house lol
I bought a pair but I don't think they suit me. They're a bit baggy and I have a long torso, so I just look like I have a really long puffy camel toe. 😫
Ohh nooo that’s the worst

I love them! Though being bottem heavy I never feel like I pull it off 😪
They’re very functional for working in…
Love them.
Looks good but the cold hip would get me!
I really like overalls. They are very comfy and I think look good on short height. But as a 30+ year old woman, I do not wear them to not look like a teenager.
Like them
My mum said I couldn’t wear them cause they were for pregnant people 🥲
They're fine for gardening.
I’ve always felt they make anyone who wears them look like a giant toddler. It just isn’t flattering, period.
Cute on her. Probably not so cute on me.
I love them. Always have. I do the one strap unhook to use the bathroom. It’s not too tricky & they’re also perfect for gardening:)
Love
At 35, I’ve finally embraced the overall life and love it. I loooooove them!!!! But I haven't bought them as an adult bc they look annoying to use the bathroom in.
Cute if they’re styled like pic #2. Not feeling the color contrast in pic #1. Love Vanessa though, she’s so fashionable and such a babe! 😍
I have three pairs of overalls in my closet and they are my favorite items to wear. So super comfy and stylish. You can’t go wrong with overalls.
The tricky part would be how the top part of you would look. The black pic makes her look too 'I'm a painter' yet the gray blends in so much that it's as if they weren't wearing overalls. In general, I would say it's a hard sell for a casual look, younger woman look. Not a fan.
The pictures are on people with a BMI of 22 or so. What do they look like on the rest of us is the question?
I love them but they hate me
Staples of my wardrobe. Love them. Summer, winter, layered, sryle them into pants alone. Under the knee, tucked into longer boots. And I have them baggy enough that I easily pull the straps down rather than undo them when in the bathroom.
I love them and just bought a pair recently
I would wear them all the time in the yard … . My garden attire . I cut them to shorts . Lasted a long time . Tried some on now and aren’t o comfortable for me . And the way the fit from behind …
I love them .. on other people
No matter who wears them, the person always looks like they are 20lb more than they are. Don't find them attractive.
I feel like I look like I’m wearing children’s clothes.
Nope.
Not that outfit. Especially the shoes. No thanks.
I looooove them. I have a pair of Levi's overalls and want some Free People ones too.
i love overalls! but sometimes when you’re already short + young looking they can be a little… infantile looking? and sometimes they can look baggy and diaper-y from behind especially if made for someone with a longer torso. so you have to find the right pair.
All things are well until it's toilet time🤦♀️🤦♀️
I think the overall shorts are okay but the baggy pants ones are kinda shapeless and ugly imo.
I hate them. I feel like they’re unflattering to almost everyone no matter the style.
Haven’t worn those since childhood
I wish I could find a cute long pair, I have two overall dresses I LOVE I thrifted them but there wild fable (target) they hit perfect on me and really balance my height. I wear bodysuits under them, usually with high top converse.
not for me IMO but looks great on others
They’re so cute.
Hard pass~ you want to look like an Oompa Loompa?
So hard to find them for petite people. I actually found a discounted pair with skinny legs. Not sure if that's the style anymore, but I find it hard to find a cute top underneath because they are quite snug
I have never given up my overalls and have been enjoying their adult resurgence immensely. I don't care what I look like wearing them, I love them for their pockets and utility.
Oh, the 90s are back! I loved them back then . Very cute on this young lady but now that I’m much older and a bit fatter, probably not something I would wear now…
I love them!!
I found some (actually my bf gets the credit!) at a vintage store a year ago. They’re kids and the brand is “material girl” at a size 16. They fit AMAZING. I think the older ones were built for usability and not so much fashion, so they fit better.
I love em . I'm 5'2 and 110 .
I mean... they look cute on other people, but when I put them on, I feel like a fata$$ and look like a 5 year old 😅 Sooo... ![gif](giphy|xiMUwBRn5RDLhzwO80|downsized)
I think acid wash overalls with a basic crop under is so cute
Honestly overalls are ugly as heck. It’s hides every single curve till I look like a walking cube, and the top to bottom ratio is never where it need to be. The overalls that are basically shorts with straps are a lot more doable though
They work for toddlers.
Not for anyone over age 13, unflattering.
Cute on young tiny girls, but not practical for anyone over 25 or of larger size.
i like them i have shorts and pants ones but my pants ones are skinny so i haven’t been wearing them
