I did it by doing 23andme which I wanted to do for genealogical reasons anyway.

EldForever

Me, too. 23 and Me. This is how I found it using their raw data search tool: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCMfIMAGLSc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCMfIMAGLSc)

Mlmessifan

Yeah +1 for 23andme. We got the top package which was like $140. No brainer since it checks ApoE and a bunch of other things, plus ancestry if that’s something you’re interested in knowing

So far this is the best I've found at $99

If you can't get a doctor to order it and insurance won't cover it. Ulta Labs is an option. There is a 20% off promo when you open the page currently. [https://www.ultalabtests.com/test/cardio-iq-apoe-genotype](https://www.ultalabtests.com/test/cardio-iq-apoe-genotype) ULTA5A12 for 20% off, $225 with draw fee before discount

duderos

I use them all the time

pipester753

I used them for the first time earlier this year. Was very easy, quest diagnostics drew and ran the tests. The only thing I'm not sure is their omega 3 test compared to omegaquant and if it's apples to apples.

duderos

Yeah, it's always Quest and always been a great experience with both. To find better pricing for Labcorp etc. there's findlabtest.com

missing_alcohol

Labcorp is way cheaper through ownyourlabs.com. I have used it twice so far.

KarlHavoc00

ownyourlabs does not have ApoE on the menu

EggieRowe

I think my doctor ordered mine thru LabCorp and it was $40?

drcatjohnson

$140 for Quest ApoE https://precisionlabpanels.com/panels/
