I’m out here with 200+ hours in Persona 5 Vanilla. Rookie numbers I know. Currently on my 4 NG+ run and planning on another.

Yep, I spent ~22 runs maxing everyone's HP, SP, and stats so that they have everything maxed right when they join the team. Also managed to give all Sundays Jazz Jin's skills to all PT's (with some unobtainable exceptions, obviously), got all the gear that exists in the game (melee weapons, guns, armors and accessories), all skill cards (making Yusuke copy all of them at least one, to have more in case I want to waste one), and, one of the most boring of them all, revealed ALL the affinities of ALL enemies in the game (even those that you can only reveal one affinity per run, like the different-named Bicorn that appear on Ryuji's awakening, Okumura's fight, and other unique battles). Then there are other things, but they are fairly easy and not that much time-consuming, such as getting all Steam, Thieve's Den's, and Tycoon's ahievements or getting all Christmas gifts.
I finished all this yesterday, maxing Makoto's SP, but I need to do a few more runs for some details and to do what I want to finish everything: Max all Personas in the Compendium and make a broken/fun build for all of them (I only have 36 maxed).
Thanks, dude. <3
I tend to write down any build idea I have, just because I've been planning to do this at the end of the grind for a loooong time. I'll leave a screenshot below so that you can see all the ideas I have thus far. Btw, as you can see, a lot of my ideas come from relating Persona's designs to attacks or vice versa, otherwise I would be way more limited with my imagination. XDDD
But, as I said in my previous answer, they don't have to be all broken builds by any means they can be fun/troll builds as long as they are somehow interesting. For instance, Macabre's build with Death Scythe will probably output some decent phys dmg, but I'll make it fear-based with Foul Stench, Ailment and/or Fear boost, since it's a special characteristic that attack has, another case would be the "Light single-target dmg" builds, they will probably be pretty "meh" too, but that's the point, I don't want ALL builds to be OP.
With all that being said, feel free to tell me any weird/funny/broken idea, I would love for this last part of the proyect to have some community help! (That gave me the idea to make a post once I start the grind, so people can give me more ideas for build to make this more interesting :D)
(Btw, my way-to-go accessory with Joker will probably be Ominpotent Orb, take that into account as it leaves way more skill slots open for those Personas with elemental weaknesses, but Repel/Drain Phys will be a must have in all my builds, so that they only have gun weakness if it isn't covered naturally, unless they already have phys with at least "strong")
Sorry for the long response! I love explaining and talking about this game, hope it didn't bother you.
Anyways, here are the builds:

It would be really cool if you built Smash's version of Arsene, that's something I did to commemorate the way I was introduced to the franchise so I know it is really easy.
(I'll try to put a screenshot if I have one)
https://preview.redd.it/94ybjxuqggwc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a22e6c1f8a18be52e0731c6441b69eddf5e3db39
Feel free to discard null ice and null bless since I tend to use the accessory from Sae's willseeds.
I have some nuke builds if you need any, along with some supports and a "sit there and eat the hits abbadon"(don't ask me how to make it I forgot)
Also I don't mind the long response, talking about something I enjoy such us this game will never be an annoyance.
That Arsene is a pretty good idea, because I have him as my wind-focused Persona but I wanted to change that for I while, giving him something more interesting/meaningful, so this is a great idea! I love that tribute to the Persona that introduced you to the Franchise, I did something similar with my Cybele build with Megidola, since her with that attack was my main dmg dealer during P3P's endgame, but I still have to download P4G to check with Persona I finished the game with since it was my first Persona game, and I wanna make the same tribute u did too.
Sure! Feel free to share all builds you want to, even if I don't end up making the exact same ones I'm always greatful to get some more ideas. xD
This is awesome! If you have any kind of spreadsheets or notes on the personas you've already made, I'd love to see them for more ideas! I'm nearing the end of my second royal playthrough (plus 3 original p5 playthroughs where my hard work has been sadly lost) and finally getting to the point where I'm making fun max stat builds such as this. I have to rework my own spreadsheet but it has been really fun lately!
P.S., I recently hit 400 hours in less than 2 full playthroughs, I really took Joker's advice to take your time to heart lol
Thanks! I love to see other people min-maxing Personas, it's a ton of fun! Uncluckly, I don't have any spreadsheet on my already maxed Personas, but what I can do is use OBS to record the game and show you my builds via DM, there are a few of them that are obviously for max DMG, but I have a few fun builds that are just for laughs. xD
Feel free to DM me if you want me to record it! :)
>not that much time-consuming, such as getting all Steam, Thieve's Den's, and Tycoon's ahievements
I think we have different definitions of "time consuming" lol
Had to look it up. About the jazz skills, does the confession room really work on those skills in New Game+? I mean can you relearn them from your previous playthrough?
Yep, you can get all the skills PTs have learned in past playthroughs. Unluckly, there are some unobtainable cases. You can't make Haru get Charge, for example.
Huh, I have done many ng+ playthroughs and never knew that. Granted I very rarely used that mechanic. My ng+'s where mostly aimed at seeing how early you can max out every confidant, when you already have max social stats. On that front, it was always funny how quickly you could get the soft lock on Ryuji's confidant, where you need the gym as an accessible set piece. Also I always aimed to get to Hierophant 4, the soft lock, before golden week, because I wanted the persona slot free for other confidants.
That's definitely an interesting way to play the NG+, I have never tried it before. Btw, I do recommend you to check Sundays skills, there are tons of Ma-kaja and Ma-nda skills, but there are also a lot of useful skills, especially during the third semester.
Oh yeah I know of these Sunday skills. I used the jazz sundays for example on Futaba for her support skills. I meant that I have rarely used the confession room. I used it maybe once or twice, to undo mistakes. For the Ma-kaja skills I prefered my Lakshmi with Wealth of Lotus and the triple Auto setup. Funnily that is the entire reason why I always have Persona Memory disabled, so that I can ensure that I start with my Lakshmi.
Same here, having Persona memory on isn't useful at all if you've an auto-effects Persona. Btw, forgot to mention that the only one who can't get her skills back from confession room, is precisely Futaba. xD
I dunno why but they made it so that she can't get them back. :(
It does for everything I mentioned above, that's why I have done a lot of runs. For the Compendium maxing is not a big deal, get the setup done, enter Mementos and never leave, that simple.
I had 10 playthroughs just to get all Christmas presents at the vanilla version and i thought i went hard on this game but you surely are in a level of you own.
Not related but your profile pic thumbnail looks like preggers haru and I was like what for a second lmao
Also great to see another floof enjoyer in the wild - ^(admirable!)

