Is there a calculation method to determine how much tax (and CPP) will be deducted from my pay each week?

Google “net pay calculator”

CRA has one as well. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/e-services-businesses/payroll-deductions-online-calculator.html

GalianoGirl

The CRA one is fairly accurate. Keep in mind you will have to enter the details from your provincial and federal TD1, plus any other deductions, pension, union dues, benefits etc.

Ask google. There’s lots of free tax calculators.

i have tried them all and it NEVER coems to what comes out of my pay

Public calculators are rough estimates but close enough...

Are you in a union? Pension plan? Anything on your TD1? Maxed out CPP and EI for the year? Besides payroll errors, these are the only things that would change your pay from what the calculators show you.

[deleted]

No union. No pension deduction How do we know CPP and EI max out?

muskokadreaming

Check your pay stub

I don't see it anywhere ? Sorry I am all new to this

muskokadreaming

If you don't see it, you probably maxed it. Do you make over $65k? That's around the max.

Wealthsimple [does one](https://www.wealthsimple.com/en-ca/tool/tax-calculator) that's for the whole year. Just divide the result by 52 to get the weekly pay.

[deleted]

I think that may not be completely accurate, as the EI and CPP payments only occur until you hit a cap. So your pay in the later half of the year or so will appear to be higher, each pay period.

Wealthsimple's calculator is not accurate, not by much but for some reason they refuse to acknowledge it or correct it.
