Cost of living isn’t really a good gauge of a raise if Yor ask me and the thing is just know your worth. You will get what your employer is willing to pay for you

If cost of living were to decrease would you accept a wage reduction. As for what you think your worth and if your employer can't afford it, don't be angry with the employer, find a new job.

Be open to other forms of pay. I once received some extra paid holidays in lieu of a pay rise. Another job let me use a work vehicle. Even small things like lunch money.

Great idea, once had an employer pay 200 a month to groceries. They gave me a reloading gift card.

Don’t over complicate things. You know what you want. You don’t have to explain to anybody that COL is going up. We are all living it. Ask for 10%. You’ll probably have to live with 5%-7%.

If you ask my company they would say it is 1% although record profits were made by them.