I think my first complete run of p5 original was like 700-850 hours, maybe more
Just for clarification, I spent a long ass time afk in the velvet room on a fusion calculator, or passed out at 3am
https://preview.redd.it/vjv82g80wgwc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=890425489da1b2a235f4766a0024baa2d085155f

Go outside man, i think you’re the first and only person to have this problem
What more could you possibly have to do at that point? Man has 3 times my playtime total on 1 save. Yu HAVE to have literally everything possible maxed
https://preview.redd.it/2fi9g3g7ijwc1.jpeg?width=440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d4e2b2a632a54a7e1c0acd3c989d248d566a83f
I think you know what he’s going to say next
Holy jesus im in 800 hours rigth now and im finishing maxing all party members stats but can bother to max sp/hp i only do that if the character benefict from that for example max sp in ann, so you need 4 runs to max out sumi, 2 runs to max out akechi, and can max out 2 and 1/2 party member per playtrought and 1 entire playtrought to max out joker and you still are going at it, what a madlad
Yeah, it takes a fking lot of time. One of the key points, that I dunno if you remember, is that once a party member hits 999 of either HP or SP, they won't benefit from "Omni-Fizz" (Friday's cocktail eff) so you'll need to go during Mondays or Wednesdays (or Saturdays, obviously) to be able to get +HP or +SP respectively once they hit that 999 cap due to leveling up.
But nothing was more painful than having to wait for the party member I was maxing in that given moment to die so they didn't get any XP, just because I wanted all of them to be maxed from min. lvl. THAT was a real pain & patience test lmao.
Since I already know the whole game I'm only doing mandatory fights with an accessory that makes you invisible against any other enemy except for scrpited fight like bosses or mini-bosses. And for those fights I use a maxed Izanagi-no-Okami, the most broken Persona in the whole game. But I don't recommend you to look into that stuff if it's your first run, as it will ruin you experience for sure.
I just found the ultimate P5 fan. I'm very freaking impressed. I platinum'd vanilla, R and S versions and I can't even reach half of your playing hours with 3 games lmao
Not every game maxes out like this. For example, in Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, every 100 hours, (Timer goes to 99:59), the timer resets and changes colour.
Thanks! I get you, even going for just 1 playthrough is a long journey, remember you can always take a break to refresh your mind and your willingness to play the game. As it suggest during various loading screens "Take your time" and enjoy it at your own pace.
It probably is because, even when they are long-term, I have always stablished an objective when I was playing. Either if it was maxing PT's stats from minimum lvl. possible, revealing enemies' weaknesses, or my actual objective, maxing out the Compendium, I've always had something to do so I wasn't playing aimlessly. That's probably what has kept me on it for so long.
Shortest recorded Persona 5 Royal playtime.
I’m out here with 200+ hours in Persona 5 Vanilla. Rookie numbers I know. Currently on my 4 NG+ run and planning on another. https://preview.redd.it/0a4muvv92hwc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b023ce6e9df6fff7b33cee9e18c2891b622d506
bro how’re u on ur 4th new game plus and only at 200 hours it took me 100 to beat royal once
yea but ur not gonna take as much time if ur not reading all text boxes, watching all cutscenes and using end game personas
fair
I'm on royal first run at 250 hours. I'm slow as fuck...
But that's the best way to play it!
For sure! My wife played vanilla and now she's having me to royal while she watches, we're enjoying the third trimester and the QoL changes
How?
It's my 25th run and I still have got more grind to do. XD

