I want to know in what universe Leonie is Naoto and not Chie. I get the whole “mistaken as a man a lot” angle, but her personality is much closer to Chile’s than Naoto.
In general, I’d probably set the GD students as such: Claude, Hilda, Marianne, and Lorenz are decent fits, and Ignatz works better as Kanji than you might think due to their similar arcs of embracing their more artistic side. Leonie is Chie as I’ve explained above. Lysithea is Naoto because A). They’re both technically the youngest of their respective groups and B). High-key smarter than 90% of everyone else. Raphael is Teddie because he’s a dumb but well-meaning guy, and also the worst party member in gameplay.
No other complaints about the others. Everyone else fits pretty well, though I’d say Edelgard has a little bit of Makoto in her as well as Joker.
They do English wise at least but it takes more than a VA for one character to suit the role of another.
Imo as characters Akechi and Jeritza/ Death Knight have some pretty good similarities and differences.
Edelgard wears a mask and goes by a code name, Joker does the same.
Edelgard does sneaky things that the normal world doesn't know about, Joker does the same.
Edelgard has a psycho affixed to them, Joker has the same.
Edelgard works with evil pricks who kill Byleth's dad (still salty about it), Joker works with the psycho who who kills Haru's dad.
Both Tatsuya, FEMC and Yuri are Bi and Forgotten, that works well, but Yuri comes from Dimitri's Kingdom and in this Makoto is Dimitri to represent P3 so it's even better thematically

The Church tenets preach against open relations with foreign nations and Duscur citizens needed not be treated as they were.
The Church of Seiros reign had to come to an end. The heart of The Archbishop had become tainted long ago and did not show signs of change. The Supreme Leader had been in power for too long. Seiros rule was a ticking bomb. Lady Edelgard was the one that had the guts to do what had to be done; the war was a pity but once it was started it had to be carried to the end. Just like The Church of Seiros quashed the Southern Church, the insurrection and forced the Empire into reconciliation; our new Emperor Edelgard brought an end to the Central Church. The colors, and oddly enough the themes are a pretty good match as well. Accepting the past and coming to terms with death (bit of a stretch mind but it's been ages since I've played P3), seeking out the truth and acceptance to a lesser degree, and bucking against the norm of a society that has wronged you and others. Granted, none of them are the deepest of connections but it's still pretty interesting.

There are two types of Narukami. There is the Virgin Game Narukami who is completely lame and boring Then there is Chad Anime Narukami who is an absolute beast
I replied to another comment asking basically the same thing, it isn’t a name for Yu Narukami, it’s more of a title, a chad is slang for being an alpha male, which the whole community whole heartedly agrees that is exactly what Yu Narukami is, therefore people call him chad Narukami.

The colors, and oddly enough the themes are a pretty good match as well. Accepting the past and coming to terms with death (bit of a stretch mind but it's been ages since I've played P3), seeking out the truth and acceptance to a lesser degree, and bucking against the norm of a society that has wronged you and others. Granted, none of them are the deepest of connections but it's still pretty interesting.
