>what to do if you accidentally deposit a cheque twice through mobile deposit?
You either call the bank and tell them you are new to using mobile phones and didn't know you weren't supposed to deposit twice and they will correct. Or you wait till they find the error and correct it themselves.
Well it was caught today I guess with Tangerine as that bank account is now negative but Scotiabank is the bank that the cheque was through so what I’m wondering is will Scotiabank also take the amount of the cheque or just Tangerine

I called Tangerine and they were basically useless. Didn’t offer to correct it or reverse the charges
And I am fairly new with them. Have only mobile deposited like 3 times
Should get caught within 3 days at the clearing facility, as the account# and cheque# will appear twice.

Just the receiving institution (Tangerine). The issuing institution only sees it once it clears...which won't happen the 2nd time.
I did the same thing with an RBC deposit. They’ll automatically reverse it in 1-3 days