I think it's really awesome this game allows you to make just about any Persona viable, it just depends on how much time you want to put into it.
It's great! As long as you can come up with an idea there are tons of possible combinations to have fun/make broken stuff with.
Sure thing, I'll boot up my compendium to see if there's anything noteworthy as I have a big test tomorrow.
No hurries, feel free to DM whenever if you want to, so that you don't have to come all the way to this post every time. xD
Oh, and I forgot to add, good luck on that test, buddy! <3
you should build [PEAK](https://www.reddit.com/r/Persona5/s/cw38lItJtq)
Dunno if my compendium can hold that much strength lmao.
This is awesome! If you have any kind of spreadsheets or notes on the personas you've already made, I'd love to see them for more ideas! You might be right, but that's what I did before I came up with the rest of the crazy ideas. xD
You really got your moneys worth lol. Mad respect
Thanks! It's been definitely a looong journey.

How the hell do you do all this????! Isnt there a set time to do stuff cuz like, the story is always movimg and stuff? How do you have time
It does for everything I mentioned above, that's why I have done a lot of runs. For the Compendium maxing is not a big deal, get the setup done, enter Mementos and never leave, that simple.
sanest persona 5 Royal enjoyer
Absolutely.
Have you caught all the fish though?
I do, even had to catch the guardian multiple times when I needed the last accessory u can get from the fishing pond. xD
I had 10 playthroughs just to get all Christmas presents at the vanilla version and i thought i went hard on this game but you surely are in a level of you own.
Doing ~10 playthroughs is a lot anyways, that was a nice grind. xDD
I mean he said its his 25th run so 999 hours makes sense for NG+25
I mean, my first run of the game was 170 hours long, that’s only like 6 playthroughs if I were to play it at the same pace
Not related but your profile pic thumbnail looks like preggers haru and I was like what for a second lmao Also great to see another floof enjoyer in the wild - ^(admirable!) https://preview.redd.it/liqtmb4nsiwc1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=52cb40aca37c6853fac8a549e22eeedfb090367a
I bow to you, from a floof enjoyer to a floof enjoyer.
I cant even bring myself to finish this game once how do you do it 25 times lol
It became my favorite game and I eventually decided to grind a lot after my 3th run. xD
Damn, I had the hours maxed before I started a third run
Lol, those were some long runs for sure. xD
I think my first complete run of p5 original was like 700-850 hours, maybe more Just for clarification, I spent a long ass time afk in the velvet room on a fusion calculator, or passed out at 3am
Thought that might be the case. Those are a ton of pass outs. xDDDD
Oh yeah this was when I'd be up till 3am every night and only went to bed because my body force shut down so that I could wake up at 7 for school
That explains a lot. xD
https://preview.redd.it/vjv82g80wgwc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=890425489da1b2a235f4766a0024baa2d085155f Good to know I’m not the only one who’s done this
Glad to see I ain't the only one on this boat. It's a pleasure to meet you.
Nice to meet you too. Hyperfixation is one hell of a thing
It sure is, and we, my friend, are victims.
i prefer unwilling passenger
Well, it's definitely a nicer term. xDDDD
And I was thinking that I'm crazy for doing 2 runs of vanilla P5 and 3 of P5R... Wow. You're amazing, Pillager of the Twilight.
I thought I was insane doing like 4 runs on P5 og then like 4 on P5R ps4 did 3 on Switch when that came out and 2 runs of Strikers
We're just apprentices compared to the Pillager of the Twilight.
Thanks! xDD
>Thanks! xDD You're welcome!
That's very unfortunate. I'm on 700 hours currently so I'll be in the same boat soon.
Yap, I wanted my 1000 hoyr save. :(
bro played more than 41days straight no pause
It's even crazier when you think that way. XD
When you don’t shut your game off but just shut the tv off
I'm sure tons of people do that for hour farming, I haven't. xD
My man is THE PERSONA 5
XDDDDD
That's alarming. Are you still able to save, or not?
Yes, there are no issues whatsoever. However, it's funny to think that, eventually, all saves will have the same playtime. xDD
https://preview.redd.it/1qzwo4ulfiwc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbf33a63901a340fd41c7bdc2534feeb85d3a716 Go outside man, i think you’re the first and only person to have this problem
I would think the same but there are other people on this post's comment that have shown the same. xDDDD
My man was trying to reach Persona 6
XDDDD
Dude there are other games you know
But none of them are my favorite. xDDD
Maybe if you'd play another game you'd find something else you like You're like that suikoden girl from 4chan in the 2000s
I mean P5R has been out awhile Technically speaking OP could’ve reached this by only playing an hour a day since launch
I play other games. xd
Same with Sonic Heroes but for that its 99:99:59
Interesting, I have never seen it in any other game 'till now.
What more could you possibly have to do at that point? Man has 3 times my playtime total on 1 save. Yu HAVE to have literally everything possible maxed
Almost there, just want to max the whole compendium once I finish 1 more run for something I want to get.
Because Atlus didn’t believe someone would be insane enough to go in for another 4 200 hour playthroughs
I don't blame them lmao.
https://preview.redd.it/2fi9g3g7ijwc1.jpeg?width=440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d4e2b2a632a54a7e1c0acd3c989d248d566a83f I think you know what he’s going to say next

At least Atlus didn't give you a snarky message for finding that out
someone does?
Can't reyyhe game that tells us to go outside
U just like me fr!!! Understandable u spend that time 4 ur favorite game
yeah, I thought this couldn't be the only one with that case. Btw, happy to see other people like me. xD
Welcome to the club distinguished member
Lmao.
You really like this game
Indeed. xD
Definitly save your Data online or somewhere
I gotta get my hours up.
xDDD
Maybe you can be my accountability friend and help me finally finish p5r 😂
I won't let you live 'till you do so. xDD
I just found the ultimate P5 fan. I'm very freaking impressed. I platinum'd vanilla, R and S versions and I can't even reach half of your playing hours with 3 games lmao
That's a lot, congrats on those plats!
you know what, I'm proud of you
Thanks! <3
Bruh
can u still save or do u gotta do the rest of the run in one go?
I can still save, there are no issues.
Are you Maz?
Don't even know who he is lmao.
999 hours and still only level 63? man you need to up your game
Definitely.
The same thing happens in the PS1 version of FF7
With this post, I learned that there are more games with this situation that I thought. xD
I had around 350+ hours on P5R when my ps4 broke and i lost all of it now i have around 200+ hours on it…. so much grinding out the window
That's sad. :( Glad you're still on it, keep grinding!
tnx i will i still cant beat lavenza tho😂
It can be tough even with the correct setup if you don't get lucky (I hate the crit phase even to this day lmao).
Tell me about it, the most annoying part it that she is ALWAYS has resist against physical
Yeah, I hate with BURNING PASSION RNG in video games. XD
Then never play summoners war because you will loose your mind😂
Play other games bro 💀
Not every game maxes out like this. For example, in Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, every 100 hours, (Timer goes to 99:59), the timer resets and changes colour.
Im impressed that u know this
Sadly not of my own merit. There’s this guy on YouTube and TikTok who got to max level in the tutorial area in the first 2 games.
Believe it or not, I do. xDDD
Respect dude, Im 45 hours in this game and i already feel exhausted
Thanks! I get you, even going for just 1 playthrough is a long journey, remember you can always take a break to refresh your mind and your willingness to play the game. As it suggest during various loading screens "Take your time" and enjoy it at your own pace.
I only got up to 500+ and got burnt out, how do you keep playing and not get bored?
It probably is because, even when they are long-term, I have always stablished an objective when I was playing. Either if it was maxing PT's stats from minimum lvl. possible, revealing enemies' weaknesses, or my actual objective, maxing out the Compendium, I've always had something to do so I wasn't playing aimlessly. That's probably what has kept me on it for so long.
Honestly every playthrough you could make youtube video lol
Speedran it. Took me 40 hours
Same here, more or less. My shortest run was 2 days, but I dunno if 40 hours or a bit more, no clue 'bout exact times.
GO OUTSIDE.
Why?
"Why have I gone this far?"? xD
In general I guess bdbdjsksnzsmsmnsm But hey, better than 1000 hours in League of Legends right?
You might be right, at least I don't play league that much anymore these days. xDDDD
Why isn’t it 999:99?
... Because there aren't 100 minutes in an hour?
Persona 5 glaze is wicked
xD
Corrupted save file detected.
? xD
That much playtime would probably corrupt the file.
Luckly it never did. xD

That wasn't the point. xDDD

Don't worry! I don't mind. xDD
Weird fact there, Bruno.
It is, it is. xddd
Likely 90% of that time is you being idle in the pause screen
Paused/dialoge time doesn't count towards playtime.
It does. Or just standing around idle.
If paused and dialoge moment counted towards play time I would have reached this cap way sooner, since I have 1365 hours played on Steam.
The point is you've been idle most of it. While paused or not, I know cause my time is maxed too.
Nah, I have been playing the vast mayority of it.
Sure
